  • Love that riff !

  • Thanks to KOOL97FM for introducing me to this version on Tuesday of this week.

  • The NC and SC Coast would term this "Beach Music"..........and so it is!!

  • the first second i tought was Bonanza theme.

  • I just love this song, its like the first time I ever heard it every time?

  • I know what you mean. It's hard to get sick of

  • Must agree... Great version!

  • One of the best groups ever.

    The Pride of Richmond,VA.

  • Great version.

  • great sound, about as good as the jaguars' version; great song, once again, that I've never heard before, but i love it, nevertheless; ty and keep up the good postings!!

  • After listening tio this sound, I look at the Jarmels in a different light. Great version of this classic,

  • out here in L.A., it's always good to get some latin flavah in the mix, so we do Crests My Juanita, Rosemarie, and My original "Your Love".........that sounds waaaaaay to much like a certain ballad by the Flamingos.......!!!!!!!!

  • wow! what a awesome take on this song!!!!!! Jarmels, right on!!!!

  • There's another take on the Jarmels arrangement by a group called The Latin Lads.. They keep it doo wop but use a salsa band.. It's damn good

  • Actually I can confirm that this WAS side B of "A Little Bit of Soap," as my father owned this very record. Great, underrated group... reminiscent of The Drifters.

  • You are correct

  • Johnny Maestro is the best IMO...but this is a great version I've never heard till now...excellent post, and nice to hear something a bit different than "Little Bit Of Soap (I agree, never a favorite of mine)

  • Johnny Maestro is tied with The Jaguars for me (best slow version and best fast version). So many good versions out there

  • WOW!!! THIS SONG IS BEUTYFUL!!!!

  • i like the jarmels what a cool version the backing harmonies are brilliant just a groovy doowop

  • Gorgeous, this is only the third record by The Jarmels I've heard, my favourite being 'Little lonely One'.

  • And the way you look tonight, This is nice tune, is it not side two of, "A little bit of soap", I like that one too. Thanks for posting.

  • What a good version of this song!

  • Yeah, this is a masterful performance of the song and I just love the up-tempo arrangment. At the same time, I admit that some of the slow and romantic renditions are quite impressive, as well. I believe that Frank Sinatra, for instance, does a nice little finger-popping jazz-like version that's also worth the listen.

  • Absolutely.. My favorite up tempo versions are this one and Johnny Maestro's. Frankie's got my favorite mid tempo version. My favorite slow versions are by The Jaguars and The Lonely Guys.

  • Yeah, this is very nice. I never cared for the hit side, and had never heard this, and was really surprised. I agree about Maestro's version, and of course Sinatra's and the Jaguars. Fred Astaire introduced this song -- as he did countless other classics -- and his versions are also worth checking out. In the early '50s he made a wonderful album with the Verve house jazz combo that has this song. The album is called "Steppin' Out" and is on CD.

  • Nice, Very Nice. Thanks.

  • cool song they sing it excellent! great instrumentals and a great lead voice

  • This is another one of my rare favorites. Happens to be on the flip side of the old 45 record "Little Bit of Soap". Back in the day 45's had a lot of two sided hits from great artist, especially Motown. You really got more for your money, when it came to music. music.

  • Agree! I always played the flips, there is just one I could never play (still can't today) from the day my brother bought it new back in 58, green DE-FI label, I played Donna 100s of times, but that labamba thing just can't handle it. I never in a trillion years ever though it would one day be a #1 hit for a song that the average American doesn't understand one word. Well, time to get lost in the 50s again!

  • thank god for youtube! where i can get lost in the fifties and share music with my buddys Bring back the 50's :)

  • AHHHHH, this is the good side, damn DJs played the wrong side????????????????

  • I agree 100%... A Little Bit Of Soap isn't a bad record but this is so damn much better.

  • yes i second that

  • Correct, I think most would agree.

  • thanks, I have been looking for this for years; my favorite rendition; again thanks

  • you're welcome

  • Awesome song, luv!

  • I like this little gem,.ktf.

  • Oh nice, i wish i had this. I love it. It is great! Ty for sharing. GREAT! johnnie

  • Ilove this version. thank you for sharing

  • real tight PJ!

  • Now ya talkin', this is what I call effortless listening. Great song!!

  • love this

  • Very good version, I really like it!

  • Nice sound here.

  • Very nice B side and there are many more B sides that should have been played more, I know I did & I still have many in my collection

  • wow love it ktf mate

  • Very beautiful song!! 5 stars

    ***** paolo :)

  • An excellent song....both sides of the 45 are great.

  • Agreed... It's a shame this side wasn't released seperately. It probably would have been a hit.
