Not exactly, a little correction, there was another hit movie 'Dil De ke Dekho" a Shammi Kapoor starrer which came in 1959, one year earlier than Hum Hindustani. DDKD is supposed to be the first genuine musical hit of Usha Khanna, and usually considered her debut movie. There was another movie called "daera" by Kamal Amrohi in which musical credit was named as Usha Khanna & Jamal Sen (in 1953), but it was a lesser known movie.
