Unlike your previous correspondent I have (mostly) happy memories of Carmel (this is Simon Harper by the way) and being from Wallingford I even get to see the old place sometimes when I visit the family. I used to go to this wanky school. I am SO glad it closed down! Now if only I hadn't been reminded by seeing this clip when I looked up 'It's A Knockout'. This looks like it was just as crap as when I went there!
It's a shame you have bad memories. I remember Carmel was far from a walk in the park when I was there but I remember a chat I had with a German ho had left the school. I was complaining, and he told me that I would have a much different attitude after I left. I did...I'm sorry you didn't.
