It amazes me how they can throw and catch those guitars like he does.

You can tell he's upset/ angry to a degree, but when he threw the guitar, I thought he may have just been passing it to someone, like other people pass it when they want to run around without a guitar, obviously something wasnt working, but I'm very impressed at how he held himself and just made the most of it and yea, he's great with/out the guitar isn't he =) at least he didnt storm off or anything =) And I can only imagine how he would be upset if he couldnt play his guitar cause he gives

everything to the crowd each and every night and I reckon he was feeling more like he let someone down or didnt get to do as he intended, not chucking a hissy fit or something =) gosh I saw him recently and it was Wednesday night and he said it was a monday - he was so embarassed after he said that!! I couldnt believe how embarassed he acted - buried his head in his hands and kept apologising! I think he was disappointed he couldnt give the crowd everything he intended, but he did nothing wrong

He's a legend - an absolute Trooper and Tonk tough with everything going for him!! It really was the best show I've ever seen!!! And angelleatherandlace what great footage!! You had brilliant seats- Im so jealous!!!! lol I'm going to watch more of your vids now- thanks for posting it!! I love seeing him live - his dvds are always on at my place =) lol.. and how cool are his band!! Man they never miss a beat!

The problem wasn't with his guitar. It was one of the pedals in his pedal board that was fritzing out. Also his guitars are in the 50 - 100 thousand range. He has a couple that are even more than that.

How professional is that. A major Fuk up happens and Keith still keeps his composure even though he visibly mad. He doesn't usually use the fender for that song, he usually uses a Gibson. And for all the people talking about him giving his guitar away or buying a new one....Keith wouldn't buy half of his guitars and when he does, he'd spend more in you $8,000 range, not $700.And the fender he is using there he has had for about 15 years, maybe more, so no way would he have given it away

Thanks for your comment. Yes, he is nothing short of a professional. That's why I uploaded it so people could see that. That was the 2nd guitar that he went through just on that song, and he still went on and had fun...as is obvious in the video.

JONBON4EVA, that is not true that fender he is using is one of his many 40th Telecasters, this one is in much better condishon that the one he has had since the 90's

you're right it's not a reissue but the original "Clarence" had the neck and middle pick up removed, perhaps he bought 2 and had them professionally removed on this one, and physically retired the original.

I have never ever seen Keith perform any song without some form of instrument in his hands and I've always wondered how he'd perform just singing his heart out. IDK why I love that so much but him just singing no guitar is so amazing to watch haha I loved that

I went to his concert in St. Louis, and it was the "Escape Together" tour, too. He's such a great entertainer!! i didnt expect him to be only because he seems so quiet. :] but he was awesome!! I'm glad he didnt freak out and leave the stage all mad. i think he would have lost alot of respect from people if he did that. even though his guitar messed up, he still seemed to be having fun and kept on smiling!! Way to go!! haha. :]

I don't think he really "threw" it....look closely....it looks like he tossed it hard to someone. He probably had to put some force behind it to get it to the person.

Maybe he should not change his rig before showtime with out a sound check the rumor is that he handed a pedal to his tech just before showtime and said he wanted to use it but it did not work .for what ever reason no need to throw shit at the people who are trying their best to keep up with the ever changing world of a guitar player. Stop changing it and it will work.

Key word you used is "rumor." I find it hard to believe that he would've thrown his guitar if it was just the pedal. I'm sure he wasn't throwing it at anyone. He simply threw it off to the side. I've seen much worse on stage than that!!! As far as the techs go, that's what they get paid for....keeping up with changes and making sure everything works properly.

Keith isn't a spaz; he's a really easy going guy. Sure, people get frustrated but he was fine. And for your information Werliegig, a pedal will not turn the guitar on/off.. A pedal will add a certain effect to your guitar. If the AMP was not working, then yes, the guitar won't work. So your "rumour" is BS.

Like I said, Keith wouldn't hurt a fly. He's pretty chill, but he's a totally energetic man when he's into his music performing live, lol. That's cause he's got passion.

Well said. I uploaded this so people could see that he is an entertainer. I've seen so-called entertainers get pissed and walk off stage not caring that their fans came to see them. That isn't an entertainer. That's someone who needs a different profession!!! Keith got over it and put on one hell of a show!!!

The reason he was so pissed is that this was the 2nd guitar that didn't work for this song. He started the song with a different one and it didn't work, so someone rushed him out THIS one, and it didn't work either! We think when he threw it it landed on those big, black boxes on the side of the stage. Mark, his guitar tech, popped his head up and grabbed it. I wonder if Mark got in trouble for having 2 screwed up guitars that night? And earlier Keith yelled at security! What a night!

maybe it had something to do with which guitar he uses for which song. he usually (and i mean everytime ive seen him play this song) uses his Gibson SG not his Tele.... maybe that had something to do with it.

ya, he doesnt do it at all live, in fact on the music video for kiss a girl, it shows him doing a mix of the solo with the slide and parts without the slide.
