Your height is not bad LIN , it is actually an average height and not considered short.. I knew a person who did this operation but only on one of his legs and for a different reason than these people. He did it because of an accident he had in childhood that caused one of his legs to be a bit shorter than the other, he's pretty tall though and doesn’t need to be any taller, but went through it to make one of his legs equal to the other leg...

1. Find a partner the same height as you
2. Apply for a college that has no restriction on height.
3. find a job that doesent have restriction on height.
4. Find acceptance in yourself and the way god made you

4 feet 8 inches is really short, i feel bad for the guy. i'm also short by average but 4'8 for a guy must be very difficult.

according to your parent's height, you are lucky to be 5'8, there's a chance you are not from one of your parent's gene pool.
the general formal height for male is mom's (height + dad's)/2 and + 7 inchs. 70% chance.

ouch! that would be the last resort if i can no longer grow naturally by exercising eating healthy and good sleep! even though it comes down to my last resort i would not do this to my legs!!!

Your height is not bad LIN , it is actually an average height and not considered short.. I knew a person who did this operation but only on one of his legs and for a different reason than these people. He did it because of an accident he had in childhood that caused one of his legs to be a bit shorter than the other, he's pretty tall though and doesn’t need to be any taller, but went through it to make one of his legs equal to the other leg...
I wouldn’t recommend it..

@LINX29X92 I know how you feel. Being 5'7 is such a weird gray area in hight. I find that it's still taller than most girls but shorter than a lot of guys and it really does suck... But 5'7 isn't so bad, it can even be character building. Really it's only "kind of" short. But i know how you feel, at least 3 extra inches would be great. Although considering there are ppl in the world who fall below 5 feet, guys like you and me really aren't so bad (No offense, smaller people)

@JetBlack7000 I'm 5'5 and I wish I was around that height. like in the 5'7-5'10 area...I don't want to be like 6'4 or taller, because I have heard stories on how it makes you slow, you get tired of walking really quickly, you get foot problems, and bone problems as well. Also I read somewhere that every inch over 5'10 takes off like 1 year off your lifespan.

Heightism is so pervasive and damaging, it drives people to such drastic measures to escape it- yet it is so invisible that the idea that short people (particularly men) are discriminated against is typically met with stunned ridicule. This video flippantly ignores the psychological pain of the patients and the discrimination which caused it, and its congratulatory praise for those who undergo such a brutal procedure only helps to perpetuate heightism.

Bone surgery is safe but hard procedure and expensive! It's not like you'll gonna inject bad stuff in the body. It uses the body's own recovery nature then grows when recovered.

@clambetae stretching only work when the plates are actually open. Ones it's closed the spine is full of discs and adds 2 - 3 inches your natural height called decompression.

Well, this looks crazy. I feel short too at a age of 15 (just turned 15 xD) I am 5'9" Well I live in Holland and most people are 6'1" - 6'8"

I'm 18 and I am 5'4 tall. I might not be tall; my friends are half a head taller than me, but they still accept me for who I am. stretching oneself pair of limb just for the sake of 2-3 inches is painful and me personally is not worth it.
