  • Those are not lamprey's. those are close relatives of the lamprey called hagfish

  • do i hear the clanking of dishes?! WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY IN A RESTURAUNT?

  • @carlolover1 LoL? they are fucking delicious !

In europe 1 kg in marinade of this is 22.30 or 50+ euro.

They need to be alive , if they go on frying pen when they are dead 10+ minutes = shit

  • where are u, i heard cantonese

  • @kkmiguel18 sure

  • i wanna throw someone in there

  • Parasites or not --->these critters are not lampreys but HAGFISH =)

    have a good day mate

  • they're probably all preying on eachother, forming a full digestive circle.

    IT'S THE CIRCLE OF LIIIIIFE!!!

  • lamprey group orgy ;)

  • what type of an idiot would say they like these things?

  • I love lampreys.

  • let me guess... asian fish market?

  • Fatfayefaye the poster of this video got it wrong! its not a lamprey! this is a Dislike for this video!

  • Just fucking kill em all with fire.

  • @Nichen Great Lakes culture freaking love sausage and other processed meats. If they could only get over their fear of different foods, maybe Americans and Canadians could eat the thing out of overpopulation. Too much time wasted with poison and electric barriers, not enough time grilling and seasoning.

  • @eatamymeata you got a good point there. I could try eating some and definately if I got it for free :)

  • for some reason I wish I could hug one.....well if it weren't for the giant toothed cunt mouth.

  • Those are hagfish, not lampreys.

  • Kill 'Em All

  • I would dumpster dine before I would eat one of these.

  • Great Pike bait

  • I DIDNT SEE A HEAD!

  • Take a s swim.. and you might not even survive it..

  • Lampreys are DELISH! I just tempura battered some up! SLRRPPP!!! (least the ones in Alaska are...:D )

  • Satan's intestines.

  • @ddhlee Excellent!

  • what the fuck are those?! eels? leechs?

  • @joeprice010

They're Lampreys, they stick on fishs' and suck on their blood.

Care to stick your foot in there?

  • @AssaultCrusader Hell naw

  • It's hagfish (Myxini), not lamprey...

  • these look like hagfish

  • is that thing edible

  • Those are NOT eels. they are Hagfishes.

  • they are not lampreys.... they are eels farmed for food

  • @dzhotdog Dude Lampreys are eels.

  • @NateK314 dood, those are Anguilla japonica, farmed for food! not weird limprey.

  • @dzhotdog I believe you, I'm just saying Lamprey are eels. As weird as they are.

  • @NateK314 Lamprey's are not Eels. Lampreys are jawless fishes while Eels are bony fishes.

  • Comment removed

  • @AshesxinxFall It says they are in my Biology book. And when I look it up too, and they may be jawless but they have bone as they are in Phylum Chordata.

  • @NateK314 I don't know why it's repeating my comment but w/e.

  • @NateK314 They both belong to the Phylum Chordata, but they each belong to different Classes. Lampreys belong to the class Agnatha. Where as Eels belong to Osteichthyes.

  • Comment removed

  • Eels are tastier, IMHO.

  • u actually eat those things lol..u asians r so confused

  • moster say rosemary's baby

  • dont eat 'em, you'll be screwed!

  • Why?

  • hagfish can turn water into a thick goo thanks to a special mucus that they secrete. the goo will suffocate you.

  • I've been eating lamprey for decades, It's probably my favourite dish.

  • good for you, however unrelated that may be

  • @supersentiger well this isn't hagfish

  • I can't tell if they are lampreys or not, I'd need to see the mouth. But for those of you who are saying they are definitely hagfish, don't you know they are related and look very much alike?

  • I actually found a dead lamprey in the river. watch my video and see it. they are all my pictures.

  • wow, did you notify national geographic of your incredible scientific finding?

  • Those are hagfish!

  • Hagfish is a large favorite dish of Korean.

  • thats not a lamprey, its a hagfish man!

  • if those are ells should that ... you know sting a lot

  • i don't see any dorsal fin, they are not lampreys...

  • not lampreys. those are hagfish

  • Terrible inhumane humans.

  • i ate those things last night they dont taste bad they r good!

  • I can see the mouth, so I think it's just eel :p

  • thats not lamprey !!!!!

  • go humans, destroying one habitat after another

  • @Kward107 fuck you! Im human.

  • @Kward107 boo hoo

  • @Kward107 Do you know what lamprays do? They are invasive species killing native fish.

  • @Kollindyr they do kill and their are efforts going on to kill and controll the species.

  • @Kward107 yes you are a human too

  • @Kward107

Actually, there's an over population of lamprey.

  • @Kward107 Lamprey are parasites though, so its tit for tat.

  • @Kward107 They're parasites, relax. They actually wipe out fish populations.

  • They have these in the St. Laurence river, they're killing the fish :(

if you ever see these things in Canada (or anywhere else they're not supposed to be) fuckin kill them, cut off their head, burn them, whatever, but they're not supposed to be here

  • lamprey of darkness!

  • WHOA! WHAT IS THAT!

  • thats not lamprey !!!!!

  • Sound like it's in a resturant. Large species of lamprey are commonly eaten.

  • OMFG!!!! HUGE lamprey orgy!!!

  • lololololooll

  • hahaha

  • i had to dissect them for school and i just couldnt eat fish for weeks afterwards.

  • wow do people eat lamprey or something?

  • i think so, but i wouldn't. Those things are so disgusting to just look at..

  • my friend had one stuck to his leg when he went swimming one time.

  • would you?

  • i am an avid fisherman. i personally want to kill every lamprey that ever swam. they decimated lake trout poulations in lake ontario. we stocked the trout back to normal but that took millions of dollars. all because of a bunch of stupid lampreys

  • I dissected a lamprey at school (: my school got them cheaply as they were a part of a program to reduce the number of lampreys in the great lakes. They are the most disgusting animals I have ever seen.

  • yah i agree

  • Aw, i thought they were quite cool! That mouth...wow! They can do so much damage without even a jaw!

The gills were rather interesting to observe as well...I don't know: From a structural standpoint, these little creatures are stunning!

    From a fisherman's standpoint, though....they are a major plague.

I say we try and market them as a food source...like crawfish...People in Europe like them, so why not give it a try?

  • Because that is an excessively idiotic idea. And gunnut6, to decimate means to take away a tenth, buddy. And cry me a river.

  • Yeah, the Lampreys probably killed a tenth of the Trout population.Maybe gunnut6 likes Trout!

  • Of you like Lamprey, check out the Hagfish ;) It's a nicer Lamprey...basically.

  • Lampreys wouldn't even be in those lakes if it weren't for humans,. Just nip it in the bud and kill every human that ever lived.

  • i'd hate divind into the water now...after looking at that ...eww..

  • esos bichos tienen diemtes como monstruos

  • me and my friends allways hunt lampreys, the are like the ugliest thing ever!

  • true dat

  • How do you fish them? I want to kill them. They are hurting the great fish in my lake. Lake Champlain of Vermont and New York

  • okay im not too sure what your getting at but just in case i did not mean anything rude!

  • no its not that i just remember once seeing hundreds of lamprey stuck to the glass of an aqurium.i remember the mouths full of teeth and they seemed to pulsate.eveyone going near the glass looked horrorfide!

  • Pulsating?! As if lamprey fingers wasn't bad enough!

  • what are all those lamprey doing on the bottom of a tank stacked up on one another.wouldnt they normaly be bearing thier horrific mouths to the world through the glass!

  • No, youre thinking of another fish which eats algae. The Sea Lamprey is an invasive carnivore that attatches itself to native species and sucks out blood and other tissue fluids.
