Alas, since some schools are just horrible, it gives rise to parents search for even reasonable solutions. And we're not in Canada. And there are many countries where children don't have access to any education. My point is that even though we are close geographically, culturally, economically there seems to be a heater divide than one would imagine possible.
Putting all this effort on getting kids into some of these ridiculously expensive schools is a joke. So i suppose a kid has to start life by going to Chelsea Day if they plan on attending Harvard..What a pathetic system, perhaps they should start funding public schools a little better. Here in Canada 12 years of school cost nothing but some new clothes and pencils, private schooling is usually only for foreign students, or the odd rich kid with a mental mother. The system here works great.
