In NZ we voted in the '80's to be nuclear free. The USA turned their back on us and its only in the last 10 years that they have started being friendly again, because of their "neither confirm or deny" policy, we refused entry to their warships which is still in effect. God Bless those who died in this horrible mess...the photos are evidence of the entire happening but ave nothing to do with the nuke facility, it was merely a casualty of the same waters that took everyone and everythin with it. The neclear facility did not cause this but was a victim of it. Just because you hate the source of the radiation does not mean it cause this area to be the cause or a partner to the cause. Root cause analysis will prove this to a contributor but not a causal factor!

In NZ we voted in the '80's to be nuclear free. The USA turned their back on us and its only in the last 10 years that they have started being friendly again, because of their "neither confirm or deny" policy, we refused entry to their warships which is still in effect. In my opinion this was the best decision our govt has made in my lifetime. I think more countries need to take this stand.

All other sources of energy are less expensive and have a lesser negative impact on the environment. @speak2tone-The fact that the photographer walked into the exclusion zone to refute certain claims of the government while putting at risk, his own safety, is commendable. What is hard to swallow is the lack of seriousness in the video by how it's put together. It's a powerful story with emotional images. But it's downplayed by the haphazard assembly of the video and the flippant music. Out of respect for the story, the images and the people, less is more.

I know this whole thing is a tragedy, but staring at the body in the mud, I can't help but think that the existence of zombies from this disaster would be classically epic; the loss of infastructure, the radiation, dead bodies reanimating and coming out of the semi-set mud.
