this car doesn't qualify as a "car" in many countries like great britain. in britain, this thing is called a quadracycle and thus does not have to meet any safety standards.
Reva is also planning on selling a version of this thing in europe, but europe will require it to go at least 65km/hr and pass a host of stringent safety measures.
that's according to today's new york times article. oct 27, 2009.
so LOLOLOOLOLLOLLO. good luck in succeeding, reva, tata, etc.all you garbage indian companies
Well, all the big three automakers could not do what a small Indian company did: produce and market an electric car. Instead of calling the Indian companies as garbage, maybe you should take a look at the vast amounts of resources the US is wasting, eh?
haha, you don't know how to debate. that is called a strawman argument. you don't have a real answer, so you try and deflect the attention away to something totally irrelevant. lolololol. moron. YOU LOSE!!!!!!
Well, spend a trillion dollars on importing oil, spoil your own finances and environment as well, and then see who will be the real loser. You are focussing too much on the smaller details instead of viewing the larger picture. It's this very mindset which made sure the really green technology never entered the US roads. The big three are in trouble because they forget the basics and focus too much on the extra features.
lol, have you seen the new Reva NXR or the NXG? Those are the ones that Reva is gonna sell in Europe. Not the g-whiz. They have a better range and is MUCH better than the g-whiz with many features and other things.
Besides, the g-whiz can go at least 65 km/h you piece of shit.
FOX News said congressional Democrats are trying to subsidize this FOREIGN car with MY tax dollars. Looks like I get to pay for this car whether I want it or not.
lol, thats cuz you Fucking Americans are the ones that are Fucking up the environment. That is why the government has to make electric cars compulsory.
FOX news did not say not to buy it. It has a artical and poll asking the question will Americans buy a small electric car made in India. Most of the pollers said no. The car is to small and lacks the range to be practical for most people.
I was quite Impressed traveling with the 3 Revas in India. They could travel on one charge with 3 people 200 km. I do not see it as s good solution for India, that does not have enough power to supply the basic needs. But it could be a good solution for a big European and US cities. But it is still quite expensive and not available in many countries.
Eletric cars could be used for 100 years - i drove 100 year old one and it used to travel up to 80 km, the VW golf and the EV1 10 years ago had better performance than any available EV car today. Why we still can not drive more efficient electric cars ? Because it is not very good for making many. They are more efficient and last longer.
