Yeah dude that's not a 09 R1 it's an 08 R1, if you pause at 0:09 yo can clearly see it's the blue 08 model. Plus anyone can tell you that has an 09 R1 or had ridden one they sound so much more sexier and you max out at 187 mph in 3rd gear with 3 more to pull. Nice upload though.

@samisoddandsdupid This may come as a horrible shock to you dude, but when yr going flat out the speed shown on the clocks of a bike isn't actually the real speed of the bike. You need a satellite data logger to get the real speed. Bike mag did just that. It was 159.3 MPH. Doh!

@michaelxcx All factory bikes since 2001 do have speed limiters that is set at 186 and yes i agree that is horribly stupid. But they do make speedo healers and things that eliminate the limiter. I read this on wiki about the busa along with various other sites just to be sure. As far as your speedo being off that bad idk?? I have a 600rr that i have changed sprockets on and has made mine off but no where near 30-40 im sure.

I LOVE how you claim 187 on the speedo despite the fact that ALL digital gauged sportbikes stop climbing at 186mph... Its required that they have a 186mph top speed so no digital display will show over that... Also as stated the +/- 10% error on the speedo that the actual speed is more like 165-175mph...

All bikes unless you have some sort of speedo healer has a correction factor. Meaning your indicated speed is alot higher than actual speed. Some bikes are as low as 6% and upper end is 11% difference, wach bike brand and model is different
