I'm not an LSU fan, but LSU has been a better football prgram than Texas this decade. Keep in mind, this LSU team was 8-4 and coudln't even score against Bama that year. Also, this was a virtual home game for Texas. You don't want to play LSU when they are good (see CWS and NCAA tournament matchups between the 2 schools)

haha Texas OU and Boise State have been the most dominant football programs the past 13 years haha stfu. LSU and the rest of the SEC get shit on by Texas on the regular! Texas is something like 95 wins and 46 losses against the SEC throughout history and we are like 9-1-1 against Bama and we Arkansas is constantly losing to texas (we're rivals).

IMHO, Roy Williams should have gone pro after this game. The SEC's best corner, Cory Webster, simply could not handle him in this game and that was the difference. To say that 2006 Florida could have beaten 2005 Texas is simply laughable. Two words..Chris Leak. That guy was simply one of the worst QBs to ever win a MNC. Florida's offense paled in comparison to USC's and their defense could not rush VY like they did Smith without getting burned.

like 4 example: When mike vic used to play the defense sometimes used to blitz him so wont scramble, but when they blitz, vic would beat a blitz by passing 2 a reciever on a quick pass 2 beat the blitz, so instead of the defense chasing vic they had 2 stand in zone coverage and wait till he scramble or pass instead of blitzing him.

Yes it would have been a completely different game had Matt Mauck been in there. He wouldn't have thrown all of those interceptions and it would have gone from 14-0 to 21-0 to 28-0 and little Chrissy Sims wouldn't have been able to move the ball at all even with Roy Williams. LSU's D would have found a way to shut Williams down eventually. Then it would have been 38-7
