For me, it was backwards. Lance was easy if you had an ice type that was faster than Dragonite and his dragons. Or just used a legendary.

But against Red, I decided to go No Legendary, and had pokemon 10-20 levels lower than his. That, my friend, is hard.

@mistylear19 Yes,but like you said,you had pokemon wayyyyyy underleved than his.That is the only way he could be hard.Seriously,he has all three starters,they can be tooken out with good Grass/Water/Fire types,Snorlax is easy if you have a strong pokemon,get a good grass type for Lapras,and Pikachu can be owned with any type,but Ice is best If you thought he was hard.

I love this. I remember first seeing lance and hearing this and was just overwhelmed by his epic appearance in-game. He looked like a total badass to me when I was younger xD. I'm 17 now and he still looks a badass. Love Lance. :)

Out of all sheer kindness of luck, my wobbuffet survived a hyper beam and koed the dragonite, but it died due to poison and i had to restart again.

1 they dont have many ideas for a new Generation

The only reason they remade r/b/y was so people could get those kanto pokemon in new generation games because before then it was impossible to get stuff like Squirtle and crap.

what made me disappointed about the elite four in gold is that they are SO EASY. their strongest guy is a level 50 dragonite and the weakest one is a level 40 xatu whereas in RBY the strongest one they had was a level 62 dragonite and the weakest one was a level 54 dewgong. the elite four in RBY was more fun because they proved to be a challenge. I remember losing in my first shot againts agatha in my blue.
