One thing that is funny is that this is the last song of the last Audioslave's album and it's called ''NOTHING LEFT TO SAY BUT GOODBYE'' it was almost a farewell...
I saw an interview with Chris Cornell about this song. He said it was about his past and he was in a rut going through hard times. I mean it's true guy has had a rough past in SoundGarden he divorced his wife,he was heavily addicted to drugs, and he even figured he had no meaning in life. He said this song was like his rise again.
this song in not about a DOG and I think everyone has felt like this at any point in their life , Lyrical Genious way better than then that crap I hear people listening to AKA RAP CRAP because most of it is all prideful and boastful
audioslave definately rocked, one of the most underrated bands of all time, and they were pretty popular. If they had come out during the 80's or around that time, they wold have been monumental, it's just that rap is getting all the air time now
Yeah but Chris Cornell is coming close to releasing his latest album, Scream, which mankind has failed to invent words to describe...Its got like an R&B/techno kind of thing to it but its really great. Lyrics are intelligent as always and each song is very different but the album is continuous each song will flow into the next song. Its good stuff. We will probably being hear more Cornell on the radio than ever before!
Chris Cornell's voice is very unique and Audioslave so special that they are better than the all early combinations of these guys: Rage Against the Machine, Temple of the Dog and Soundgarden. It is too bad that they broke up.

This song leads me to believe that Chris picked up some musical ideas from working with Eleven on Euphoria Morning.

If you want to hear Audioslave at their best, listen to their song Yesterday to Tomorrow. It's one of their unpopular songs, but it's a great song.
