He's a magician and street performer, he's s'posed to do seemingly impossible things like being buried alive for 7 days with almost nothing to eat or drink.
However, I found this "trick" to be rather stupid to begin with and if they take him down then that makes the trick utterly pointless.
He had to be right side up every once in a while for specific reasons. It was impossible for him to do certain things upside down (ex: go to the bathroom) without him getting hurt. The doctors were nervous that his blood would try to flow the wrong way if he stayed like that for too long.
Sorry I didn't do the math myself but... I heard that he was up there for 60 hours- but not straight through. He was actually up there for 62 hours but with his breaks it turned out to be 60 hours.
Hahaha next time he'll be holding his breath for a day.. with small pauses for eating, going to the bathroom, getting physical checkups and.. oh.. breahting!

I saw David's interview on the news yesterday morning. His doctor didn't want him to be upside down for the FULL 60 hours. David Blaine had to be right side up for a few minutes to eat, drink some water, go to the bathroom and such. If he was upside down for the full 60 hours he would have passed out or died.

Who cares it wasn't 60 hours straight. He had to drink and stretch out so he didn't harm himself.
I was disappointed with the end of the show though. The "dive" was terribly slow and not impressive at all.. wow he got pulled into the air by a copter too. Less than exciting for all the build up. The bullet catch was more impressive than the actual dive..

He had to be right side up every once in a while for specific reasons. It was impossible for him to do certain things upside down (ex: go to the bathroom) without him getting hurt. The doctors were nervous that his blood would try to flow the wrong way if he stayed like that for too long.
Sorry I didn't do the math myself but... I heard that he was up there for 60 hours- but not straight through. He was actually up there for 62 hours but with his breaks it turned out to be 60 hours.

I saw David's interview on the news yesterday morning. His doctor didn't want him to be upside down for the FULL 60 hours. David Blaine had to be right side up for a few minutes to eat, drink some water, go to the bathroom and such. If he was upside down for the full 60 hours he would have passed out or died.
