best part for GM V8's is that if you even look to beef up the stock performance you dont have to spend much on "aftermarket-magic" and in this particular car you will have a 500+ hp with a torque bandwidth that is incredible. plus a larger engine in general can handle power better and longer and more liveable than an oversqueezed 4banger that might also put out high hp numbers at some point when you like to rev you engine like up to the moon first before getting any torque.

The camaros are cool but i dont like the fact that it is choped. I am not an extreamly tall guy, but i just cant fit in it. I am 5' 11'' and when i sit in it, my head is pushing on the cealing. Also, the seats are a little uncomfortable for a 200lb guy like me. Just thought I would point that out because the little dude in the video didnt really have a good perspective on it. That was one of the main reasons i didnt get a camero. Still, very cool cars.

The RS package is different lights... gives it a better look... you get the angel eyes headlights and a darker looking tail light package.. RS is looks .. not motor you can get the RS package on the v6 and v8 SS... only car that shows the RS labels are the V6 models because the SS with RS package still sports the SS labels. Sure, the V-8 is the way to go......if you can afford it. You need to consider what insurance costs will do for a fella who is under the age of 30 as well. There is no shame in owning the 302 HP V-6 version.....it's a nice engine borrowed for the Cadillac CTS. GM did a great job with this car and deserves all the praise it will get.

I've been a firebird/camaro fan for a while, for the sole fact that they offer the best performance for the price. But god these new camaros are ugly. They're shaped like small trucks.. And that front end looks more like a rear end. After 100 years of making cars, I'd expect GM to know that a sports car needs a pointy-end and it should face forward. For a true sports car (rather than a brick on wheels with a big engine), corvette is GM's only real offer.

I dont want to get caught up in the hype and pay even msrp for a car that will sell like the others once all the pre order and media blitz is done. May look at a left over Stang GT to steal and drive for a year or two then see where the markets at. I'm in my 30's and saying I can do x speed in x time really isnt a big factor for me. Challenger SRT8 is in the 40's you can get an RT in the 30's. Mustang GT you can get in the low 30's. or pick up a 2009 model (which I think looks better) loaded with everything for 27-30k. V6 Camaro for low 20's and V8 (SS) Camaro for mid to high 30's eventually. Right now they are brand new and dealers are greedy selling them on Ebay for 40-50k.  If you heart is set on a Camaro wait a year when prices are back in line where they should be.
