actually it is the mountain lion that is the largest cat that purrs. The cheetah is smaller than the mountain lion.

Love cheetahs (obviously!), but the biggest purring cat is the cougar. Plenty of vids on YT to show it. =^[.]^=
0:58 it's true about those cats; they have hardened structures on their throats so they make roars or "chuffles" instead of purrs.

cheetahs are the best. Their so cute because they don't roar like all the other cats. Instead, they make a cute squeak noise to communicate with each other.
