  • You are gorgeous. God bless you. Thanks for the tips, they're very encouraging.

  • What do you think of redken products for moisture.

  • Thanks for your video. I am about to try this journey & have no hair skills nor do I know styles to try. YouTube will be my life support. Lol

  • I think it's super cool of you to do this vid. You Rock!

  • I am 47wks post and at first I was only going to stretch my relaxer for a year but now my feelings are begining to change, I feel like natural is calling my name! thanks for all the awesome tips you gave.

  • That was very inspirational thank you & I'm on the journey from relaxed to natural how many years did it take you?

  • I really don't think you need to fire your stylist. Their are alot of hair stylist that deal with natural hair care.

  • Is It Me Or Does She Look Like Letoya Luckett ? o_O

  • @aliah34456 almost, but I've always thought she looks a lot like Ashanti

  • so is your hair softer?

  • I'm sure my wife will look at this!

  • i decided to go natural three weeks ago. it's been three months since my last relaxer. my mom said that the process of transitioning will be hard, but i'm so ready for it.

  • @AwkwardNotes me too...good luck!

  • My mother and I are starting our transition together. We were told to use a product called Carol's Daughter. Is this something you would recommend?

  • Very helpful video. Thank you.

How long does it normally take to transition to natural?

  • i started going natural in middle school so it didnt really bother me to make the transition, so i think people should do that for a lot of their kids so their hair dosnt look so damaged when they get older

  • what I love about your tips is that you stated I dont have to do the big chop which I am sooooo happy about aint nobody got time for all that and I got a big ass head so I do not want to be bald....thank you so much for the tips and the videos

  • @MissNastyKima LMFAO "I Got a Big Ass Head" Girl Your Funny !

  • I have been relaxing my hair since I was 11 years old. I have not relaxed my hair since July. I want to transition my hair to natural and not make the big chop. That terrifies me! I want to thank you for your words. I come from a mixed background and very unsure what my natural hair is like. I was told that the Keratin treatments are good for women who are transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. Do you know if this is true?

  • How long did you transition for ?

  • I'm taking that journey myself and it's hard, my hair feels so hard to manage, do you blow dry your hair and what is your regimen?

  • Great tips. You are right. Relaxed hair restricts your options. Natural hair is so so very freeing. People who are considering going natural: don't be discouraged by people warning you that natural hair is time consuming and difficult to manage. That's not my take on it. Being natural is FUN :-) Great video! :-)

  • yu are soo pretty!

  • I am think about taking the journey, I have been getting relaxers since the age of 12. I would love to get in better touch with the hair God blessed me with, minus the harsh chemicals.

This video was a huge help, you have some get tips!

    Thanks

  • THANK YOU FOR SAYING WE DONT HAVE TO BIG CHOP BECAUSE IT LITERALLY PETRIFIES ME!

  • how long did it take to grow out your BC to that length?

  • you are soooo beautiful!!!

  • Thisis VERY clear and concise. I love all of the tips you've provided. I plan to wear braidouts mostly when I decide to transition or stretch. Thank you!

  • You look like Letoya Luckett

  • Loved the video! Im about to go back natural next week and I'm gonna do the BC!! I've done it before about ten years ago to start my locks and had locks for over 5 years and decided I wanted the Afro, the twists and all that so I combed my locks out and wore natural styles and my hair is wavy and I found that I couldn't deal with the waves so I relaxed it again and I regret it! So I'm starting over again from scratch. You r so right about everything u said, and I love ur hair!!!

  • I agree with everything you said especially firing your stylist. They know once you are natural, you will not need them. I went back to a perm after mine 'helped' me. Now, I will only go if I want something special. Youtubers look at the natural hair tutorals and try the products they use. I had alot of bad hair days but have worked through it. I don't suggest the BC becuz you need enough hair to put up if the style you were trying doesn't work. Send me a msg for product info.

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing. I agree with what has been said in the video, I would just add a good balanced diet and postive attitude is needed for the LHJ and/or HHJ. DPrincess28 your attitude and demeanor is very positive. Your polished, articulate, and your hair is beautiful. As black women the whole package is sometimes hard to obtain. Keep up the great work with your videos.

  • what color are your highlights in the front....ive been dying to get some but i didnt know what color to get. yours looks great ! also did you do it at home or did you get it done at a salon?

  • @DPrincess28 I am currently transitioning to natural hair without the BC, based on this video does this mean that I need to stop blow drying my hair? I deep condition and do hot oil treatments weekly and I want to do a long transition. I can't fathom doing the BC.

  • what do you think about wave nouveau product ?

  • WHAT, sweety I dont know whoypu are, maybe you have a wrong post from someone else"s post .I dont even watch your channel...sorry boo

  • Nuff respect DPrincess, I really hope this spreads like a bad flu. As a man, let me just say that I H.A.T.E!!! weaves and wigs with a passion. Just because you're black doesn't mean I should get shot for just thinking about running my fingers though your hair lol.

My American sistas been taking the easy way out for too long, wigs and weaves are pervasive statements of cultural insecurity and self hate. There's nothing sexier than a brave sista with a baldie or a low cut. Thanks again.

  • @zengaman1 sometimes you just want to change it up and do something different, and when kept up, i really dont see what the difference is.

  • @dmonee05 My statements may have been a bit harsh on the wig/weave wearing community, but sometimes it just looks like they're wearing roadkill up there... either it's unnaturally black & shiny, or looking lika dusty mop.

Don't get me wrong, I am so ok with the need to change things up, but I'm just of the opinion that a weave should integrate... and I should notice her rocking a new style as opposed to 'oh, it's a weave'.

So in the end @dmonee05, maybe I am agreeing with you on "if kept up"

  • what about blow outs? I want to go natural..im just nervous..lol

  • I love my Afro American hair...even tho it's curly lol

  • you dont have to fire your stylist. you can still go get your hair washed and set and if your close to your stylist then they will go with you plan of going natural.

  • This video is very inspiring! Ive been growing my natural hair for a year this month!!! I'm so happy and excited for this transition! You've given amazing tips that I will indeed follow. Thanks so much. (:

  • great tips!! im 2months post relaxer.... oh and idk if its jus me but you remind me of letoya luckett!lol

  • Thank u, this did help me along in my journey :)

  • KEEP YOUR STYLIST YOU WILL NEED HER DURING THIS TRANSITION!!!! I like the info other than the stylist part :)

  • Dear DPrincess 28,

Please contact the National Resource Center for Racial Healing for a radio interview. info@nrchr.org.

    Many thanks,

    Sharon

  • Love your tips!

  • Thank you!! I have been in transition for 11.5 months and will BC in 2 weeks. This was sooo helpful. I have started treating my relaxed hair like it's natural instead of the other way around.

  • How often do you reccommend doing braid outs because I did it like 2 nights in a row and I don't know if I should do it again?

  • One of the most helpful videos I've come across... I'm trying to make the decision to go natural and this video made it a little easier for me. Thank You

  • I'm so glad I watched this video! I have long hair and did not want to get the BC. Thank you for the advice!

  • Wonderful advice. Thank You!

  • haha, my stylist is the one who told me to go natural....

  • I haven't had a relaxer in about 18 months. I live in a part of california where black hair care isn't readily available. For about a week now I have been fighting the temptation to relax my hair and be done with it, My hair is damaged from years of relaxers that were way too strong for my fine hair I can't tell you when the last time I had a trim. Please help! What styles should I wear what styles should I stay away from? I'm almost to the promise land (natural hair) but a sista is getting weak

  • love it

  • thanks girl

  • Very Informative ! I am very excited for this process..8 Months Strong without a Perm #HowYouDoing *wendy voice* lol Thanks Again for the tips !! :)

  • I've been transitioning for almost 8 months now but after seeing these encouraging videos, it makes me want to do the big chop. I kinda want to start from square one to get to know my natural side. Thanks for the tips. They were very helpful.

  • Hi, I've added your video to my "great guru list" if anyone else has a great video they'd like me to check out, let me know!

  • everybody look up redskitchensink!!!! theyre products are the best for natural styling and there customer service is the bomb....i am a living testament i had traction alopecia (bald spots) from wearing weaves and lace fronts and my hair has fully grown back after using their products. :)

  • Thank you so much for sharing this and providing some words of encouragement. I have finally decided to get on the journey and it's been pretty rough, literally. Now I am rocking a full wig in hope that i will soon be ready for the big chop and ready to rock my natural hair.

  • It looks so cute, I have naturally straight hair and I WISH I had your hair. You are so lucky.

  • Is she full black or is she mixed with anything? Cause I doubt a chocolate sista would get curls that loose

  • @littlemekkker why y not....people are forgetting that there are ppl darker than her with natural hair better than hers.....i know what you are trying to say....a girl with naps would not get curls this loose. Cuz im her complexion and let me tell you it is hard to get a comb thru it....lol

  • @rikka1287 yea i hear ya, you're right

  • @littlemekkker Did you know that there are even some Africans who have silky hair? It has nothing to do with the color of their skin.

  • This is one of the very first videos I watched that convinced me to transition to natural. This was very informative especially to those that are foreign to natural hair and are considering making the change. Great suggestions. Thank you and congrats on your feature in Huffington Post :)

  • Thanks I have tried so many times to go natural but this time i am going all the way

  • I really loved thaa tips you gave , cos im goin natural also . . . & you really helped me out alot . Thank You !

  • This video helped me soo much. Im 17 and ive never seen my real hair texturreand I reallly want to go natural and embrace who i was meant to be the way God intended,By my new growth, I was afraid i wouldnt be able to take care of my hair. Bt your right, i need to give it a chance to grow out, to see its pattern. thnks sooo much!

  • @B5Bryanlova13 cool I'm 17 as well. If you want to transition like i did you should check out fusionofcultures and cocoa89(her transitioning vids have tons of styles) good luck

  • my goal is to have my hair like urs!

  • this video is the best, almost six months post relax and going still thanks to these tips

  • I purchased it online from miavocado I love it It helped me so much

  • I really appreciate this Video. I am aware that using the term African American is considered politically correct but I just want to mention that there are many other types of Blacks in America these days. Again thatnk you for your video and your hair looks lovely :)

  • It took me a total of 1year and a half now I feel free and liberated It was very hard for me at first but I use a natural product called miavocado it helped keep my hair from breaking try it you will love it It is a great product

  • @keishaandthetingting where did u purchase it?

  • Ya right!

  • @prettinina21 WOW

  • I can't stand when people who see clearly not full black wana make a video about black hair! LIKE CAN WE A FULL BLACK WOMAN MAKE A VIDEO ON HEALTHY AFRICAN AMERICAN HAIR DEZAM!

  • @prettinina21 wow really ? she is all black retard

  • @prettinina21 ??? What do you think she is??? rofl

  • @prettinina21 you're so ignorant it's disgusting.

  • @prettinina21 How do you know she is mixed? Is it becuase her curls are loose. What is considered "full" black. There is no such thing as full anything because we are all mixed...some just show more than others. What you need to do is find a tutorial with someone whose hair is like yours, not put her down because u cant achieve what she can. Look up SimplyYonique...maybe she has hair like u she, does have hair like me and im DPrincess complexion...think what u say before u say it, and dont hate

  • @rikka1287 LOL i am mixed and i have the thickest, tightest curls out of anyone i know

  • @18jcoker and thats what saying...you are mixed with tight curls...my niece isn't mixed at all maybe down the line like how we all are and her curls are looser than the chick that did this video. But I personally like all curls from tight ones like me and u to big loose ones :)

  • @rikka1287 not all people are mixed... majority of americans are mixed actually roughly 70%-90% but the rest of the world is unknown but I know majority of africans like true full africans have different textured hair from african-americans

  • @shyshy119 I can agree with you to a certain extent. The hair is different because of what history tells us..but ppl do not realize that a lot of africans do have a nice grain of hair..no my hair is not as nappy as their typically is but damn sure aint as loose as hers up top..lmao. But hair is hair..its all different, grows different. The key is finding out what works..because im transitioning and im tryin to keep in my head that all types of hair is beautiful..not just loose curly or straight

  • @rikka1287 shut yo ass upp..lol im full blackk :) not mixed with nadaaa.

  • @Tfly3000 Again what is full black? There is no such thing as full black sweet heart unless you can justify a intelligent response on what is full black. Now if you are saying this sentence that means you are telling me you have traced you blood line down to the beginning...but judging on the way to talk i highly doubt it :). And please learn how to speak before you try to insult me....thanks a bunch

  • @rikka1287 A sub-saharan black african of only black tribal ancestry ....trust me they exist, millions of them and I am one!

  • @maxheedrum100 Thats fine and i can definately agree with you, the key word you used was african. We were speaking in terms of african americans because we typically are mixed up and the majority have not traced their blood back down to tribes, if that is where they originated. So if you are speaking in those terms what is full black? Saying that you are full black is saying that i am purely african (in some terms), nothing else, which in this country is VERY hard to say even for white people.

  • @rikka1287 , I see that comment a lot,...... "Full Black "Biracial" this-n-that. But I think some ppl might classify themselves as Full Black, if their immediate biological mother and immediate biological father are Black. My friend's biological mother is half white/half black and her biological father is black, and she considers herself "mixed race." Maybe it's just about what ppl prefer to recognize themselves as.

  • @Creditgirl2020 And that is a justifiable response....I can't agree with you more....I have a lot of mixed blood in my family as well but i consider myself to be black.....i know people just like you that are not a direct mixture but consider themselves of mixed race. And i can agree it does all boil down to what ppl prefer to recognize themselves as..;.thank you for that response :)

  • @rikka1287 , You're Welcome.....good Video.

  • @prettinina21 Youre fuckin dumb. I wish I could slap your stupid ass in your face.

  • Check out the G angels Grows Hair Super Fast Shampoo, Conditioner or hair serum. These product grows your hair longer and much faster like never before. Cost is $10.00 each shipping is free!

  • @DPrincess28 Thanks for your transitioning tips. I've been on my hair journey since March of this year. I wanted to do it 2 years ago, but I just couldn't give up the creamy crack. I didn't have to do the BC because my hair broke off to about 1" all over and it was dry and terribly damaged. I have about 2 1/2 -3" all over my head (mostly natural) and it's in better shape than it was the whole time I relaxed it. I started relaxing at 15 and I'm 47 now. Transitioning is an experience.

  • Curlformers are awesome for transition. It takes a long time, but if you do it every week spend 2 hours on ur hair, you will have healthy, natural transition style that will make all the hair flat and the same texture no heat. It just takes me an hour to do my whole head and another hour to deep condition, wash, etc.

  • Your hair looks great! What do you use?

  • Great Tutorial.. And I have been natural for a year.. The transition is hard but well worth it!

  • oMg! thanks so much for that! my goal of goin natural was to wear it out for my wedding in apr '11. ive been on this "trip" since dec '09. i actually just bought a perm today cuz im so freakin fed up & at a loss for what to do with my hair. i have a wavy top & spirals in the back. the middle is like a nappy mixture of both. ive never tried a twist out. i will give it a shot before i either return the perm or slap it on. after watching ur vid i will give it another try. thanks for encouraging me!

  • i condition it with ALL NATURAL oils and butters (shea, coconut, cocoa) and doing ALL NATURAL treatments (egg treatment) im hoping to prevent or at least reduce the amount of breakage. my hair stylist was a bit rude to me the last visit, so i have 2 reasons to stop seeing her :] and i agree, its important to get to know your hair. my ultimate goal is to have THICK long long long hair, and relaxing was taking that volume away from me! im so scared, but i think it'll all be worth it.

  • on my scalp - there's NO volume at all, and i guess it wouldnt look so bad on other people but because of the shape of my head/forehead, it looks weird and horrible. i remember hating getting my roots done because of that, and wishing for a little bit of regrowth to add volume. now i dont have to worry about that anymore, its been about 4 months since my last touch up, and the thick beautiful regrowth is coming! i have verry long hair & im just scared that my hair will start to break off. but if

  • ive been relaxing my hair since middle school and now as a 19 year old young woman, ive decided to go natural. after watching many documentaries like "America the Beautiful" and "Good Hair", ive learned the dangers of chemicals that are in our everyday products - including relaxer! so along with switching up my entire body product line to all natural, ive decided to stop relaxing. another reason ive stopped is because whenever i get my roots done, it looks like someone poured a bowl of licorice

  • What products have worked for you so far? I've been using a cream called profectiv and its working for me well. I'm scared that if I go back to relaxing it will break.

  • how long did it take for your natural hair to grow that long? im transitioning with braids... but its been about 6-7 months now. im so tired of them

  • The you for the info. What type of hair do you have? My hair is fine so I don't have the fullness that I am use when I wear weaves or wigs. I'm transitions to natural by wearing wigs. And let me add I only hair thin looking wigs that is like my own hair. That is the only thing I am nerves about going wearing my nutural hair

  • im Puerto Rican and alot of us getperms but im going natrual but im not doing BC

  • that's not natural, that's a jerry curl.

  • My hair could NEVER look this good without a perm! I have the most course hair ever, and even when I have a perm, people ask me if it's "natural", lol. It use to upset me, but whatever. I would love to wear my real hair one day though, esp now that I'm on a journey to lose 300 pounds in front of the World!! Any help, encouragement or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

  • Does your hair grow faster if you cut off the relaxed parts

  • Don't transition! Go for the big chop and don't be scared. Have all the perm cut out and embrace your natural texture right away (it's sooo freeing!) and embrace each length as it grows. If it's too short for you, wear a great wig! Transitioning can damage your natural hair by causing friction at the point where the natural and permed hair meets. Also find a natural hair care stylist to help you learn to care for your hair and keep it growing strong and coming up with new styles. Good Luck!

  • I need some help. I recently cut my hair for a shorter look but it's still relaxed. How do I start now? I last relaxed my hair about a month ago so I'm just starting. What do I do first?

  • @leelow08 Let some more new growth come in. If you can, find a great wig and just let it grow! Then go to a natural hair care stylist and let her cut all the perm out and help you maintain it until you learn your natural hair. I have gone back and forth between natural and permed hair for years and I think cutting all the perm is the best way to go natural. I've tried everything else and that works best for me. Good Luck!

  • this video helped me soooo much, im half African American and half latina and I am trying to go from relaxed to natural hair so my hair is really curly, im getting really impatient lol but this helped alot THANK YOU!

  • Please watch my video and give advice on my situation! THanks!

  • What did you do to your hair to keep it growing throughout your journey?

  • I am petrified literally. I really want to transition but I don't think I will be treated the same

  • @LeiLeiboo10 There are a lot of lessons to be learned when going natural...

  • I love this one-on-one tutorial about hair care!! My story sounds alot like yours. I haven't had a perm since April 2011 and I am confident that I can succeed in being natural. I have the same issue with the baldness in the middle and im ony 23.. What would you suggest?

  • I found this a website when I was looking for pics of fro's and I must say that you are Beautiful and I LOVE your hair I just decided that I'm going to go Natural today yaaahhhh me LOL anyway I really loved your video thanks for putting it up I'm going to check out your page keep doen ya thang girl LOVE!!!

  • I went natural to relax in the past year and i still wear my natural curls now that im relaxed cause i dont use a strong relaxer ! and i believe thats where some women mess up ! i use virgin relaxers so i can have best of both worlds . bt yeaaa i love ur hair

  • I am thinking about my daughter going natural she is 8yrs old, she had that beautiful THICK KINKY CURLY hair when she was little but i didn't know how to handle it so i started texturizing her hair at the age of 6. I cannot find any tutorials regarding natural hair and kids as far as transitioning, is it the same as an adult would she have to do the big chop, what products would i use for her while transitioning and what good hairstyles for her age, i would appreciate any tips, Thank You!!!

  • THANK YOU for this!!!! I am think'n about going natural and had a lot of ques. one which was about the BC which i really don't wanna do!! My last perm was in april of this year and i have been wearing a sew in since then. I am thinking about wearing loose braids while i am transitioning. One question i have is how long does it usually take for the perm to fully be out of your hair and how long is before you start noticing your natural curl pattern, and how often should i cut my ends? THANK U!

  • @jazzari02 relaxers don't come out of your hair at all. you really have to cut all of the relaxed ends off and grow out new hair with your natural curl pattern, hence transitioning. you'll probably want to grow out your natural curls for a few months (most people wait 2-6 months) and then cut off the relaxed ends monthly or bi-monthly throughout the time if you're not ready to big chop.

  • I'm beginning my relaxed to natural hair transition today. I have been relaxing my hair for 29 years and I'm nervous. I know I don't want to relax it anymore because I know is making my hair thin and I'm not happy. I'm hoping someone can tell me that I don't have to cut my hair to go through this transition. I don't have much hair to cut to begin with. Any tips and advice you sisters out there can offer would be greatly appreciated.

  • @xashap2009 I began mine transition monday, and I understand cause Im nervous too. Any tip would be great for me too.

  • Hi I have a Question. I have had weave in my hair for 2months, and i was thinking of going natural, I take them out today, and i was wondering, what are the main steps for me to take to start me off. Thank you for your help

  • I have very similar hair to you can you tell me a great shampoo and conditioner, and hair gloss I can use to help my hair stay beautiful, bouncy and shiny?

  • WOW! This community has really helped me and I realize I have been transitioning for 6 months! I tried it once before and didn't know what I was doing so I re-relaxed it and got extensions and things went downhill from there.

I now feel my curly roots and they are soooo soft and alllll mine. I see the versatility these women get with natural hair and I am looking forward to just being natural from head to toe.

  • @MidnightMika12

    They are not a must.

Use what works for you :)

  • after watching this im really am thinking of going natural

can u plz inbox me some of the products you use ?

  • Thanks for the video. It really helped and was inspiring. I will be posted my 6 month mark in about a week. I see the growth already. Love your hair !

  • Im going natural i have about an inch or 2 relaxer left on my ends. Im debating on cutting the relaxer off. What kind of natural products do you recommend. I am trying to keep a nice curl pattern

  • Thank you...great advice! And very encouraging! Im just starting this journey...

  • Okay i just turned 14 and this year has kind of been the first year i have personally taken care of my hair. I realized i want to go natural because i never really knew that perms had harsh chemicals and my hair would be 10x easier to manage cuz i could were it curly one day the straight the next. i was wondering would my hair come out curly like yours after transitioning and how long does it take for ur hair to go natural. plus my mom would flip if she found out i wanted to go natural.

  • I really love your hair. I want to transition over to natural hair. I havent started yet but in the next six weeks i will not be useing heat to my hair. I need to now if i can start useing the natural products now or i have to wait? Also do you cowash your hair?

  • Hello today I've made the decision to go through the relaxed to natural transition an would greatly appreciate it if you could suggest specific products to use in order to start this journey! Also would a sew in be a good protective style?! Thanks again for inspiring and motiving me to become team natural!!

  • Very nice! I love how you discuss the emotional journey. I am nearly a year into my journey and I remember how hard it was at first to get myself to leave the house with my own natural short hair.

  • I'm just starting on my journey to go natural. A problem I'm having is keeping my ends clipped. Would you say my best bet is to continue getting my ends clipped at the salon?

  • @MinahsAmbitions You can do it yourself

Search for some vids on here

  • Thank you SO much for this video. Im 13 weeks in on my transition and was feeling a bit discouraged. But now I feel much better :) question? how often should you wash /co-wash your hair during the transition?

  • do i have to cut my hair to go natural???

  • @rekita87

You don't have to cut your hair

you can grow your hair out by wearing braids, weaves etc,

  • wonderful video!...great tips!... currently transitioning..did my last relaxer 12./10... its a challenging process so far, but i know its what i want to do so i 'm toughing it out. thanks so much for the tips.

  • wonderful video!...great tips!... currently transitioning..did my last relaxer 12./10... its a challenging process so far, but i know its what i want to do so i 'm toughing it out. thanks so much for the tips.

  • I must say Thank you for this video. I recall making the decision to go natural in April 2009 and later finding this video. This really helped me as I transitioned for 1.5 years and I am now happy with my natual kinky curly hair! :0)

  • I thank you for helping me realize i dont have to do the BIG CHOP because i dont look good with short hair

  • very useful information it helped me in my transitioning...tnx

  • Hi, I'm seriously considering going natural but I am VERY scared to do so. I have what my family calls "nitro negro" hair which is very nappy (or curly) so with that being said, I have had relaxers since I was 5. I was wondering if you could give me some tips. My hair gets very dry even when i moisturize it regularly. Also my hair is about 2 inches shorter in the middle than it is on the sides so would I have to do the big chop? thank you in advance :)

  • Okay I REALLY need help .. I stopped getting relaxers in July of 2010 .. My hair has been damaged and they had to cut a lot of it off (even though i wanted them to , so it didnt really bother me too much) But now im starting to notice that i have more hair growing in the front than i do in the back and on the sides .. Its like I have NO hair in the back .. What do I do???! Please help me b/c im about to micros next month and then kinky twists in September .. PLEASE HELP ME!

  • I was wondering how you get your hair likethat. Do you curl it or is that how it is just naturally after you watch it. I've been wearing box/ micro braids for a couple years now and i wanted to switch it up. I would greatly appreciate it if you responded back thank you so much :)

  • I have decided to stop relaxing my hair almost a year ago, I have noticed my hair is breaking exactly where the natural and relaxed meet. I don't know which products to use on my natural hair or if its time to cut off the relaxed ( i don't want to be looking crazy). I would appreciate some suggestions.

  • okay so i just have ONE question & i reallllyy want to know since im in the process of this transition too.. should i cut my split ends every month or every 2 months to make my hair grow faster? or is that just a myth? please , this is all i need to know to keep this transition working, thanks.

  • @scmexciibooks

I also went from relaxed to natural, but when you cut your hair it doesnt grow faster it seems to grow faster beacuse your hair doesn't brake at the ends that much, so what i did was actually every four months and some times sooner when i saw my ends were very split. So you have to decide for your self when you see your ends are split go and cut it, when it seems to look good, dont put a scissor in it yet!

  • I am considering going all natural at least for a while. Anyone with tips or suggestions please leave a comment on my page, I would greatly appreciate it. I have worn all kinds of styles but I am not very familiar with natural haircare. Please help!
