  • That's lame .. leaving your dog!!!!!

  • OHHH my gosh. This is so UNREALISTIC it's driving me nuts. They should have dropped the nuke on that town.

  • omg skeet ulrich is HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aww...Jack is so sweet...all he cares about is getting everyone else safe ^_^

  • If you want Jericho on another network or made into a film, then please write to: Ms. Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604-2190.

  • 2nd episode, loving it already

  • i finished a book a while back call one second after that talked about emp thats what comes after a nuke. The show depects so far as this is the secound show i have seen but during a emp attack there is no cars no radios nothing that was made with circut tech. but the show does show so far the real truth that we would all be on our own if something like what were to happen.

  • Actually EMP (electro-magnetic pulse for those who don't have a clue) would only damage energized or closed circuits. If you had your radio unplugged it would still work, but since most radio stations would be fried, you would need a shortwave radio (ham) to contact anyone. EMP works on Faraday's Law of Induction. I agree with you that the show really shows how society has to pull together to survive something like that.

  • i missed the original aring of this episode

  • Jericho is the best TV show that has been aired.

    Bring Back Jericho!

  • Jericho season 3 coming to a comic shop near you. The Jericho story continues with Jake and Hawkins in Texas. Jericho movie is still possible. Order season 3 from Devil's Due Publishing now!

  • i like this show

  • thx dude

  • how the hell is mr.turtle

  • i wouldnt trust dem cops they were prisoners on a prison bus

  • ' I feel like a badass. '

    Pfft.

  • Fuck ads!

  • in the cube commercial the chick in the passenger seat is hot and 2 this shows is actually alright

  • that girl in the orange is a bitch, if it was me, i would have let her die of radiation.

  • this is working

  • this is cool

  • this is cool

  • this is cool

  • this is cool

  • I cant help but see this series as a less realistic and less graphic The Day After. Then again if this show were to be realistic it would last 3 episodes and everyone would be dead, so i guess they can get away with the innacuracies and all.

  • "Threads" an 80's BBC show about the lead up to and survival of a nuclear exchange is actually the most realistic. It's posted on youtube in 12 segments.

  • I hate these advertisements.

  • only problem with the radiation is that it goes through the wood and plaster and plastic really well. Even though the basement is made of thick concrete it would still come down through the roof really easily. OH, and it would still leech though to the water supply really easily and after awhile they would still be contaminated.

  • Just remember to duck and cover and you'll be safe like Mr.Turtle.

  • Thats right! I forgot! Duck and cover works so well that you can survive a direct atomic blast with a simple school desk. XD Thanks for setting me straight XD

  • No problem. Don't forget that you can live forever in your bomb shelter too, air is infinite and the food never goes stale.

  • put plants down there. Boil piss and it will turn in to steam and rain. Look up the water cycle. The water you drink could be the water i drank or the water abraham licoln drank. as long as you can plant seeds you are fine.

  • and the water i'm drinking is WAS dinosaur piss :P

  • No I don't think so because the water vanished. Unless it was in the cloads for several years then yes.

  • It depends if your in the fallout zone for the city that got nuked.

  • Fallout contaminated rain that carries radiation that is deadly to humans doesn't play be different rules. That only works IF you are far enough away from ground zero and that is pretty damned far. In this show, they are talking about rain carrying fallout from the nearby city. therefore if it is still deadly for them due to radiation at that distance then plastic wouldn't protect them and water would wash the radiation into the top soil and eventually contaminate the ground water.

  • I know =D. I was talking about wind fallout =D. and if atlanta was to be nuked, I would be safe, because we don't get any rain and wind from atlanta.

  • lol, if Atlanta was nuked I'd be really safe...but if Boston was nuked I'd be dead....mmmyup....XD

  • Yeah, I live in north west georgia.

  • actually, the city isn't nearby, the city was very far away, but they could see the mushroom cloud because mushroom clouds are very very big. in one of the episodes, it shows a map that shows that where they are in kansas, they are safe from the radiation

  • yeahhhh, see, I never said the city was like, right next door, but the city is still, more or less, nearby if the rain took only two or three hours to move in from there. That aside, they were not safe from the radiation because the rain carried fallout which is why they needed into move indoors and to the basements. It's kinda, you know, the point of the plot of this episode? It's also the reason the Hawkins wears a radiation suit to move the bomb...cause they aren't safe from the radiation.

  • yeah, that was my bad, i didn't fully get what you said the first time.

  • lol, no biggie. I like to see a lot of comments on this show. Makes me think they may finally make a made for TV film some day.

  • it is on tv

  • ...yeahhhhh you think? but I DO believe I was talking about a made for TV movie they were planning ever since the show was canceled.

  • They said if theyre making a movie it will be on THE BIG SCREEN not Television

  • Last I heard, that was not the case. i had read some new info saying that another network was considering picking it up for a made for TV movie at a similar budget for the TV series. You know, before the actors are too old, or one of them dies, or nobody gives a crap about the show anymore. All capitol letters, doesn't make you more right, or cooler, or intelligent BTW.

  • Never said it did dumb.... you're not even worth it.

Yes a new network is considering it BUT they are still working on making it a theatre movie, the crew said that they do not want a TV movie and I use capitols for emphasis ever think of that

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA! Not even worth it but you keep opening your shit hole. No, you use all caps to make you sound important. You're a dumbass and you prove it the more you type.

  • Nah your just an angry nerd

  • that...that's the best you got? I'm floored. I actually take that as a compliment.

  • Dan Shotz has stated that if they're going to go out they want to go out as epic as possible, on the big screen

  • yes they were safe, Hawkins was being carefull.

  • Very careful. I like the Hawkins character quite a bit.

  • That shopowner woman was that bitch in donnie darko

  • this is my favorite episode

  • What song is that at 40 minutes!?!?

  • This show is f*cking hardcore!

At 8:36 why is she packing?

  • You don't want your clothes to have nuclear dust all over it! haha

  • Oh my goodness! You are funny :) Haha!

  • But nuclear dust is this fallout's new black didn';t you know that?

  • Well its more of a grey but sure. haha

  • Because she is an idiot.

  • Wow, this show is kick ass.

  • I wanna play Fallout 3 now.

  • I am so with you now....this has me majorly jonsing to go turn on the 360 and kill some raiders.

  • Ya gotta love fallout 3.

  • hehe i have it on 360 too =D

  • The Cop is a CIA agent who was investigating the terrorist groups behind the nuclear attacks

  • Yeah. If I remember correctly he had to infiltrate the group behind the attacks. He was so deeply infiltrated that he ended up with one of the nukes. That's all I will say in case some folks are new to the show. I don't want to give away too much.

  • Lol I would say you just gave away 70% of the show =|

  • The St. Louis cop seems to know a little TOO much about nukes....

  • hmmm....What is he up to? :)

  • I"ve seen all the episodes (first run) and still don't know - LOL

  • he's black ops..reason why he knows so much

  • FBI

  • this is kind of like the show Firefly. It went off air and was extremely loved. I <3 THEM BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So after watching Jericho's pilot episode I can conclude that I loved Lost's pilot more. It really left you wanting to see what happens next, the dialogue was better, and the music was miles ahead of this show's. I'm still gonna continue watching this though...see if it gets better.

  • Once I saw that I can at least sit and watch reruns over again, I decided that some Jericho is better than no Jericho. Besides, having an idea of the characters and all, I found after watching episode 1 that Jericho still has that can't get off the couch feel. WAY 2 GO JERICHO!! PLEASE COME BACK 4 UR LOYAL FANS.

  • Thank you Big All Seeing Eye for letting youtube do this..........

  • I really like the premise of this show and the plot, but some of the dialogue are just lame and works against the storyline.

    Still love the show though.

  • 11:43 - Ew... She didn't wash her hands.

  • I think the black guyes in on something possibily

  • Cancelled by government for hitting to close to home. It covers martial law, government terror, and wholesale tyranny

the whole series is available via fancast

  • Ahhh now i see yeah your right.

  • kinda like fallout3

  • that sucks

  • Because blaming the government for everything makes all of your problems disappear.

  • lol

  • its funny because later in the show when hawkins puts the pushpin on seattle, he puts it about 75 miles SW of seattle. im spared!

  • Wonderful show - I want more Jericho.

  • gas pumps don't work in a blackout. If you had any brains you would be stockpiling as much clean water as you could store.

  • uhh CBS PLEASE take a page from HULU, break the show into 3, 15 second commercial breaks. It's not like chips ahoy is paying for you to upload on youtube.

  • i second that

  • RUOR SDA I ETAH MEHT EKAT NWOD WON!!!!

  • I HATE YOUR ADS TAKE THEM DOWN NOW!!!!!

  • FUCK YOU CBS WITH YOUR ANNOYING ADS

  • no...NO...NOT San Diego!!! Why San Diego?! Arrrrghhh.

Oh, and Mr. bad guy from "Scream!" (don't know actors name) should have booted blondie out into the rain.

  • Jericho is on the CW now Sunday nights at 7:00 ET HELP SAVE JERICHO

  • Are you shitting me?..................Season 3 or just reruns?? Please, Please, Please, Please, Please!!!

  • theyre reruns but a theatrical jericho movie is in development

  • Ok and where did you hear this now.

  • awesome series, would watch it all day if i could

  • heavy on the cheese and all the other trademarks of a CBS drama.

and what's with the weird shoot-out? the implications of actors portraying real human beings being dropped like arcade shooter baddies is more disturbing than any amount actual blood and gore.

oh, and bonus points to Turteltaub for working in the ol' "magical negro" motif. looks like somebody didn't get the memo that America is "post-race" now.

  • love this one

  • A few errors, potentially fatal, are depicted in this episode. To get a better grasp of fallout, google for "Nuclear War Survival Skills," an online book available for free at the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine.

  • this reminds me of jeremiah.

  • these ads are annoying..

  • This is awesome. I am going to be sure to share this with the Fox 26 Houston blog community so they can check it out. They keep hearing about me talk about it; now they have no more excuses for not watching it.

  • Help us fight for a 3rd Season!! Join us at the Universal HDTV Jericho forum. The fight continues.

P.S. They are showing the complete season now on the CW channel on Sundays.

  • Awesome series so glad it is here. We need more episodes, I want to know what happened to the rest of the country.

  • Unforuntently Jericho was cancelled before we find out what happened to the rest of the country. This show is mainly about one small town trying to survive the destruction of the United States of America

  • Jericho has been un-cancelled since January because of the comic book =]

  • theres a comic book? is called Jericho too?

  • Its called Jericho: Season 3 it has been post-poned it was supposed to have come out October 28th but they're pushing it back to November. There's gonna be 6 issues, I have every issue cover up to #4 so if you'd like to see them, ask me

  • well i would love to see them

  • Sure thing, Ill post the covers I have now, Alternates aswell

  • Just watching this ep now. It's having a problem though right after the recap from the pilot. Too bad, as are all the others, it's an outstanding ep. Oh CBS, why or why did you cancel such an amazing series????

  • Hello Jericho fans,

I am not usually a TV person, but I love Jericho. I heard about the 2nd campaign to save Jericho again at the CBS Jericho online forum and we should ALL join this effort. I can't believe I am doing this for a TV show, but it was that good.

    rbt
