  • Abot a month and a half later and I still come back to you~

  • If I remember correctly, this is a Beatles song. The guitar weeps. I love this song.

  • why do people even look at youtube if they can even dislike this....they weird..

  • @TheTont82 I agree, they have no soul

  • I wonder how the muppets became less popular than Sesame Street when I loved the muppets when I was 5 and only watched Sesame street just because my parents turned it on. That and Elmo. My dad owns the VHS to some o the shows.

  • does anyone know who the actual musician behind the puppet is?

  • @MrZarathustra001 Jerry Nelson is the puppeteer who performs Floyd.

  • ahh.. better than George's?? Uh, no.

  • what a voice! The humming by the end is incredibly deep!

  • Where can i get tabs for this?!

  • This is the best version of the song, just brings me to tears every time.

  • This is surprisingly good. Very powerful and full of soul. I knew muppets played some beatles songs but not this good. I wanna tab this haha

  • ILOVE YOU, SONG

  • Amazing cover.

  • WHO DISLIKED THIS?! 25 people people don't have a soul!

  • So you watched every single tv show on today and you thought all of them were crap. Very unlikely.

  • i want this kind of shows! whats on know is s"it. (exept simpsons)

  • Floyd pepper is sweet

  • song by george harrison <3

  • Comment removed

  • damn the Muppet Show had some SERIOUS song clearances!! lol

  • it's really sad that today's kids shows don't have this quality. most of what young kids (5-14) watch today is an insult to their intelligence. shows like the Muppets, Sesame Street, ect were fun and the kids learned something; i know i did.

  • What I always liked is how well they tried to personify the characters.

  • muppets should do master of puppets... ha haa haa

  • floyd is the flea (red hot chili peppers) of the muppets

  • YES. JUST YES.

  • So poignant & resonant. I miss the Muppet Show and this was one of its most amazing moments.

  • I loved this show. When they stopped airing it, my family bought all the DVDs and watch them still

    this song makes me cry...

  • i love floyd (and jerry nelson) so much. just listen to the tenderness in his voice when he's crooning to his guitar at the end. the muppets really knew how to reach the height and breadth of human emotion.

  • The Muppet Show brings up children with good music.

  • saw this when i was about 12 or so. never forgot it...

muppets would sneak stuff in here and there...

  • Muppets got deep.

  • That is so cute ^3^

  • R.I.P George Harrison <3

  • Jim henson must have loved the beatles and he decided to add this song to the muppets, because i think it was a great song.

  • WOW--this is BETTER than any COVER I ever heard LOL>>I never sawthis before!

  • Awesome! A rare occurance where he doesn't play his tradmeark bass! Floyd is the greatest!

  • @noamaigerman Uhm, right, I was actually making Fun of George Harrison, which somehow became Ringo Bashing there both the most easily forgotten Beatles, though Ringo is remember more then gorge which is sad because George had way more Talent

  • I can't believe I'm saying this...but this muppet performance it's actually touching.

  • love it love it love it

  • i wish kids nowadays had this kind of show to watch...

  • @gustavoandrian

The Muppets are on DVD Seasons 1,2,3. I don't know if they are continuing with the other seasons.

  • awsome!

  • I hadn't seen this in years! Thanks so much for posting it!! :-D

  • yeah I think its the best version also....too bad its not the full song

  • Wow, all Muppet guitarists are left-handed. xD

  • @FireRagnarok Of course they are. The right hand of the puppeteer is usually used for the mouth.

  • Floyd is so kick ass, he can play the guitar without moving his hands

  • Floyed is left handed!

  • Would anybody be so kind and tab this song and send it to me !? Or does anybody know where i can find this tab, if it already exist ??? Awsome little song !

  • 25 people's guitars have never wept =/

  • Cannot be beat.

  • This IS a great version.

  • no one is saying that this cover is better than the original, obiously it doesnt, no cover can beat the original because it will still being a cover, but, this cover is really goog and considering that is for kids, its a master piece x) NO ONE CAN BEAT GEORGE, but this is ok

  • Please tell me I'm not the only one who expected Floyd's guitar to actually start weekping. I mean, come on, it's the Muppets. You never know!

24 dislikes? Seriously? I thought it was good.

  • @bigbenkentucky2, totally thought the same thing going into that video. How did a muppet guitar NOT weep in that?

  • Best. Cover. Ever!

  • Apparently there's a version of this done by Floyd on an old Muppet Show album. It's unclear whether or not it's a full version but I would do almost anything to get my hands on that record... *runs to ebay*

  • If I didn't adore Floyd before I certainly do now.

    ...

And there are certain songs I hated before there were Muppet versions. This is one of them. Don't know what it is I didn't like before, really but man do I love this version.

  • Jim Henson was a genius in so many ways it's mindboggling

  • @StativStakitKasket so incredibly so.. waht a heart he had....

  • I would kill to hear a full version of this.

  • wow muppets plus beatles equals pure awsome.

  • Lol just kidding lol

  • All u guys that are saying George George. U know Clapton bascially wrote it don't u

  • @tool02222 fuck clapton

  • @tool02222 Clapton performed the solo. That's it.

  • I love all the beatles but harrison is my favorite

  • trey?!

  • this is so cute

  • cool i liked that show when my parents played it for me on video's they recorded but never saw all the episodes

  • Dare I say Floyd's cover is better than George Harrison's original? You bet your ass I do.

  • @FightLikeACow thank god someone else thinks this! XD

  • Floyd is GAWD

  • what season ?

  • @ig09able

4th, I think. It's from the episode with Lynda Carter. The opening number also happens to be 'With a Little Help from My Friends'.

  • Way better than the Across The Universe version, but the original is perfect

  • floyd plays bass? he makes a mean guitar player like :)

  • love it!

  • great but it more slower than the original version I like this too

  • Excellent!

  • I don't know but this song makes me feel at peace! :]

  • one of my favorite versions of one of my favorite songs

  • Actually, I find this very beautiful.

  • Always been one of my favorites as well.

  • pretty pretty pretty ...........good

  • my favorite Beatles song, good stuff!

  • @nemaru my fav too "The wrong two Beatles died first"

  • @icky42079 no man not cool

  • @XDedgethisoneXD not cool ??

  • @icky42079 so true so true and i agree with domfrenchfry666 if harrison was in any other band he would be more of a legend

  • @icky42079 dumb comment

  • I like it!!!

  • this is sweet, who's the guitarist?

  • @ben909ben floyd

  • @jessevali I'm confused. Jerry Nelson is the real life player of Floyd, is it Jerry Nelson actually playing guitar? I know he sings for Floyd. Also, Floyd is a bass player, but this tune is guitar.

    oh well.

  • While my guitar, gently weeeeEEEEps

  • This is the best version of this song ever. The phrasing of the guitar--the guitar sound itself, Floyd's voice, the nuances he gives the vocals...it all just sounds so raw.

  • que bueno realmente

  • nope they are on their way to the Smithsonian, I believe.

If not then they are touring with ACDC....ACDC is the opening act....so there

    MULF..(Muppets United Liberation Front

  • i just was wondering...what did they do with the mupphets after the show? throw them away?

  • you know how much people would pay for them... these guys are going to be bought-sold-and traded for years to come.

  • @blackjkb Answer 1 save them for the next show or movie

Answer 2 the made a foam and fur Antigua, and they set them on a beach there with some plastic waves, for a little R and R.

  • I play guitar and even i can admit that playing drums is really fucking hard, even compared to guitar.

  • oh now there there baby don't cry old floyd's going to take care of you

  • Comment removed

  • who, George Harrison or Floyd?

  • george harrison, man

  • Floyd sure can play

  • i just came :D

  • I will admit George's version is the best, but this rendition shows the caliber of at least one musician in Doctor Teeth and the Electic Mayhem.

  • I'd agree. They could play a lot of different styles and were very practiced.

  • :01 Lynda Carter

  • its actually at 0:00 O_O

  • I don't like this cover, not going to start something, but I think no could or can beat George Harrisons playing. You can play faster and harder, but he was the best

  • Not to get nerdy, but it was Eric Clapton playing the lead.

  • yes! there never again will be anyone like the beatles

  • Naw Com'mon Ringo Carried the rest of the Beatles... that just common Knowlage

  • R u on glue? What do you call that guy that travels with a band? Oh yeah THE DRUMMER!!!

  • The drummer is the backbone of any band ....

  • Comment removed

  • @SpyderFilmDayv and in the Beatles the best drummer was Paul McCartney as you can hear in The Ballad of John and Yoko....he's like a metronome...nothing that flashy but if you can beat-match it to a dance track he's got to be a drum machine in terms of bar length...

  • @SpyderFilmDayv But Muppets don't have backbones. :(

  • Comment removed

  • @HardRokMiner The drummer is the glue that holds a band together with out the drums you wouldn't be able to keep time and keep the rest of the instruments in sync.

  • Hey @SpyderFilmDayv, It was a friggin joke dude. You don't need to make yourself seem smart by telling me what a drummer does. I know what a frigggin drummer does.

  • @HardRokMiner Sorry Man i just got some really good drummer friends who get shit all the time.

  • @SpyderFilmDayv If they're drummers they should be used to it. I've never known a drummer who couldn't laugh t himself.

  • HArrison-sure he is :D

  • Pretty awesome. I think it's such a good cover from the song. The Muppets and the Beatles in one place <3

  • Hey you didn't sing it all

  • this is my favorite version of this song, second is the love version, which is just the demo with an orchestral arrangment.

  • First heard that in Vegas in the live show of Love. Amazing arrangement, and fantastic sound system. George Martin's rearrangement of "Octopus's Garden" was also very heartistic.

  • LOL! I like the Muppets cover of that song, but nope to me, there is no better version than the one that created it, George Harrison was sadly the overlooked talent within The Beatles composers, I like them all, John and Paul will never be topped as a duo of composers but George was as great musically, had a great sense of humour, very British and will forever be missed. And this song wouldn't be quite the samw without Clapton's imprints either.

  • @Domfrenchfry666

    Well said.

  • @Domfrenchfry666 What about the wonderful acoustic demo?

  • @Domfrenchfry666 hello long lost twin. I agree completely. John got a movie after he died and George got a concert. Not fair but in all i hope they both rest in peace

  • Thank you for sharing. I've recently come to appreciate The Old School Muppets and have been a fan of The Beatles---this to me is like Reeces Pieces..chocolate and peanutbutter. PERFECT MAAN!

  • great guitar sound and playing!

  • the Beatles covered a few muppet tracks... "octopus's garden" & " letter B" ha ha

  • This is so similar to George's demo version.......I love it!

  • If this is the best rendetion you have ever heard, you need to spend the never 45 minuits of your life looking at much better rendetions right here on your very own YouTube!

It was pretty good though, I would have loved to have seen that on seseme street when I was a kid.

  • Its the muppet show, not seseme street

  • This is probly the best rendetion i've ever heard they should have down the whole song

  • he didnt play the good part =(

  • Thanks!

  • Disney needs to put all the Muppets/Beatles song on a dvd to sell.

    The Mupheads?

  • Is there anybody who knows who is the singer of this version of this song?

  • Jerry Nelson, Floyd's performer. 8-)

  • Jerry Nelson was great. All the Muppet performers were. They were more than just puppeteers. They were great actors and singers. I venture to say that they were better than most people who just sing or act.

  • awsome!!

  • while my keytar gently weeps

  • Some of the Muppets were made took like real artist. If you notice in the muppet show, Floyd is wearing a Sgt Pepper lonely heart club band jacket and is full name is Sgt Floyd Pepper and he looks like George Harrison then!

  • Some of the puppets were made to look like a real person, if you look Floyd is wearing a SGT. Pepper coat like the Beatles and he looks like George then. Love the rendtion too!!

  • Great portrayal of emotion for the song. Especially taking the guitar into it's own entity at the end. I love the Muppets for that reason.

  • Makes no sense, Floyd's a Bass player... If you look closely, he's even holding a Bass!

  • oh yeah ...

and the muppets can talk :D ?

    and play bass ...

    yeee

    ur right man :L

  • Actually I think Its funnier now that im older than I did when I was a kid. Its cheesy humor but I think I appreciate it more now. And that other guy cares way too much about the technicalities. Im a guitar player AND a puppet builder, and I can let it slide.

  • george thought of calling it "while my bass gently weeps" but somehow it just didn't make it

  • You're reading into it too much. Its just a fucking puppet!! Its cool.

  • This is v.cool but I think Steve Lukathers performance is still my favorite see vid watch?v=GginWYf22rs

  • RIP George Harrison, both him and Jim would be very proud of you Floyd Pepper.

  • You bet...

  • RIP Jim

  • this version still gives me goosebumps

  • Aw, what a beautiful rendition. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is my favorite cover of this song, and my favorite Beatles cover EVER!!!

  • It sounds like Alice Cooper singing
