I wonder how the muppets became less popular than Sesame Street when I loved the muppets when I was 5 and only watched Sesame street just because my parents turned it on. That and Elmo. My dad owns the VHS to some o the shows.
it's really sad that today's kids shows don't have this quality. most of what young kids (5-14) watch today is an insult to their intelligence. shows like the Muppets, Sesame Street, ect were fun and the kids learned something; i know i did.
i love floyd (and jerry nelson) so much. just listen to the tenderness in his voice when he's crooning to his guitar at the end. the muppets really knew how to reach the height and breadth of human emotion.
@noamaigerman Uhm, right, I was actually making Fun of George Harrison, which somehow became Ringo Bashing there both the most easily forgotten Beatles, though Ringo is remember more then gorge which is sad because George had way more Talent
Would anybody be so kind and tab this song and send it to me !? Or does anybody know where i can find this tab, if it already exist ??? Awsome little song !
no one is saying that this cover is better than the original, obiously it doesnt, no cover can beat the original because it will still being a cover, but, this cover is really goog and considering that is for kids, its a master piece x) NO ONE CAN BEAT GEORGE, but this is ok
Apparently there's a version of this done by Floyd on an old Muppet Show album. It's unclear whether or not it's a full version but I would do almost anything to get my hands on that record... *runs to ebay*
If I didn't adore Floyd before I certainly do now.
...
And there are certain songs I hated before there were Muppet versions. This is one of them. Don't know what it is I didn't like before, really but man do I love this version.
@jessevali I'm confused. Jerry Nelson is the real life player of Floyd, is it Jerry Nelson actually playing guitar? I know he sings for Floyd. Also, Floyd is a bass player, but this tune is guitar.
This is the best version of this song ever. The phrasing of the guitar--the guitar sound itself, Floyd's voice, the nuances he gives the vocals...it all just sounds so raw.
I don't like this cover, not going to start something, but I think no could or can beat George Harrisons playing. You can play faster and harder, but he was the best
@SpyderFilmDayv and in the Beatles the best drummer was Paul McCartney as you can hear in The Ballad of John and Yoko....he's like a metronome...nothing that flashy but if you can beat-match it to a dance track he's got to be a drum machine in terms of bar length...
@HardRokMiner The drummer is the glue that holds a band together with out the drums you wouldn't be able to keep time and keep the rest of the instruments in sync.
Hey @SpyderFilmDayv, It was a friggin joke dude. You don't need to make yourself seem smart by telling me what a drummer does. I know what a frigggin drummer does.
First heard that in Vegas in the live show of Love. Amazing arrangement, and fantastic sound system. George Martin's rearrangement of "Octopus's Garden" was also very heartistic.
LOL! I like the Muppets cover of that song, but nope to me, there is no better version than the one that created it, George Harrison was sadly the overlooked talent within The Beatles composers, I like them all, John and Paul will never be topped as a duo of composers but George was as great musically, had a great sense of humour, very British and will forever be missed. And this song wouldn't be quite the samw without Clapton's imprints either.
@Domfrenchfry666 hello long lost twin. I agree completely. John got a movie after he died and George got a concert. Not fair but in all i hope they both rest in peace
Thank you for sharing. I've recently come to appreciate The Old School Muppets and have been a fan of The Beatles---this to me is like Reeces Pieces..chocolate and peanutbutter. PERFECT MAAN!

Jerry Nelson was great. All the Muppet performers were. They were more than just puppeteers. They were great actors and singers. I venture to say that they were better than most people who just sing or act.
Some of the Muppets were made took like real artist. If you notice in the muppet show, Floyd is wearing a Sgt Pepper lonely heart club band jacket and is full name is Sgt Floyd Pepper and he looks like George Harrison then!
Some of the puppets were made to look like a real person, if you look Floyd is wearing a SGT. Pepper coat like the Beatles and he looks like George then. Love the rendtion too!!
