Porter made a great play on the ball, but Wayne screwed up...Peyton had to get it out fast and Wayne cut his route off, giving Porter the shot...That and Peyton was shoved IN THE BACK to the ground by a Saint's D lineman on the return, clearly a penalty. Probably wouldn't have mattered, Saints were playing lights out in the 2nd half, and Freeney was ineffective on one leg, unlike the 1st half. They would have scored anyway (FG at least).

@murdaville100 Luck is NFL ready so having him sit down for 2-3 years is kinda slowing his progression rather than aiding him. he would be better learning on the fly, just like peyton did. they draft luck, peyton leaves to start at another team be the main man, rather than warming the seat for somebody. And remember, favre retired, came back but pack turned him down and stayed commited to rodgers. thats because they wasnt gonna keep favre anyway, they let him stay cos he was a packers legend.

He's an offensive genius, one ring, so be it, he had a horrible D for the majority of his career, Tom had a great d in his Super Bowl wins, and Vineteri won those. Peyton isn't better than Elway or Montana, be he is better than Favre. Brady has had the best coach his whole career. Peyton is the Larry bird of the rivalry while Brady is the Magic.

Porter made a great play on the ball, but Wayne screwed up...Peyton had to get it out fast and Wayne cut his route off, giving Porter the shot...That and Peyton was shoved IN THE BACK to the ground by a Saint's D lineman on the return, clearly a penalty. Probably wouldn't have mattered, Saints were playing lights out in the 2nd half, and Freeney was ineffective on one leg, unlike the 1st half. They would have scored anyway (FG at least).

@mattwells92 i agree. and people always forget that prior to the interception the saints were.......winning!! they were up by seven and the colts had they scored, would have only tied it. the saints offence was potent also, eveidenced by being up by 7 late in the 4th, so who is to say they couldnt then march down and score again. its not like the colts defense was tough to crack.

It was a gorgeous touchdown, however, Manning doesn't deserve the flak he's getting for the pass.
If Tracy Porter was good enough to see a pattern in the Colt's offense, read it and get an interception/TD from it, then there's nothing Manning could have done to begin with.
