  • Excuse! Is it a part of a film?? If yes its whats that name? Tnx!

  • Gypsy people are Roma. Roma are decendents of Indians from Imdia.

  • Rad Racer FTW

  • I have a Gypsy friend that dances just like that! Bess loves to dance like that! She even told me that she'll teach me how to dance like that! So excited! =D

  • @amanda2109114 where do u guys live?

  • @22LoveAngel Me? Oh live in the USA! Bess lives in Azerbaijan! She's my best friend!!! <3!!! But we're best friends!! Even though we live far away!! She did teach me how to dance! HARD!!!! It was hard!! But it's great!!! She's awesome!!!

  • @amanda2109114 me too !! i live in Los Angeles ca and i also have spanish gypsy in me!! wheres Azerbaijan located at? my name is Leonel , but call me Leo

  • @22LoveAngel Azerbaijan is located at the border between Europe and Asia. Kinda small, but if you look on Google maps you'll find it. =D And great that your a Gypsy!! I love Gypsy people they're so great! Nice meeting you, Leo! =D

  • @amanda2109114 yeah i kinda know how to dance like that!! it si really hard!!

  • @TheJosemares Mucha gente es racista ... Lo odio tanto ... Estoy de acuerdo contigo!

  • ole oleee amaro romipen.. (ese cante que se pega al riñon)

  • I wish people wouldn't comment on Europe if they knew nothing about it. These are Gypsies! They are not Spaniards, they do not represent how Spaniards look and to the person that made the comment, yet many Spaniards actually do have blond hair but usually brown. Gypsies have foreign (Indian) ancestry. Here are some Gypsies from the Czech Republic do you guys really think these people look like regular Czechs? /watch?v=qunwrrrELx4

Please don't comment if you don't know.

  • @KingaMadinga Are you implying that there's something wrong with these gypsies?

  • @Dzongka no I'm not, I like gypsy culture and the people and think they're unfairly stereotyped, but the truth is they're not europeans so why shouldn't I speak out when people are confusing them for an ethnic group they aren't? people misrepresent spaniards so much I'm just speaking out because I've lived there for a good part of my life and I know that they aren't how they're portrayed by people even on here.

  • @KingaMadinga Ah okay, I see.

  • If you have never heard the Gypsy music played by the true gypsies-it is worth the trip to Spain to do only that.

  • i look like these people in facial appearance O.O im mexican tho and lightskinned

  • @pandaland1 Mexicans are an mix of Spanish and native-american people right ?

  • @UnaDrinaNeretva some are

  • @UnaDrinaNeretva Yes. But Mexico has a significant minority that is just white (Spanish mostly, and other ethnic groups)

  • @pandaland1 Then you have blood either from Spain (most likely) and/or another European country. Im a light skinned Puerto Rican with blue eyes and most of my blood traces back to spain, the rest is mostly native american (Taino) and a tiny bit of African. Hispanics are a mix of Native American, European, and African.

  • @JonnyBoy723 i researched and found out that spaniards have arabic blood too

  • @pandaland1 its not that we have Arabic blood, but Spain was ruled by north African Moors and Islamic rulers for about 800 years so they are mixed into some of the people but not by any means all of them.

  • @JonnyBoy723

son gitanos que españa ni pollas, no van a ser morenos si son gitanos pisha,

They are gysys nothing to do with arabic or moors that's why they are that dark

  • @JonnyBoy723

Hispanic means that you come from Hispania, Hispania was the name of Spain when was a Roman region.

  • @Tonyvareta1 Yea you are correct, but "Hispanic" also means you come from a spanish speaking country.

  • @JonnyBoy723

And all of them come from Spain so same thing brother

  • @JonnyBoy723 What the hell.. no, you mean Mestizos.. and not all Mestizos are mixed like that. How can Hispanics be a mix of that if Hispanics are Europeans from Europe, if you mean Latin Americans who speak Spanish.. well they aren't a uniform group! Some Hispanics (Latin American Spanish speakers) are Asian even.

  • @KingaMadinga Sorry but you're misinformed. The word Mestizo means anyone who is mixed with Native American Indian and European. Mulatto means someone of mixed African and European ancestry, and Creole is a mix of all three, European, African, and Native Indian. In modern day society the word "Hispanic" means anyone who is from latin america/spanish speaking country (spain, cuba, chile, peru etc). Look it up. Hispanic isn't just a race, its a mix of races. Certain Asians as well.

  • @JonnyBoy723 No the word creole differs from country to country. In Cuba Criollo is someone who is of European descent for example. Mestizo in Colombia, Venezuela, and Panama actually can mean someone of African, European, and Native ancestry so you're wrong only in Mexico is it used for Native/Euro mixes and someone with the three is called Afro-Mestizo. Modern day society? Umm try American, do you think you Americans are representative of the world? Sorry.

  • @JonnyBoy723 It's not a mixture of races, it's used in the Americas as anyone who comes from a Spanish colony or has been hispanized. There is no one race in Latin America and not all Latin Americans are mixed. There are people who are fully European, fully African, fully Native, fully Asian in Latin America and then there are the mixed populations. It's not "a mixture of races".. the way you're using it seems like you mean everyone is a mixture of some race which is not true.

  • @KingaMadinga like me, lol I'm a Chicano (Mex-Amer. my nationality) and I'm what they used to call back in the day a Castizo, a person of predominant European ancestry (Spanish/Italian/Irish in my case) with some Native (Yaqui/Apache not Aztec/or Mayan in my case). I love my peoples and embrace both sides, but I god uncles and aunts in Spain and many who keep the Europid look (white skin/blondy type hair) etc.

  • @TheInsidiousParadigm So which ones morals and priniples did you end up living by the most in your life, your white side the spanish italian and irish or the mexican or mixedman's side, their both interesting.

  • @pandaland1 What, did u think spanish were blonde haired and blue eyed, lol whatd u expect em to be?

  • @fullmetal891 um no, actually lightskinned and black hair

  • @pandaland1 Look at spain on the map, its right above Africa, so it only makes sense that theyd be darker than normal white people. Also there is a alot of arab blood mixed in with spaniards which makes their skin even darker

  • @fullmetal891 im a light skinned but dark highlights, not brown brown

  • @fullmetal891 who are "normal" white people? I'm from the carpathians in eastern europe and the average person is the same pigment as people from barcelona.. so please explain to me are we in the carpathians mixed with africans too? the truth is "Caucasians" are originally dark haired people.. the ones with lighter hair came from mixing with nethanderal people. The dark hair has nothing to do with Africans and genetic tests have proved that Spaniards are as European as other Western Europeans.

  • @fullmetal891 If you think British people are the best example of "white" than you need a reality check, most of them have different skin tone than other Europeans anyways.. a more pink skin tone and on average they can't tan like "real" white people. Oh and most Spaniards don't have dark skin, on average they don't have different skintone than people from central and eastern europe, they're just exposed to the Mediterranean climate so they tan all year around.

  • Beautiful dance and music ever I heard......

  • When i was younger and growing up in Bermuda, our Spanish and Portugese would sometimes all get together and have these types of impromtu type gatherings ..It was Great!.. Societies just too much hurry up these days ...a shame really...

    Safe

  • esa es la plaza alta que yo conoci en badajoz, ahora esta muy modernizada con terrazas y bares..gran video

  • Oh what a song so beautiful , im in love with spanish songs i even learned how to speak the language i wish i was gitana como ellos greetings from albania.

  • I've noticed that its pretty much traditional in all gypsy cultures around the world that the men sing and play instruments and the women dance (you hardly ever see the men dancing nor do you really see the women playing instruments)....thats interesting

  • @ZaydelZemirah It's actually pretty common that women sing as well as dance and a lot of men dance flamenco. I say flamenco because I am more familiar with it.

  • @piperfire2000 oh okay, thanks for correcting me on that, I guess I'm not watching the videos lolz

  • @XxRomanov93xX many children spanish sing very well FLAMENCO, this boy sings very well. this boy is called Jonathan sanchez. it´s very famous in south spain because in south spain all boys sings very well FLAMENCO.

    greetings from south spain ^^.

  • I don't speek spanish, but I think this guys sing in a bad spanish. I mean it doesn't sound like real spanish. Can someone confirm that?

  • @swisskim Its not a "bad spanish", its how this music in sung in Spain amongst the rich culture of peoples. As previously said through the pages of comments, the gypsies also called gitanos, immigrated from india and intermingled with the other cultures in Spain, whether its Cast, Catalan, or Basque or Galician. This is Spanish culture at its most beautiful, and im proud to have it flow through my veins from my father's side. Its just a different way we annunciate the words through song.

  • @swisskim

In fact, this way of singing is called "la solea" because the gypsies can't say the "d" at the end of "soledad"

    Sorry i'm french :P

  • alguien sabe donde cojones es esto??

There is only once race of people the human race.

I love this music and people.

We are all the same, some try to control and plan life others embrace it and just live it.

Life, death, all begin and end in a breath.

It is all too short to argue about such nonsense.

Fall into a women's eyes and life will find you and maybe you will learn a new song and dance...Tomas

  • beautifull, you can see the bharat natyam influence on the dance and the singing techniques from rajasthan india clearly.

  • i love this culture

  • Makes me miss my Sevillana mother :(

  • my culture. =)

  • one of the most beautiful things i've seen in my life. Long live los gitanos!

  • I learned in a documentary that gypsies or Roms originated in India and they arrived in Spain way before the Moors or Arabs. The Roms (gypsies) are one of the oldest ethnic groups in Europe. They have been persecuted and marginalized throughout the world. Even the Nazis tried to decimate them. Gypsies have a rich musical heritage which differs depending on which part of Europe they come from and have entertained us through time. Que Dios bendiga y cuide a los gitanos.

  • @judy8645 yes gypsies are indian. the are between india an pakistan. they com from there. I love gipsy's. Me gusta la musica .typ in youtube: Historia del Pueblo Gitano

  • vive les gitans !!!

  • This is wondeful, isn't it?

I'm sorry if I offended people by calling it 'Spanish' instead of Andalusian, but we foreignors can only observe and appreciate. It's exciting, powerful and deeply sensual.

  • @JuneJune1950 you are a bit stupid, this is SPANISH MUSIC ALLLLLL THE FUCKING WAY! WHY? BECAUSE IT COMES FROM SPAIN! ANDALUSIA IS A REGION IN SPAIN.

  • @murggik que sabras tu de cultura,ni siquieras sabes la tuya, que tiene que ver el video con musica arabe!lmira libros de españa a partir de que los arabes llegaron,y cuando se fueron!

  • Spanish Gypsies are not descended from Indian or Hungarian Gypsies, Indian Gypsies migrated to North of India called Roma, there's a pure distinction between the Spanish Gypsies and other types of Gypsies, they all just lead the same type of lifestyle thats why they all fall under the same category Gypsies, Gitano means Egipciano Egiptano Egyptian, Spanish Gypsies been in Spain for thousands of years it's nothing new. Hungarian gypsies are the thieves.

  • @GundisalusMenendiz this not right what do you mean not 100%

Had a jacket that look like that once.

  • hitano the spanish gipsy

    super :-)

  • @murggik - Not all spainards are gypsy or disendents of moors. Most Spainards are white skin, many have blue and green eyes. If u go to northern Spain where the moors never conqured, it is still all white.

  • Comment removed

  • Love it, this is what it all about.

I would love to live here rarther than in England stressted to fook trying to run a company getting nailed by the govenment....

Easy life dancing and drinking, i am sure we in england have gone wrong.....

  • @whis102 thank you for the idealism, but we also work hard and have companies here, you know, we're not always making siesta and fiesta and we're not an underveloped country (nor your vacational resort)

  • is this clip from a movie or something

  • @efilruoy

I think its from a documentary called Safe Journey (the vagabond journey of Gypsy)

  • @francoferret The name of the film is Latcho Drom (=Safe Journey)

  • How beautiful the human race can be :). I love it with all its diversity.

  • Nice

  • @mostafamahdyfirst thekingofmoney2000 is correct the Gitanos of Espana originate from northern India. However, the flamenco dance does have some influences from Arab culture due to the invasion of the Moors. It is a beautiful mix of Indian, Gitano, Arab, and Spanish music and culture :)

  • It is arabic , its very clear for those who live in arabia

  • @mostafamahdyfirst it is not "arabic" it's spanish gypsy music...the gypsies came from northern india...flamenco has more in common with the music of northern indian than arabic music...

  • @thekingofmoney2000 Not all correct. There is more than India that incorporates this music.

  • @thekingofmoney2000 yeah but spanish gypsies are incredibly unique among other european gypsies.

u can't deny the fact that they cross bred with arabs and iberians and were heavily influenced by the andalus moors who were very liberal compared to the rest of the muslim world.

  • @thekingofmoney2000 THANKYOU! People have no understanding of the Roma peoples and the culture that they have spread throughout the world. So many people assume that flamenco is a music of the Spanish people. No. It goes back farther then that.

  • @bombin91 it's actually unclear.

some historians speculate that the style of dancing is more telling of iranian influence than indian.

cultures jump back and forth due to conquest, defeat, and reconquest.

the khatak style of dance from northern india is very different from the other parts of india and was probably influenced from past persian conquests into india

  • @baezalejandro

i would add the uyghur dance to this list, it reminds me very much of flamenco. though the uyghurs are a turc folk. whatch this:

    watch?v=Gm8khGJH2EY

  • @bombin91

    watch?v=PQzzQSMhSMo&feature=related (kathak indian)

    watch?v=prQOdTmF8u0&feature=related (Bharatnatyam Indian)

    watch?v=1vi5fa2ZLwo (persian)

  • @thekingofmoney2000 y flamenca mora???

  • @thekingofmoney2000 ya des gitans qui vienne aussi des pays oriental et souvent leurs ancetres sont pieds noirs, " GITAN" ça veut dire "voyageur" et pour cette musique ya rien d'indiens !!

  • @thekingofmoney2000 There is some influence with Indian music. But there is only one major aspect of flamenco music that comes from Indian gypsy music which is the rhythm of Bulerias. Correct me if Im wrong, but your probably not that familiar with Spain's History let alone the history of the Middle east. I you were you would probably would take into account that Spain was ruled by Arab/Muslims for about 8 centuries (770's until 1492). This is why flamenco has heavy roots in Arabic music.

  • @MrGWalt LOL I'm Spanish...I know about the Muslim control of most of Spain. It's just that flamenco has a lot of influences not just arab influences. Most Spanish people are tired of hearing over and over about "arab influences" those influences are mainly in Andalusia, not all of Spain, and flamenco is not like Arab music, especially not in the dancing.

  • @thekingofmoney2000 touche on that! Well its good music no matter what its origins are. I guess my perspective comes from playing both arabic music and flamenco and I can see where both traditions overlap quite a bit in many respects-more so than Karnatak music I would argue, but that's just my opinion. I definitely agree that its not the only influence and definitely recognize that its mostly southern Spain that has its Arab/Moorish roots. Have you heard Juan Martin's musica alhambra? good shit

  • @thekingofmoney2000 some northern indians speak Arabic.

  • @thekingofmoney2000 actually, it's a mix of everything, since the flamenco music was born in Andalucía. That region received jewish and arabic influences for centuries (the arabic invasion endured something like 900 years). It's jewish, arabic, indian, spanish...lots of things. That movie Flamenco, from Carlos Saura, explains most of it :)

  • @thekingofmoney2000 Flamenco is Andalusian, isn´t Gypsy... Flamenco is more Northafrican (Arab) than Gypsy...The best singers, dancers, and guitar players aren´t gypsy, are "payos" Whites. (Jose Mercé, Sara Baras, Paco de Lucia, etc...). Listen to the Gypsies in Romania, etc. it sure does not sound similar. I am Andalusian (Granada) and know it is so.

  • Magnificent! I'm totally in love with their preservation of culture, the dance, the singing...everything we are able to view in just these videos.

  • Can somebody tell me how this song is called?

    write me a message, pls

    i need it fast!!!!!!!!!!!

    its for school

    really great song

  • i dont know what they were singing about , but it was amazingly beautiful.

  • I can notice a great influence of this in Salsa.

  • Great miracle! Certainly, the flamenco is a display of creativity of the ingenious Gipsy people!

  • so?? nobody said it isnt a latin language...but it has a greater influence from arab in names and foods and tools and stuff I bet you dont now...it's origin latin doesnt deny an arab influece which exists...dont try to explain the place where I live...I am dark skin, hair and eyes and my three brothers are blond with blue and green eyes....so I dont now what you mean for classic Latin and Iberian Celt...we are more mixed than you think...it's like if I say I am Tarthessian...hahahah

  • The gipsys/gitanos don´t have invented the flamenco!

  • I am proud to be a Gypsy ole Hopa my blood my culture :))

  • Ole hopa I am proud to be Gypsy my culture my blood

  • My blood My Culture I proud to be gypsy ale hopa :))

  • Esta es la 10ma vez que veo este video.

    BUENISIMO.

    OLE!

  • el sangre lo llevamo flamenco ser gitano!

  • Great video! Me alegro ver este video!!!!

  • i wish there was a love button.

  • @lillyloopin15 hehe! I had to think about that one for a bit! lol!

  • @lillyloopin15 wow me too!!!!

  • Todos los gitanos son un exemplo de cultura a todos nossotros

  • I was born in Mexico in the the coast of Veracruz but i still love Flamenco

  • @ILustForMystery Hispanic also includes Spain. (Go to the Hispanic Museum & you will see art from Spain & many other Spanish-speaking countries.) When I filled out my census form, I was confused by their use of the term "Hispanic", whether it was the popularly construed definition or the actual definition (my parents were from Spain). I was instructed to fill out the Hispanic designation.

  • @thekingofmoney flamenco has a lot of gipsy influences? the gipsys/gitanos invented it!!!

  • the undeniable beauty and resilience of culture is magnificent to observe.

  • @dunnsky agreed

  • it looks like its been influenced by india minorily

  • Flamenco is flamenco, the roots of flamenco are from all over the world. influenced through many cultures, in and out, and back in, like sex.

  • gypsy song nice!

  • Que habrá sido de él...

  • Que chaval maravilloso!

  • me hace llorar...qué arte !

  • cool
