Well, your wish came true. Because it already happened back in 1994, when Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth by Coktel Vision was released - unofficialy Goblins 4...

Woodruff is not Goblins 4. It plays very differently and is much more character oriented. It's also in a completely different universe that's more futuristic with a different past from what I can tell. The Boozooks aren't even in the Goblins games.

You are only saying it's Goblins 4 because all of the characters in both games are designed by Pierre Gilhodes.
