@2021kitty depends on the fish. some fish may be super small but can lay eggs but usaully a fish like a molly(grow up to 2-3 inches) already breed when like 1 inch usaully the fish you buy are adults

I have the strangest thing going on in my tank. We have four clowns two orange and two black. One of my clowns has seemingly gone missing in my tank...I am wondering if it has been eaten!

I've been wondering if some eggs have been laid somewhere under the soft and it's on guard. However, we have searched the tank and can't find the clown!

(Excuse my spelling) We have a anenomi, brittle star, and sea urchante. Do you think any of these could have eaten the fish?

Its possible that it got killed by another clown (different species of clowns can be aggressive towards eachother), and it may be laying dead under the rocks somewhere. Or, it could be on gaurd (as you said), for its babies. Was it a female?

I read that big bristle worms can hitch hike into saltwater aquariums. They can fit into tight places in the rocks, and only come out in the dark to feed. They are predators of fish. Turn out the lights, and use a red lens flash light to see if you have one lurking about. The only way to get it out is by buying a trap at the pet shop. Some people will put the small version of the bristle worm into thier tank to move the sand around, and feed on debrie.

your lucky you have salt water fish....i only have fresh water fish...ummmm.........they're tropical!!!!

u should watch my vid about my yellow angel fish eggs but they ate them all in only like..uhh....i dunno.....1 night i guess......... o_o

This happens to me too! I have two clownfish in my saltwater tank. Every couple days they will lay yellow eggs; they have two favorite places for them. The eggs turn almost dark green and then dark grey and I can see what looks like eyes... but eventually they eat them! Oddly enough they never did this until we got them an anemone.

water conditions are different, salt vs. fresh water
