what happend to Wanderlei is that he moved to usa and moved his whole family here, and before that he was more or less fighting to stay alive to put food on the table.
He has the good a life now, and hes gotten very comfortable with it, I think hes gone soft from the luxury.
Only he would never do that while Rashad is the champion, because he says the belt will belong to his friend Lyoto (who is indeed probably the best LHW at the moment).
You're not doing a review for the K1 dynamite event with Overeem, Hari, Aoki, Alvarez, Cro-Cop, Hunt, Manhoef...?
I wouldn't mind seeing A. Silva fight Mousasi or Jacare (if they ever come to the UFC) as one of those 5. And a rematch with Henderson would be interesting. Any of those make more sense to me than Liddell, whom Silva would probably destroy. If he were to fight anyone else in the LHW division, let it be Rashad!
A match between A. Silva/M. Bisping doesn't sound so bad, but with only 5-4 fights left on his contract (4 if the rumors of the Thales Leites fight are true), I would like to see him fight two more times at M.W (Okami/Maia) and the last two at LHW (Rampage and whoever holds the belt by the time he gets there. That's of course if he succeeds in the previous fights.
Great Revieew man keep up the good work. i agree with the Nogueria fight, stopped too early. Mir's stand up looks good and i think it is better than Lesnar's. Rampages extra shots were a little unecessary but if it was someone else who gave the extra shots he would be booted by Dana for sure.
Man dont worry bout these people tryin to insult you on your opinion, they have nothing better to do, you have said stuff in the past i disagree with, but goin as far as insulting you for it, i wouldnt i guess im just different
Yeah man. lol. It's all good. Thanks though. I know if I don't like something, I don't go back. Dudes like Keg posted yesterday, and then came back today. I see something I don't like 1 time.
And yeah, you'd think these dudes were Forrest blood. And I said Forrest was a b*tch ass or something.
But yeah, it doesn't matter. I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing on here.
And lastly, for the record, Forrest does NOT have Sherk/GSP/Franklin cardio.
Agreed. Forrest has good cardio, but I was not that impressed. The problem is that a lot of those guys just buy into Dana's UFC hypes without giving a second critical look at it. All that takes is Mr. Joe Rogan saying "the beeeeeeeeeeest cardio EVER, EVEEEER". And BAM, a lot of people keep repeating that as the ultimate truth.
Sherk's positive test was pretty controversial. They asked for a second test of the urine at an olympic lab (the first test wasn't at a lab specializing in athletic doping) and the sample "dissapeared. I'd say he's far from a clown and disgrace to mma. The thing we don't need is more tough guys that talk shit on the internet, like war machine and terribleone718.
its called freedom of speech and i stated my opinion, you dont like it ? tough, dont read my comment. last thing i need is someone like you telling me i cant state my opinion on the internet of all places. you disagree with me ? fine, you think im a shit talking tough guy? fine, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it and you have every right to say that to me. this is why i love the U.S of A..apparently you'd be better off somewhere where censorship rules supreme.
I think its funny how some of these guys that made comments take it so personal on what you feel about Forrest's cardio. If you dont like what he is saying then dont watch his vids. Some of you guys act like you are Forrest's friends or fam taken shit personal. Its rather pathetic and some of u f*cks need to get a life. Homeboy here has a right to his opinion.
son of a bitch, no wonder forrest got a title shot hes probably got the biggest nuts in mma, with all these guys hugging them they have got to be huge. aside from that I dont think forrest is even a top 10 lhw, 1-shogun 2-machida 3-rampage 4-rashad 5-thiago 6-wandy 7-hendo 8-franklin 9-jardine 10-liddell 11-irvine 12-vera 13-cane 14-forrest genetically hes probably as gifted as t.silvia
The funny thing is, I can garauntee none of these dudes watched the video or even the section in question. There is a vid and someone saying I said Forrest has terrible cardio. Which is not the case.
Anyway, I find the whole thing funny and quite entertaining.
Ok. Now I figured it out. Someone posted this video on Sherdog with the title, "Forrest Griffin and His Terrible Cardio." Then basically asked "Does Forrest have cardio ? Or is it a weakness ?"
And a buncha Sherdoggers got mad and posted over 1oo responses and some spilled into here.
When did "Forrest Gang" ride in? Wow. It's safe to say we disagree? Okay. Sounds good. I am not saying he has Lutter Cardio, just not Sherk cardio. But regardless.
Humantarget: The last thing I am is on Rashad's nuts. I picked him to lose to Chuck.
xThawkbmx: This was a review. It's very much different from a "predictions" vid where I do give more then opinion. This vid however is actually opinion. What I thought of the fight.
provided your fat ass doesnt have a heart attack first.... he DOES have sherk cardio... he has the best cardio of anyone in MMA.and yes i saw your fat ass on sherdog... u have not a fucking clue about MMA..
Nobody cares what a fat guy thinks on the Internet... By the way, LMAO at the people giving this video five stars just because he is black. If that was a white fat guy, everyone would be insulting him and giving him 1/5 stars.
You don't know what you're talking about. Even Rashad gave Forrest credit for taking him out of his stand-up. What you're calling Forrest's deficiency in cardio, I would judge differently. His striking can be inconsistent (both kicks & punches) as he sometimes throws in a loopy or gangly way. Also, Forrest has shown a pattern that when he gets rocked (particularly on the ground) he losses his poise and can flail his limbs. Not sure if one can train that habit out. Train-knowledge-then comment.
I guess forrest had no cardio when he went the distance with Rampage, or both the fights with Bonnar, or when he tired out Shogun and managed to get the sub. His cardio and heart have always been his biggest strength.
To the guy a few comments down that still thinks Rashad is boring you need to shut up and actually watch his fights. Anytime a guy has the ability to end a fight the way he did against liddell and salmon the anticipation of a highlight reel knockout is enough to be exciting.
FORREST HAS NO CARDIO? Are you shitting ME? Thats forrests main strength is being able to go the distance and tire people out. Holy shit stop smoking crack...
this whole analysis is utter garbage...i don't know how Forrest trains, so may be over training is a factor in his cardio, but from what i saw that night it wasn't his cardio, that did him in. he got sloppy with his kicks and didn't cover up when his leg got caught. as for the rest of this so called "analysis" it seems to be just your shitty opinion. Nog stoppage was a great one, as Mir was passed his guard landing punches
I saw your video on Sherdog. I haven't watched all of it yet but I will. Anyway, I just wanted to comment on your shirt. Killer dude! I have the exact same shirt! Are you sure you're black? Just kidding man. Do you have any predictions for The Office next season? I have a feeling Pam is going to cheat on Jim. What do you think?
I lost all respect for you and self proclaimed label as the "mma analyst" when you said "rashad's boxing was on point" followed by "he lost both the first rounds" and "forrest has no cardio".
Your a joke. Go work out and practice some mma before you analyze it.
I agree, honestly, what else does forest have, his cardio is his biggest weapon. He keeps guys busy and outworks them. I advise the "analyst" to join an mma gym, step in the cage or a ring a few times and it will open your eyes a huge amount. You'll understand so much more about mma, especially stoppages, cardio, chin, and other things we can't see from behind our keyboards. Other than that, you have some pretty good knowledge overall.
Not to mention that Dana White (who is a nightmare for MMA, in my opinion) insisted on a contract where Fedor would have to lose at least once before he could be released from his contract. Fedor could never retire as UFC Champion... that was to be part of the contract.
Who in his right mind would sign such a thing? Dana White is a crook.
Pride fighters are nothing but a joke in the UFC, E.G shogun, wandi, crocop, verdum, nog, etc. They all suck, send them clowns back to japan to fight them low end japanese fighter. Why do you think Fedor is so afraid to enter the ufc? cause he knows he will get his ass kicked just like those other pridefc clowns!! lol
He refuses to come to the UFC because he is making 3 times what Dana would pay him, is completely free do what he likes and is fighting the best in the world with out even signing. Tim, Nog, Cro Cop, Arlovski, Barnett and more.
The rest is really just as ridiculous as that point but I can't get into it. If you don't know, you just don't know.
hehe! for a mma analyst u dnn\t know jack, everything u said 9 months ago is completely wrong, let me say this, fedor is still a pussy, scared to face top fighters in the ufc, nog is washed up, cropcop is now a joke, tim who? arlovski lost to a nobody name brett something, and barnett is a jucie monkey, that is ur top competitiion????
Man your Wanderlei impression was one of the funniest things I have EVER seen..Had me in fits of laughter. Really happy that Rampage got his revenge but the Nog fight was very disapointing.
Yeah it's even painful to me to bring it up...Sorry about that mate, I just moved house so I didn't get to watch the fights or leave comments until 2009 :(
Just out of curiosity..Am I the only one who does videos who is absolutely baffled by some of the ridiculous comments that people leave..E.g dollarbillz two comments below me..
As for the comments? No. I am surprised these boards have been as positive as they have been. There are a lot of fools out there. I'm glad for the most part they haven't come in here.
I have to disagree. I still havent seen the replay, but my impression is that Nogueira was really out this time. His eyes were lost and he seemed worst than his previous fights.. Its FCKING SAD! But true.. Hope we got to see the old Nog again.
Still can't believe Big Nog lost. WTF? Even Fedor couldn't knock him out? Mir looked great! 0vernite striker, I dunno what happened with Mir. I knew Forrest was gonna lose! And happy to see it happen! Also knew Wandy was loosing! Happy bout that aswell! Not sure if I'll get over the Nog loss. lol. Maybe someday, maybe not! Hope Lesnar kills Mir in the rematch! Great card and dreat vid once again! cheers y'all!
The thought that UFC referees might have a company agenda when calling fights never crossed my mind till this year, too many fights are getting stopped for nothing.
I think the couture stoppage went too long and although the big nog stoppage was a bit quick, he was out, look at him stumble and how disoriented he was upon standing up, he couldn't stand unassisted for awhile. Wandy, and Big Nog are two of my five fav fighters but the battles have taken a toll, Mir was the better man that night. From a fighter safety standpoint the ref can't say well this guy can take a beating, give him 30 more unanswered blows to recover, he'll make it..lol
You are missing the point. Wobbly doesnt mean you are out. Fedor got wobbled by Fujita, Im pretty sure if the ref interfered right after that punch, Fedor would still have a difficult time standing straight. Check out Anderson Silva vs Rich Franklin II. In the end of round 1 Rich cant even get up. Rogan even said that he was already out. But alas, they still let them continue to round 2.I can give a lot more examples. They should have let Nog stayed a little longer.
I think your leaving out a few things. Fedor was wobbled with ONE punch, still pushed foward and submitted him. Nog was dropped several different times from punches earlier in the fight, then he was dropped again, and didn't answer to the punches. He didn't push forward, he didn't do anything, He was unable to stand without help afterwards, not just wobbly, he was unable to stand unassisted. I can see it go a little bit longer, another few punches but there have been worse calls by far.
We all know that Nog is a tough guy, but the difference between his previous UFC fights and this one is that he got knocked down once each time, and the opponent let him up. When a guy gets knocked down three times and he's not doing anything to defend the punches its time to call it.
Everyone I talk to thinks Nog was out or it was a good stoppage, kind of relieved someone agrees with me. As for Forest, I wouldn't say he was gased hes not a fast guy to begin with, he slows down during a fight for sure (cause he keeps busy). Forest looked fast against Rampage cause Rampage is literally the slowest (or rather least mobile) guy in the LHW division but against Rashad I'd consider Forest slow.
i know right hahah just like cro cop is not the same since gonzaga. But at least cro cop did not even closely take as much punishment throughout his career.
great vid as usual. But you are so wrong on Nog - he was out of commission. Nog is human and if refs don't respect that, he might end up getting killed out there.
5 stars! i hate to say it, but noguiera was out.. he couldn't even walk straight when he got up.. i love the man but after seeing how he struggled with heath herring (and how easily lesnar dominated the same fighter) and how good/focused frank looked before the fight i knew it wasnt gonna be an easy fight as everyone thought.. at least now we likely get to see noguiera vs randy! props to frank though, he impressed me a lot and of course i was really happy 4 page..
What's up!!! The Night of the "Underdog" lol. I didn't get any fight right.
These fights were awesome. I know some people are hating (especially the Mir vs Nog fight good stoppage regardless of Nog's ability to take a punch)but I give all guys props.
Props Congo,Al-Turk, Dollaway,Nog, Mir,Rampage,Silva,Evans, and Griffin.
Did anyone see Nog after Herb ended the fight. He had spaghetti legs when he got back up. I still say a fair stoppage considering he didn't cover up and all those unanswered blows.
Rampage Jackson impressed me the most out of all the fights, his head movement & footwork made Silva hesitant when he couldn't land his hooks. The end was picture perfect, he put his right elbow infront of Silva's face to distract Silva's left hand then sidestepped the right hook dead into that wicked left hook. Hopefully he doesn't get fined for the 3 shots afterwards because like Rogan said, he was "Amped up."
Aside from Griffin blowing energy on kicking & nerves of defending the belt, you're right it seemed like even though he won the first 2 rounds it wasn't by a major margin and it seemed like he was running out of ideas. Round 3 he threw a similar legkick to the ones in round 1 & 2 which yeah; Evans timed, caught, and countered with a smashing right straight & the rest is history once he had Griffin tired & dummied on the ground.
yeah sorry dude I was typing the Kongo vs Nog thing and then you said it, haha. Anyway man I really admire your work and it helps me think out how the fights will go. Keep it up dude
Let's quit promoting brain damage for fighters who don't defend themselves. And let's quit using the excuse "he gets hurt". Nog was getting absolutely raped and the dude couldn't stand up afterwards and was wobbly. Nog straight up admitted to getting KOed so what the fuck is with everyone else not admitting it ?
What are you talking about Forrest has no cardio ? He just got done with a 5 round fight with Quinton, an incredibly fast paced fight with Shogun to the very end. His fight before that was three rounds with Hector and he goes to a hell of alot of decisions. What does getting punched in the face and beatdown have to do with bad cardio ?
If Forrest has no cardio then Mark Hunt has no chin.
Forrest was even gassed against Shogun. His often "sloppy" old school brawler tactics often covered the fact that he was DEAD TIRED. If he was a more technical striker it would be more clear. At the end of round 2, and the entire standing portion of round three, Forrest was breathing out of his wide open mouth, flat footed, slower, and his strikes were telegraphed and had little power behind em. Hence, why Rashad was able to catch a kick that had been thrown about 20 times before that.
Sorry but I still have to completely disagree with you. I consider Forrest's heart and cardio his bread and butter and I don't see anything throughout his fighting history to disprove that.
Then we will agree to disagree. In closing, I will say, watch him in the opening mins and then watch him near the end of all his fights EXCEPT against Rampage. He starts off somewhat crisp and completely ready to go. But the end, he is a sloppy mess. Breathing heavily between rounds. Fighting with his mouth open. The mouth open thing is enough to solidify my statement. It's like dropping your hands. You don't do these things because they are fatal errors. The only time u do, is when u are tired.
Forrest got a big break with Rampage when he injured his leg from the leg kick. As for Shogun, he had a blown out knee and didn't even have a proper training camp. Everyone was talking about his "size and length", but they forgot to mention he lacks the technical skills standing and on the ground (yes his BJJ isn't great). His wrist control was horrible, and his chin has never been great. And yes, Forrest was tired as you pointed out. I had no doubt Evans would beat him.
Cool. Well I hate to guess about what will happen to a fighters form in the future. What I HOPE is that Mir stays good, and Nog returns to being good. Because I like both fighters and also I just think its good for the division and the sport to have them both in top form. What I THINK though is that Nog might return to form, but I dont think he'll ever be champ again, just a feeling. And I think Mir is very mentally strong now, so I think he will be good for a while. Lesnar will be a test though
Well, as a striker, he is in the Top 5. As a fighter, no. Which is what I thought you were referring to. But yeah, as a straight up striker, in my opinion, no doubt about it. Pat Barry (though no Champion) is the most seasoned K-1 veteran ever to fight in the UFC outside of Mirko Cro Cop. And he's only 29.
Dude's kicks are STRONGER than ANYONE's in the UFC and his overall striking is up there. Far above Rampage, who still can't check a kick yet.
He's definitely a top 5 striker, but do you think he has a future in the HW division? He's kinda small for a HW (5'11''), but on the other part its a much weaker division than the LHW where I think he wouldn´t have that much size disadvantage but its the most stacked division in the UFC.
Yeah. He's the worst boxer of all time. I dunno what happened to his kicks, knees, and every other part of the striking arsenal other then left and right hook.
I think this event along with the ufc 84 were the two best events of the year except the 92 was a complete downfall for brazilians mma fighters (Nog and Wand)contrary to the 84 event. Was it just me or Wanderlei looked hesitant during few minutes the fight lasted? Because if he's gonna start fighting in a conservative way he just better start thinking about hanging the gloves, he's one of my favorites fighters but that was painful to watch.
About Nog/Mir I agree with you... Come on Its Nog!
Hi, remember me? I said we would catch up again soon. Im the one that said Nog has not been the same since he got raped by Fedor. At that time you were already looking ahead to Nog vs Lesnar, and saying Nog would take him. I said that confidence was seriously misplaced and Nog would not even beat Mir let alone Lesnsar. You clearly know a lot about mma including the history, but seem to let emotions cloud your analysis still too much. I love Nog but I knew Mir would beat him.
I truly believe it wasn't emotions getting in the way of "analysis." I think this was a case of Mir being better then he's EVER been, and Nog being worse then he's ever been, at the same time, in the same fight.
Will Mir be this fighter for the next few years? And will Nog NEVER return to his former days, some already say yes, I think we will know in his next bout.
You definitely were right about this fight. I hope you aren't right all together reg Nog.
It almost seems it was the Herrings headkick that slowed nog down :C ! Or I dont know. Maybe its just the old pride day performance enchants fading away.(lol).
No but seriously. Nog brothers never were the most athlethic ones. Myabe the sport is coming to a point where you absolutely need the athleticism to be at the top.
Not that mir is the greatest athlete, but its HW-division.
Still MIR=200xAthlete(nog) for sure! ha ha ha. With that performance I'd pick him against Barnett too.
He wasn't intelligently defending himself, Mir had him. If it wasn't stopped then it would have been in the next minute. He got up and damn near fell over. Give him credit where credit is due. Nog is one of my favorites along side Frank, it was hard for me to pick this fight but great video.
great vid like always, man im glad page and rashad won but damn nog, why did he have to let mir look like a world class striker, hopefully lesnar crushes him in the unification bout
I don't know if Evans could solve Lyoto, because he does not gas out & he is just on top when it comes to defense, & like always he would win by Dec. But I am totally with u that he will never get a title shot which sux. I like Lyoto & he is the most deserving of a shot if he beats Silva, cause then not only is he still undefeated he will be 6-0 in the UFC he is like the Fitch of the LHW div who else does Lyoto have to beat a win is a win he should get a shot but like u said it will never happen
Good vid dude. I think Herb Dean should've given Nog a little more time. I had the thought that they wanted to have Rampage/Silva then Dolloway/Massenzio so that people had a chance to "calm down" before the title fights....who knows. Pat Barry is working on his ground game constantly with Red Schafer (and a lot of good grapplers at our gym). Also, love the Dunder Mifflin shirt.
silva is a monster in the ring but in the cage he is just not good i think his record in the cage is like 2-6 and he is getting old and about the nog thing i agree with him not winning the fight but there are arguments about a late stoppage but he would of lost that on how mir looked which he looked incredible.
I completely agree with this whole video. Damn, I was actually so sad, especially seeing two of my all time favorite fighters lose, in Nog and Wanderlei. Such a surprising event, but I can't wait to see
fuck man this sucks!!! all my fav fighters are loosing couture, wandy my second favorite of all time nogueria, chuck, cro cop. And now my all time favorite fighter will be fighting next month against coleman if he doesnt make a comeback I will quit watching mma.
All your "fav's" are from the days of the past. You gotta find some new fighters worthy of the "fav" status. My only fav to lose yesterday was Nog. I was hoping Rampage would win but didn't want to think of the ramifications on Wandy's career if what happened, actually happened.
And yeah, Shogun HAS to get it done! A healthy Shogun is a THREAD TO EVERYONE IN THE LHW DIVISION!
I know, its sad tho watching the fighters that got me interested in the sport go out like they did. Some fighters that do interest me tho are carwin, rashad and maia.
I think they're probably gonna make randy vs nog. "battle of old champions" or something. + Dana would love to see randy win that one. I wish nog would retire soon, when he's still semi healthy and not end up like sakuraba.
Okami: You know if Anderson only has what, 5 fights left? Do we really need to see Okami as one the opponents?
if Machida can just keep winning, and get the magical 8 Ws, you'd think at least then they'd have to give him a title shot. But if he loses he could be out of UFC
As messed up as it is, I hope #2 happens. Anderson Silva said he doesn't want to compete at LHW because of Lyoto..what's there to stop him if Lyoto's cut? It could keep him from retirement and make the division just that much more deep.
LMAO no one wants to see Lyoto stay in the UFC. Just because he wins all his fights, and he beat Tito the way he did. The same with Rashad. They kind of fight the same way if you think about it, and they are beating every body's favorite fighters. I love these guys. LoL
I don't have a problem with Lyoto's style and I do think he deserves a title shot. Hell, a win is a win. You have to know how to play the game in all aspects, including how to work the scoring system.
Fact is though, he won't ever get a title shot because he's not what a lot of casual fans want to see. Let Dana cut him. There are other organizations that will snatch him up on the drop of a dime.
no question silva was the GREATEST but he's not half the fighter anymore. it hurts so much to see him lose - i guess cro cop's left leg put his brain in the cemetery
damn, let me just say for the record... I was devastated...
Silva.. too wild and should have kept his distance.
Nogueira... needs a new training camp
Evans... the only fighter who didn't disappoint me. but damn to see silva knocked out again i am devastated............................. i will go hide until next month
To the mma analyst and others, would you say this night was a case of the changing of the guard in the heavy and light-heavy divisions? The young overturing the old.
Kongo vs Gonzaga would be a great match.. then the winner of that faces Nogueira...and the winner of that gets a tittle shot! Very impressive victory by Mir. Lesnar vs Mir 2!
Pat Barry beasted the Viking's leg. He's kinda small for a heavyweight, move down to 205. Beasty striking anyways. If he gets some more success I might become a Pat Barry fan forrealz.
Dana White looked pissed putting the belt on Rashad. That made me happy. That saved the night for me because I was o-2 on the big 3 until then. When Nog went down I was getting teary.
Stoppage could have been a little early, but I think it would have ended the same; if not then later in the round. Mir was just connecting way too much and would have probably put him back in the same position.
Rampage vs Wandy was scaring me. Both seemed to be really hesitant during the fight and trying to feel each other out. Once during the fight saw a knee, was like oh shit. But for whatever reason, Wandy wasn't interested in the clinch w/e.
Rashad is completely unimpressive imo, like you say he moves and counters; that's his gameplan. Boring. While forrest had gas, he was the one bringing the fight. Shitty guard (probably due to being hurt) and lets Evans get a stoppage. sigh. I just want someone to destroy Evans atm, I don't care who. Anyone.
Mir did a great job. Dude was dominating nogueira, key word: Uppercut. Jesus. Was throwing those combo's finishing with the uppercuts and was connecting almost every time in the first round.
Exactly man, crappy crappy guard. It looked like he didn't prepare for Rashad on the ground at all. Forrest was pretty much dominating the standup at the beginning. NASTY g-n-p by Rashad nonetheless.
Oh and I enjoy Rashad's boxing, he's mad fast and he converts it well into THUNDAH! Anyways, I thought the crotch kissing thing was hilarious but I was still like "what a douche."
i think nogiera and wand need to retire I'm worried about them dudes getting brain damage. their both in their early 30's but they look 60. wand's jaw has gon done the crapper and he has no technique what so ever and he looks tiny compared to his pride days. nogiera was limping into the fight with mir he couldn't even put one punch on mir. also i herd that he is 70% blind in one eye. seriously i think that these two need to retire now before we lose these two diamonds of mma. wat u think?
I agree. Nog needs to retire immediately. All that punishment has caught up to him and seemed to have aged overnight. I don't want to see him take anymore punishement. As for wand, he should have a farewell fight and then call it a day. The punishment he has taken has not only affected his chin, but, as Karsten mentioned, the way he now fights. I don't think he looks tiny compared to the days of pride. His phisique is pretty much the same, except maybe the chest area. But he should retire soon.

How could I forget! Good call, Loomr. Call me crazy, but I think GSP would defeat Anderson Silva.
elmatador404 3 years ago
Only he would never do that while Rashad is the champion, because he says the belt will belong to his friend Lyoto (who is indeed probably the best LHW at the moment).
elmatador404 3 years ago

That's of course if he succeeds in the previous fights.
jagc3ve 3 years ago
5 fights for Silva.
I say:
1. Okami
2. Maia
3. Chuck Liddell
4. Rampage
5. (Leites is already going ahead. boo)

good video...it would be nice to see silva vs mousasi

I agree Herb Dean is a very Average Ref.
Im not sure Mir would have lost that fight tho.
Im also happy for MIR and sad for Nogera.
like to see Machida fight Rampage, Liddel, Griffin and Evans.
I hope MIR destroys heavey but crapy fighter Lesnar.
Tito vs Vanderlai would be a pay per biew event.
Anderson Silva vs Michael Bisbing
Mir and Lesnar and Gonzaga would be cool for a match up of any sort
jusryan13 3 years ago
Great Revieew man keep up the good work. i agree with the Nogueria fight, stopped too early. Mir's stand up looks good and i think it is better than Lesnar's. Rampages extra shots were a little unecessary but if it was someone else who gave the extra shots he would be booted by Dana for sure.
The new affliction card looks good.

Yeah man.
**that wasn't to you, Dallas. lol***
Peace
doliveij 3 years ago
Please keep up the good work, Mr. Doliveij.
panoca 3 years ago
except he does.. watch the rampage fight... and if u think he was even the LEAST bit gassed your a douchebag... but i already knew that..
stevenkeg 3 years ago
I saw the fight. He was not gassed, but was not imposing a frenetic pace that would entitle him to "one of the best cardios on the game". BS.

didnt sherk test positive for roids? hes a clown and a disgrace to mma, hes exactly what this sport doesnt need.
TerribleOne718 2 years ago
Sherk's positive test was pretty controversial. They asked for a second test of the urine at an olympic lab (the first test wasn't at a lab specializing in athletic doping) and the sample "dissapeared. I'd say he's far from a clown and disgrace to mma. The thing we don't need is more tough guys that talk shit on the internet, like war machine and terribleone718.
jsg103 2 years ago
its called freedom of speech and i stated my opinion, you dont like it ? tough, dont read my comment. last thing i need is someone like you telling me i cant state my opinion on the internet of all places. you disagree with me ? fine, you think im a shit talking tough guy? fine, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it and you have every right to say that to me. this is why i love the U.S of A..apparently you'd be better off somewhere where censorship rules supreme.
TerribleOne718 2 years ago
He was also blood tested after that with a negative result. If you don't know the facts, don't comment.
Trigunflame 2 years ago

Shh. Don't say that!
lol
The funny thing is, I can garauntee none of these dudes watched the video or even the section in question. There is a vid and someone saying I said Forrest has terrible cardio. Which is not the case.
Anyway, I find the whole thing funny and quite entertaining.
doliveij 3 years ago
lololol
Case cracked.
oh, and wow.
BTW.

StephenKeg: I will be posting again. So beware.

I do agree on one thing though.
Mir did throw like 10 punches and only the last one landed full on. The others either missed or grained him.
xian67 3 years ago
When every other comment is flaming you for saying Forrest has no cardio then you know youre wrong.
xian67 3 years ago
No cardio???
Are you fucking kidding me?
Thats what Forrest is known for. His cardio and his heart.
xian67 3 years ago
You don't know what you're talking about. Even Rashad gave Forrest credit for taking him out of his stand-up. What you're calling Forrest's deficiency in cardio, I would judge differently. His striking can be inconsistent (both kicks & punches) as he sometimes throws in a loopy or gangly way. Also, Forrest has shown a pattern that when he gets rocked (particularly on the ground) he losses his poise and can flail his limbs. Not sure if one can train that habit out. Train-knowledge-then comment.
rdf67 3 years ago
Wait.. what? =/ Go actually watch all his fights.
mike007lp 3 years ago

HumanTarget420 3 years ago 2
this whole analysis is utter garbage...i don't know how Forrest trains, so may be over training is a factor in his cardio, but from what i saw that night it wasn't his cardio, that did him in. he got sloppy with his kicks and didn't cover up when his leg got caught. as for the rest of this so called "analysis" it seems to be just your shitty opinion. Nog stoppage was a great one, as Mir was passed his guard landing punches
xthawkbmx 3 years ago
One more thing, Forrest kicks weren't landing at the right angles? So, that's why Rashad was icing his leg during the post fight interviews...
nfgpunk 3 years ago
I saw your video on Sherdog. I haven't watched all of it yet but I will. Anyway, I just wanted to comment on your shirt. Killer dude! I have the exact same shirt! Are you sure you're black? I lost all respect for you and self proclaimed label as the "mma analyst" when you said "rashad's boxing was on point" followed by "he lost both the first rounds" and "forrest has no cardio".
Your a joke. Go work out and practice some mma before you analyze it.

Forrest has amazing cardio, some of the best in mma, WTF are you talking about.
FRZeppelin 3 years ago
I agree, honestly, what else does forest have, his cardio is his biggest weapon. He keeps guys busy and outworks them. I advise the "analyst" to join an mma gym, step in the cage or a ring a few times and it will open your eyes a huge amount. You'll understand so much more about mma, especially stoppages, cardio, chin, and other things we can't see from behind our keyboards. Other than that, you have some pretty good knowledge overall.

Do a review for the K1 Dynamite event. Aoki is THE MAN!
elmatador404 3 years ago
Not to mention that Dana White (who is a nightmare for MMA, in my opinion) insisted on a contract where Fedor would have to lose at least once before he could be released from his contract. Fedor could never retire as UFC Champion... that was to be part of the contract.
Who in his right mind would sign such a thing? Dana White is a crook.
elmatador404 3 years ago
Pride fighters are nothing but a joke in the UFC, E.G shogun, wandi, crocop, verdum, nog, etc. They all suck, send them clowns back to japan to fight them low end japanese fighter. Why do you think Fedor is so afraid to enter the ufc? cause he knows he will get his ass kicked just like those other pridefc clowns!! lol
dollarbillllz 3 years ago
Wow. Just wow.
I will only reply to the Fedor part.

What can I say. Wandy's stance has gotten quite ridiculous. It just can't be effective anymore (especially without the full arsenal of strikes).
And ...

I have to disagree. I still havent seen the replay, but my impression is that Nogueira was really out this time. His eyes were lost and he seemed worst than his previous fights.. Its FCKING SAD! But true.. Hope we got to see the old Nog again.
panoca 3 years ago
Still can't believe Big Nog lost. WTF? Even Fedor couldn't knock him out? Mir looked great! 0vernite striker, I dunno what happened with Mir. I knew Forrest was gonna lose! And happy to see it happen! Also knew Wandy was loosing! Happy bout that aswell! Not sure if I'll get over the Nog loss. lol. Maybe someday, maybe not! Hope Lesnar kills Mir in the rematch! Great card and dreat vid once again! cheers y'all!
JonnyKickdrumz1 3 years ago
Yup the Nog stoppage was horrible. At least give him the "Brock vs Couture" treatment.
Couture was given more punishment before the stop. And we;re talking about a 45 year old fighter here.
If it wasn't Nog it could have been OK. But cmon...
Im guessing Herb was ordered to wait for at least flailing arm to make it look like a good stoppage. No post fight interview even..
I guess UFC doesnt really want Nog. I hope he comes back well with vengeance
kalelthesurfer 3 years ago
The thought that UFC referees might have a company agenda when calling fights never crossed my mind till this year, too many fights are getting stopped for nothing.
gary83uk 3 years ago 2
I think the couture stoppage went too long and although the big nog stoppage was a bit quick, he was out, look at him stumble and how disoriented he was upon standing up, he couldn't stand unassisted for awhile. Wandy, and Big Nog are two of my five fav fighters but the battles have taken a toll, Mir was the better man that night. From a fighter safety standpoint the ref can't say well this guy can take a beating, give him 30 more unanswered blows to recover, he'll make it..lol
jsg103 3 years ago
You are missing the point. Wobbly doesnt mean you are out. Fedor got wobbled by Fujita, Im pretty sure if the ref interfered right after that punch, Fedor would still have a difficult time standing straight. Check out Anderson Silva vs Rich Franklin II. In the end of round 1 Rich cant even get up. Rogan even said that he was already out. But alas, they still let them continue to round 2.I can give a lot more examples. They should have let Nog stayed a little longer.
kalelthesurfer 2 years ago
I think your leaving out a few things. Fedor was wobbled with ONE punch, still pushed foward and submitted him. Nog was dropped several different times from punches earlier in the fight, then he was dropped again, and didn't answer to the punches. He didn't push forward, he didn't do anything, He was unable to stand without help afterwards, not just wobbly, he was unable to stand unassisted. I can see it go a little bit longer, another few punches but there have been worse calls by far.
jsg103 2 years ago

den19852 3 years ago

What's up!!! The Night of the "Underdog" lol. I didn't get any fight right.
These fights were awesome. I know some people are hating (especially the Mir vs Nog fight good stoppage regardless of Nog's ability to take a punch)but I give all guys props.
Props Congo,Al-Turk, Dollaway,Nog, Mir,Rampage,Silva,Evans, and Griffin.
swizz33 3 years ago
Did anyone see Nog after Herb ended the fight. He had spaghetti legs when he got back up. I still say a fair stoppage considering he didn't cover up and all those unanswered blows.
swizz33 3 years ago
Rampage Jackson impressed me the most out of all the fights, his head movement & footwork made Silva hesitant when he couldn't land his hooks. The end was picture perfect, he put his right elbow infront of Silva's face to distract Silva's left hand then sidestepped the right hook dead into that wicked left hook. Hopefully he doesn't get fined for the 3 shots afterwards because like Rogan said, he was "Amped up."
c3n1x 3 years ago
14:20 of this made me laugh for a good while.
Aside from Griffin blowing energy on kicking & nerves of defending the belt, you're right it seemed like even though he won the first 2 rounds it wasn't by a major margin and it seemed like he was running out of ideas. Round 3 he threw a similar legkick to the ones in round 1 & 2 which yeah; Evans timed, caught, and countered with a smashing right straight & the rest is history once he had Griffin tired & dummied on the ground.
c3n1x 3 years ago
yeah sorry dude I was typing the Kongo vs Nog thing and then you said it, haha. Anyway man I really admire your work and it helps me think out how the fights will go. Keep it up dude
IryokuNWA 3 years ago
Let's quit promoting brain damage for fighters who don't defend themselves. And let's quit using the excuse "he gets hurt". Nog was getting absolutely raped and the dude couldn't stand up afterwards and was wobbly. Nog straight up admitted to getting KOed so what the fuck is with everyone else not admitting it ?
BrandonTheMandon 3 years ago
What are you talking about Forrest has no cardio ? He just got done with a 5 round fight with Quinton, an incredibly fast paced fight with Shogun to the very end. His fight before that was three rounds with Hector and he goes to a hell of alot of decisions. What does getting punched in the face and beatdown have to do with bad cardio ?
If Forrest has no cardio then Mark Hunt has no chin.
BrandonTheMandon 3 years ago
Forrest was even gassed against Shogun. His often "sloppy" old school brawler tactics often covered the fact that he was DEAD TIRED. If he was a more technical striker it would be more clear. At the end of round 2, and the entire standing portion of round three, Forrest was breathing out of his wide open mouth, flat footed, slower, and his strikes were telegraphed and had little power behind em. Hence, why Rashad was able to catch a kick that had been thrown about 20 times before that.
doliveij 3 years ago
Sorry but I still have to completely disagree with you. I consider Forrest's heart and cardio his bread and butter and I don't see anything throughout his fighting history to disprove that.
BrandonTheMandon 3 years ago
Then we will agree to disagree. In closing, I will say, watch him in the opening mins and then watch him near the end of all his fights EXCEPT against Rampage. He starts off somewhat crisp and completely ready to go. But the end, he is a sloppy mess. Breathing heavily between rounds. Fighting with his mouth open. The mouth open thing is enough to solidify my statement. It's like dropping your hands. You don't do these things because they are fatal errors. The only time u do, is when u are tired.
doliveij 3 years ago

Lesnar will be a test though
andysnadden 3 years ago
You didn't specify weight class. You said in the entire UFC.
BalladOfWorms 3 years ago
Well, as a striker, he is in the Top 5. As a fighter, no. Which is what I thought you were referring to. But yeah, as a straight up striker, in my opinion, no doubt about it. Pat Barry (though no Champion) is the most seasoned K-1 veteran ever to fight in the UFC outside of Mirko Cro Cop. And he's only 29.
Dude's kicks are STRONGER than ANYONE's in the UFC and his overall striking is up there. Far above Rampage, who still can't check a kick yet.
The Spider, Machida and Pat Barry. Top 3
IMO
doliveij 3 years ago
He's definitely a top 5 striker, but do you think he has a future in the HW division? He's kinda small for a HW (5'11''), but on the other part its a much weaker division than the LHW where I think he wouldn´t have that much size disadvantage but its the most stacked division in the UFC.

doliveij 3 years ago
I think this event along with the ufc 84 were the two best events of the year except the 92 was a complete downfall for brazilians mma fighters (Nog and Wand)contrary to the 84 event. Was it just me or Wanderlei looked hesitant during few minutes the fight lasted? Because if he's gonna start fighting in a conservative way he just better start thinking about hanging the gloves, he's one of my favorites fighters but that was painful to watch.
About Nog/Mir I agree with you... Come on Its Nog!
jagc3ve 3 years ago
Hi, remember me? I said we would catch up again soon. Im the one that said Nog has not been the same since he got raped by Fedor. At that time you were already looking ahead to Nog vs Lesnar, and saying Nog would take him. I said that confidence was seriously misplaced and Nog would not even beat Mir let alone Lesnsar. You clearly know a lot about mma including the history, but seem to let emotions cloud your analysis still too much. I love Nog but I knew Mir would beat him.
andysnadden 3 years ago
Welcome home, son. lol
Time will tell.
doliveij 3 years ago

I don't know if Evans could solve Lyoto, because he does not gas out & he is just on top when it comes to defense, & like always he would win by Dec. But I am totally with u that he will never get a title shot which sux. I like Lyoto & he is the most deserving of a shot if he beats Silva, cause then not only is he still undefeated he will be 6-0 in the UFC he is like the Fitch of the LHW div who else does Lyoto have to beat a win is a win he should get a shot but like u said it will never happen

silva is a monster in the ring but in the cage he is just not good i think his record in the cage is like 2-6 and he is getting old and about the nog thing i agree with him not winning the fight but there are arguments about a late stoppage but he would of lost that on how mir looked which he looked incredible.
dcdil 3 years ago
I hear ya, ropes instead of wire won't make Wanderlei strike better. Or clinch again. Or turn his brain back on.
doliveij 3 years ago
Nog had a staph infection coming into the fight which hence explains his performace.
HumanTarget420 3 years ago
I completely agree with this whole video. Damn, I was actually so sad, especially seeing two of my all time favorite fighters lose, in Nog and Wanderlei. Such a surprising event, but I can't wait to see
Nog vs Randy
Lesnar vs Mir
Jackson vs Evans

I cried a single, manly tear watching Big Nog get whomped like that. Damn. It seems unreal.
He doesn't look like he has a lot left in him. It's sad.

fuck man this sucks!!! all my fav fighters are loosing couture, wandy my second favorite of all time nogueria, chuck, cro cop. And now my all time favorite fighter will be fighting next month against coleman if he doesnt make a comeback I will quit watching mma.
fuckyoulucifer 3 years ago
All your "fav's" are from the days of the past. You gotta find some new fighters worthy of the "fav" status. My only fav to lose yesterday was Nog. I was hoping Rampage would win but didn't want to think of the ramifications on Wandy's career if what happened, actually happened.
And yeah, Shogun HAS to get it done! A healthy Shogun is a THREAD TO EVERYONE IN THE LHW DIVISION!
doliveij 3 years ago

Loomr 3 years ago
1. I's rather see Anderson fight Okami instead of Cote or Leites.
2. Machida will be cut when his current contract is up. They will low ball him and make it look like he wanted too much money.
doliveij 3 years ago
As messed up as it is, I hope #2 happens. Anderson Silva said he doesn't want to compete at LHW because of Lyoto..what's there to stop him if Lyoto's cut? It could keep him from retirement and make the division just that much more deep.
ughstupid 3 years ago
LMAO no one wants to see Lyoto stay in the UFC. Just because he wins all his fights, and he beat Tito the way he did. The same with Rashad. They kind of fight the same way if you think about it, and they are beating every body's favorite fighters. I love these guys. LoL
johneblaze82 3 years ago

Evans... the only fighter who didn't disappoint me. but damn to see silva knocked out again i am devastated............................. i will go hide until next month
this is a dawning of a new age

common on he couldnt even get up by himself so trying to make it look like he was aware if mir kept hitting him he would have been done

To the mma analyst and others, would you say this night was a case of the changing of the guard in the heavy and light-heavy divisions? The young overturing the old.
marbs0204 3 years ago
Kongo vs Gonzaga would be a great match.. then the winner of that faces Nogueira...and the winner of that gets a tittle shot! Very impressive victory by Mir. Lesnar vs Mir 2!

You can't make a set of rules for Nogueira and a set for everybody else. Eating shots is not cool.

Dana has been talking in a less then stellar way about Rashad ever since TUF 2.
lol

Rampage does his thing and catches him with the left hook.
Needless to say, I was ecastic.
Finally !!! Vindication.
Trigunflame 3 years ago
Stoppage could have been a little early, but I think it would have ended the same; if not then later in the round. Mir was just connecting way too much and would have probably put him back in the same position.
Rampage vs Wandy was scaring me. Both seemed to be really hesitant during the fight and trying to feel each other out. Once during the fight saw a knee, was like oh shit. But for whatever reason, Wandy wasn't interested in the clinch w/e.
Trigunflame 3 years ago
Rashad is completely unimpressive imo, like you say he moves and counters; that's his gameplan. Boring. While forrest had gas, he was the one bringing the fight. Shitty guard (probably due to being hurt) and lets Evans get a stoppage. sigh. I just want someone to destroy Evans atm, I don't care who. Anyone.
Mir did a great job. Dude was dominating nogueira, key word: Uppercut. Jesus. Was throwing those combo's finishing with the uppercuts and was connecting almost every time in the first round.
Trigunflame 3 years ago
Exactly man, crappy crappy guard. It looked like he didn't prepare for Rashad on the ground at all. Forrest was pretty much dominating the standup at the beginning. NASTY g-n-p by Rashad nonetheless.
Oh and I enjoy Rashad's boxing, he's mad fast and he converts it well into THUNDAH! Anyways, I thought the crotch kissing thing was hilarious but I was still like "what a douche."

i think nogiera and wand need to retire I'm worried about them dudes getting brain damage. their both in their early 30's but they look 60. wand's jaw has gon done the crapper and he has no technique what so ever and he looks tiny compared to his pride days. nogiera was limping into the fight with mir he couldn't even put one punch on mir. also i herd that he is 70% blind in one eye. seriously i think that these two need to retire now before we lose these two diamonds of mma. wat u think?
paydae 3 years ago
