@coolatma - not sure what you mean, even before the genome was sequenced it was common knowledge that family talents get passed on - there aren't hard and fast rules exactly, but one i do know of is the old 'skips a generation' - often a grandparent has talents & tastes that their grandchildren will have (ie even if they don't teach them or encourage it). not that parents & kids don't also have same, it's just one that came to mind when i read your comment.
Talent/skill shown by an individual is a result of a complex interaction between both environment and inherited abilities. Classic example would be in the case of identical twins raised in two different environments showing different skill sets. Inherited abilities alone will not make one individual shine in a particular field. Even if Bodhi Dharma had a twin brother, his twin will not have exactly the same talent as his. Or even if they try to clone him- same result. I rest my case.

Bodhidharma was a buddhist prince of the south indian dynasty called the Pallavas. According to two ancient chinese sources he was said to be either a south indian or a persian. According to Wikipedia Pallavas are not tamil they are telugu power. Anyway Bodhidharma was born in Tamilnadu but he is not only belonged to tamil but also had good connection with kerala also. He was mastered in Kerala's own martial art Kalarippayattu(by Parasuraman). So dont consider him as just a Tamilian. He was belonged to the whole south India.

i have seen both velayudham and 7am arivu,velayudham is nothing special typical vijay,7am arivu is better,but the problem is velayudham done full justice as a vijay movie,but 7am arivu failed to recreate the gajini wow factor,and who told actor is ugly suriya is most handsome actor in southindia along with prithviraj.
7am arivu is a good scientific and informative movie.... Muragadoss has done an excellent job .. Good work! The whole team has made a very good effort to make the state proud as well as has pointed out its drawbacks...Only people with sense can take this,the tamil industry has given its best..

@coolatma - not sure what you mean, even before the genome was sequenced it was common knowledge that family talents get passed on - there aren't hard and fast rules exactly, but one i do know of is the old 'skips a generation' - often a grandparent has talents & tastes that their grandchildren will have (ie even if they don't teach them or encourage it). not that parents & kids don't also have same, it's just one that came to mind when i read your comment.

Talent/skill shown by an individual is a result of a complex interaction between both environment and inherited abilities. Classic example would be in the case of identical twins raised in two different environments showing different skill sets. Inherited abilities alone will not make one individual shine in a particular field. Even if Bodhi Dharma had a twin brother, his twin will not have exactly the same talent as his. Or even if they try to clone him- same result. I rest my case.

They think they can invoke the talents “hidden” in the DNA. They may get away by calling this a “science fiction” story but the science about “DNA memory” in this movie is not real. Bodhidharma was a buddhist prince of the south indian dynasty called the Pallavas. According to two ancient chinese sources he was said to be either a south indian or a persian. FYI the tamil word Pallava is quite similar to the persian word Pahlavi. considering the upper caste groups of the tamils already at that time were aryans, the chinese could not differentiate between indian aryans and persian aryans. so most likely Bodhidharma was a tamil buddhist of aryan noblity heritage

According to Wikipedia Pallavas are not tamil they are telugu power. Anyway Bodhidharma was born in Tamilnadu but he is not only belonged to tamil but also had good connection with kerala also. 7am arivu is a good scientific and informative movie.... Muragadoss has done an excellent job .. Good work! The whole team has made a very good effort to make the state proud as well as has pointed out its drawbacks...Only people with sense can take this,the tamil industry has given its best..

I watch both movies....Vijay sir's movie,as usual a commercial movie with same styles and story(fight,love,puch dialogues) it doesnt have a message for all of us...BT 7am Arivu was fabulous,those whom are critisin it w'out watchin the movie are SON OF A BITCH! that's the only movie that can make all the TAMILIANS around the world come out with a pride and proud to be born as TAMILIAN! So...please dont waste your time hating,if can go n watch,only then we will know that how GREAT OUR RACE IS!

@rockstar88047 This type of movie is the need of the hour for tamils and murugadas has taken a risk of making such movie(which should be appreciated)..This movie will like you said will make tamils feel ashamed and realize what they have missed and what they are still missing and the consequences of it(like unable to stop deaths of tamils in eelam).
BTW in Canad, London and other EU countries,majority of Tamils send their kids to tamil school in addition to normal school.
