  • This is one of my favorite Waylon songs. My other favorite Waylon songs are ladies love outlaws and Luckenbach, Texas (back to the basics of love).

  • Waylon is one of my heroes. So is Charlie Daniels and John Wayne...

  • I lost my wife to Lung Cancer in 2009. This song really tells it the way it is

  • WAYLON IS AND WILL BE # 1 IF YOU WANT CHECK OUT JAMES DEWAR OF THE ROBIN TROWER BAND.....SONGS LIKE DAYDREAM , LOST IN LOVE , I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU , AND SO MANY MORE...MID 1970's ERA.....LET ME NO HOW YOU LIKE HIS SINGING....GIVE IT A CHANCE.

  • Waylon RULES!! Nobody can do this like Waylon.

  • Thanks. I forgot how much I miss this man.

  • Zero dislikes, damn right.

  • @j5sully2012 shit had a good run

  • DUBWISE!!!

  • Happy Birthday WJ..we that knew you still miss you and still sing and play the music

  • @Luck1au Your funny man. Right on!

  • This was the song that put my wife & I tyogether in the first place. I was in a bad relationship at the time & she had this crush on me.. Didn't see it until the day I got married to the other woman. Long story short got divorced, been married to my wife for 22 yrs. now. Thanks Waylon

  • @BBQFanNo1, I, also, was Dallas born, and raised on Waylon & Willie, and I remember listening to this on the Texas radio stations, including Bill Mack's Open Road Show. I'm still riding the same ol' Harley Chopper I rode back then, when I used to catch these guys live. Sure miss the 1970s.

  • God I really miss storyteller Country singers like Waylon Jennings & Don Williams. It just isnt the same anymore in the World.

  • Wow. This brings back memories of driving through Oklahoma,Texas, and New Mexico listening to the radio stations around 1976.

  • Waylon is my hero.

Jamey Johnson has a great version of this too.

  • Awesome tune. Awesome.

  • The best song ever!

  • Today,Waylon will be gone 9 years.I still miss him.He was my favorite singer since 1966,when I biught the album"Leavin Town".He is the greatest.I still love and miss you,Hoss.

  • @summersundistorm I got married february 13th, Because of Waylon, and it was a Friday.

  • You're the man Waylon!...Beautiful song!

  • As much as I love Jamey Johnson and his music, there is just a certain sense of vulnerability in Waylon's voice that can never be matched.

  • @ashkiiamber That is one of the best ways i've heard that explained I think your right.Waylon though bigger than life had a way of always seeming like the average guy even though he was far from average he was the best I think.

  • I miss Waylon, this song has been a main inspriation since I first heard - dreamin my dreams - sounds selfish but it really is with your partner (my wife) and making the most out of lfe's :)

  • Marianne Faithfull's cover of this was very good. It was on the NEMS label 1975 I think. It' can found here on Youtube.

  • Oh Waylon the world just isn't the same without you... Only you could sing this song and bring tears to my eyes

  • WILLIAM, I LOVE YOU

  • @neilkrause your weird. Get a life. What pipe have you been huffing too much of poser?

  • Listening to this melts my heart.

  • Soul absolutely soul. There are no words ever worthy to put down posted on this video.

  • Always loved this song; but now it's just bummin' me out; good to know it can still make me feel "things", and I guess that's what a good song is supposed to do.

  • @neilkrause if you are trying to say she is better than waylon.go to hell,luck1au got it spot on.NOBODY compares to waylon jennings

  • @superman31978 waylon would be proud of jamey johnson

  • @superman31978 I seem to have to say this on just about every video I make.....you came on this video page to watch this video...so don't advertise another on this video. End of story.

This is WAYLON JENNINGS' version of this song, therefor it should this version ONLY should be discussed on THIS page...it is to remember THIS ARTIST, not advertise another.

  • @acashfan1 you tell superman not to mention other versions of this song yet you tell luck1au that jack clement made a great version of this, please make up your mind, can we mention other singers or not,

  • @acashfan1 Agree

  • Beautiful song, if not his best, surely in top 5. I love it. I named my only son after him. R.I.P. Brother, sure do miss ya.......Thanks for post......

  • He came along but once. We shall never see his like again. I thank God I got to live in his time...RIP Buddy....

  • Waylon sounds great as always. I love this song. A couple of days ago I watched the movie "Stage Coach" which is the third version of this movie I believe. Waylon looks terrific in the movie. I was hoping he would sing a song. However, with other singers also in the movie that would have been a long movie. It was nice seeing his wife Jessie in the movie, too. Thank you for posting this one. - Paula

  • @twinPaula12 which movie is that.i only know the john wayne stage coach(sorry for being a bit thick)

  • @ant67hony

Hi Tony. This version of "Stage Coach" was made in 1986. None of the actors sang although they were all singers - Waylon, Willie, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and June Carter Cash who had a cameo role as the proprietress of a Way Station on the stage coach route. Tony Franciosa was also a star, altho we know he doesn't sing. The stage coach ladies are well known altho I just can't come up with their names right now. This has been on the Encore Westerns Channel -Paula

  • @twinPaula12 thanks paula,i never knew this existed(thats what living in a village in england does for you)but now i know it does i will definatly purchase a copy, again, thank you very much tony

  • This is how I fell bout all the greatest entertainment disappearing. I'm 20 years old right now and when this song is bout 100 years old I'll be 86---I doubt anything from the greatest era of entertainment---which I consider the 1915-1999--(a lot of years...but.) Anyway, this song is kinda how I feel cause it one day the entertainment and all I love might not be available so I'll have to go on, but I'll aIways miss it.

  • Another song from this period in 1976 I remember is Till The Rivers Run Dry by Don Williams.

  • I cry everytime I hear this song and the memories it brings back to 1976 and 1977.

  • From 1975

  • My favorite Waylon Jennings song.

  • love this song

  • Beautiful.

    Nycolas C.

  • acashfan1 thank you for the upload, this is just wonderful! It is nice to listen to the more vulnerable Waylon, he could elicit feelings like no other! And, this song is just too damofino fine! The intro is outstanding, the main body is moving, and the outro fades into the sunset like it is more magic than music! I miss you Waylon, in a world filled with phoney baloney, your music was WHITE LIGHT!! Thank You (for the space). acashfan1( for the upload and cool pixl), and to WAYLON for a classic

  • RIP Waylon

  • I could just listen to this song the entire day.......simply beautiful!

  • It sure is his song. I have to sometimes listen to this to fall asleep. There is another good version, it was done as a tribute to him by his brother-in-law and long time record producer (who produced this album and song) "Cowboy" Jack Clement, I might most his version of this too.

  • I love Waylon's music. This song is one of my favorites. He does the love songs so wonderfully. He is one of the greatest artists ever and I miss him so much. I have a new user name now - somehow when I got a new server my old name was lost. My old one - PaulinaRena - was apparently not recognized by Google. I am trying to get my Favorites list back up again and Waylon is always on it. Thank you for posting this. - Paula

  • The real deal,,he owned this song,,just don`t get any better

  • Gone but never forgotten.

Thank you God for Waylon and his music.

  • Thanks for posting this. It has special meaning at this time in my life.

  • I Miss You Waylon..

  • As far a i'm concerned, this is the ONLY version of this song. This is the 1st song of Waylons that I had ever heard & the one that caused me to be a huge fan. RIP Waylon

  • Great song and passionate singing. Alison Krauss sings a beautiful version of this as well.

  • if you like this song you should listen to waylon's version of i recall a gypsy woman...that man had no equal

  • THIS IS SO GOOD!!!

Jamey Johnson does a great job as well, but Waylon is just the MAN!!!

  • I'm gong to make this comment one time and one time only. This is WAYLON's version of this song, and the only on that comes even close to being as good as this one is the version recorded by his brother-in-law "Cowboy" Jack Clement. If you lie Jamey Johnson's version then go listen to it and quit jamming up this comment board with messages about it!!!

  • so much passion in his voice. you can feel it almost more than you actully hear it.

  • This is a lovely song. I used to have

    Marianne Faithfull's version years ago.

    :)

  • I miss Waylon.

  • One of my Favorite Waylon Songs!

I had the 45 and use to play it over and over.

    Simple & True.

    Love You Waylon..

  • Wondreful song, excellent vid. Love Waylon´s voice. Thank you!

  • Great song, great photos, Waylon my man, you are MISSED! Rest in peace old son, you done good! Thanks for the posting to acashfan, I loved Johnny a whole bunch too! Thanks as always to Y.T., and rock on Shindiggers!

  • Oh, I know Waylon's work pretty well. He was my father's favorite artist, and yes, he had many, many great songs, but "Dreaming..." has been my fave for a long time. I was fortunate to be able to see him in '92 at the Cloverdale Rodeo in British Columbia. When I was a kid my folks used to play early 70's Waylon albums endlessly. I just think that with this tune he accessed a depth of emotion that he rarely touched elsewhere.

  • A great one by Waylon. His voice was so smooth and crisp. I miss him. Keep up the good work! I enjoy your videos!

  • What a beautiful song by a great man!

    I love Waylon!! THANK YOU!

    xoxoxox :(

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • Great video! excellent song by Waylon. Love it. Keep them coming :-)
