  • wonderful music!!!

  • I actually thought this movie was very good.

Some people really shit all over it when it came out, but it's a nice flick.

  • i love this part of this movie

  • lol at 2:41

  • Damn that horse is fast.

  • Oh my god I haven't heard this song since we played it in marching band my freshman year. I'm so glad someone uploaded this. The memories it brings back are amazing.

  • oh this brings back so many memories of band. we did this show for my rookie year of Marching Band so fun

the music is beautiful.. and John Williams is a master genius!! favorite composer ever

    <3love this movie

  • Why are my comments getting thumbs downs?

I'm saying why and what happened in the film...nothing bad...jeez!

  • this song was part of my high school's halftime show, it started with our 8 sousaphones for a solo, it was so incredibly beast

  • This song would sound good during the ceremonies of the Mets' new and first home opener at Citi Field in New York.

  • IT was a cold film. I sat there thinking is this IT!!! The leads were awful. Ron directing seemed like a tv movie of the week. John Williams music was the only good thing about this mess.

  • the ending sucked, though.

  • John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra ^_^

  • HE didn't use the LSO for this film!!!! IT was the Hollywood Orchestra.

  • I know :)

Because it was a wild horse, and it was NOT doing anything it was being told, so he punched some sense into it

  • why the hell r they racing with wagons just use a bloody horse

  • Because they're actually going to be claiming land with it.

The point of the race is to claim an area of land out of the hundreds of areas available, so some people have their belongings.

  • Firstly, John Williams really does justice to this amazing scene but even more so, this is before crap, lazy CGI took the magic out of movies. This scene is up there with the truck case from 'Raiders of the Los Ark' or Buffalo hunt from 'Dances with Wolves'. I miss old fashioned movies like these that where romantic, had old school action & full of feel good vibes. This will always be miles ahead of anything a computer will ever 'create'. You'll never, ever see anything like this scene again.

  • john williams is a fucking genius.

  • I played this piece last year. It must be a different arrangement than what I had played. Awesome piece though, great for a Bari Sax player.

  • I have no wish to fight you...

Really good movie and a wonderful soundtrack!

  • The marching band I am in is doing is performing this song so i tried to listen to some of the parts so i could try to meet the standard. When performed by professionals this video this truly is quite a beautiful piece

  • what school do you go to?

  • I am intrigued to know as well. Not since Cadets 1995 has any arrangement been as good as the original, let alone the performance.

  • I am obsessed with 3:09-3:37

    That soaring majesty of notes

  • that was the music used the the treasure planet trailer.

  • So am I. They actually used that for the Treasure Planet trailer.

  • This is a testament why John Williams is not simply a movie composer, but a full artist, whose works will transcend the movie. This scene is absolutely great and an amazing production, but Williams amazing music brings the same greatness and the combination is incredible.
