I'm kind of surprised you don't see at least a few NHL defensemen using wooden sticks. The risk of busting a stick while trying a slap shot and being left with no option but to hold seems too great to me.

im thinking of change from composite sticks to wood sticks becaouse the icehockey season has just begun and i have already broken 3 sticks. last season i broke 5 sticks in 1 and a half month

Lol, well ya the wood stick still works. But it's way heavier, makes your kid slightly worse at puckhandling and shooting, and those $30 sticks do get pricey when you have to buy 5 of them every month....

Haha I don't buy wood sticks anymore because I like composite but you can still buy composite stick for a decent price. It dosnt have to be a 200$ stick
