Not bad- try breathing from the diaphram though. That will open you up on the higher parts. The best way to do this is inhale through your nose, hold it and relaxe. When you get the feel of it, then inhale through your mouth . Keep the throat relaxed.and lock the air in and sing..

I really like your singing. Now you can start thinking about the "lyrics behind the lyrics". For example, in the bridge ("Funny, but it seems I always wind up here with you...."), try to convey the feeling that you are slowly realizing that the person you're singing to is the one you always seem to go to when you're feeling down and need a friend. It will give your singing another dimension, a subtle nuance. Hope that helps.

I think your voice is similar, but I don't think that is what makes this video so great. I think what puts this video over the other covers on youtube is the fact that you sing it with the right amount of panache.
