  • Hi Rob ! thanks a lot for your precious time and lessons.. This is helped me a lot as a beginner.

  • I just got my first guitar and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!! You are a very talented and generous person.

  • I hope it goes well.

  • I just got my very first guitar (thanks for the help w/ that) and now I'm excited to start. Thank you so much for making these videos!!!! :)

  • Loads of thanks from Norway!

I just bought myself a guitar, but had no idea where to start. But these videos are great, so thank you very much :)

  • Great. Just practice each week's lesson, using practice companion A, and don't worry about videos B or C.

You should be able to get through it all in 7 weeks, with half an hour a day for practice.

  • Note to self - do a little more research before asking stupid questions.

I looked ahead and I see why you're using your thumb.

I'll get back to practicing now.

  • Hi Rob,

you use your thumb on all the strings in this C major scale excercise.

It seems more natural for me to use my index and middle finger on the G and B strings.

    Should I practice thumb only?

    John.

  • these videos are great!!! finally guitar lessons that start from the basics and are very simple to understand, much appreciated =) congrats

  • Thank you so much

  • You are very welcome.

  • First, Thanks for these lessons - so far so good. I just have one question - when I do the scale, am I to clear all my fingers for the next open note or can I set up my next finger for the next note.

Again, Thanks for this and all the time it took for you to produce these videos!

    All the best

  • Mr. Bourassa thank you for the lessons, I hope they will help me improve. I have a question however (and this applies to the entire course I'm sure), after we are able to do this practice session are we to move on to the Intermediate and Advanced lessons then onto the Chord Practice A, or go from this Beginner lesson to the next Beginner lesson?

  • You can stay on Practice Companion A for each lesson. Once you are through them all, go ahead and start on B.

  • what is the metronome speed set at?

  • 144. Same as the other clips.
