My bf had a pet rooster that would attack anyone but him. One day it mistook him for someone else because he had his back to it and it attacked him. It ended up as chicken soup I think.
That rooster kicked her ass. Which she totally deserved for provoking it. But what sucks is that it now thinks its supposed to do that all time--so hahaha dumbass, you just taught your rooster to attack poeple.
Not necessarily. The rooster will probably learn that attacking people is pointless anyway. But a rooster WILL attack if he feels someone wants to harm "his" hens--he doesn't need to be 'taught' that. In any case, it's very rare for a rooster attack to be fatal. I've never heard of anyone being hospitalized as a result of a rooster attack. (Dog attack--yes, very often.) I know of a rooster who was very protective of the pigeons he shared a backyard with.
Actually, I grew up on a farm. I think I know a thing or two about chickens and roosters. I know/agree a rooster will defend his hens, but roosters and lots of animals are taught behaviors also. And I didn't say anything about rooster attacks being fatal, but I have been spurred before and know someone that had to go the hospital because their arm was punctured with a 1 1/2 inch spur. So...
Oh, OK. Well, I've learned something. Anyway, you being a fellow rural person, I was interested in seeing your profile, but there's nothing there. Well, maybe it's safer that way. One doesn't want to leave traces of oneself which can be gathered to profile one. What was your favourite breed of chicken. I really like Old English Game, because they were least tampered with by selective breeding.
I would kick the shit out of him and let him know thats your yard and not his >_>
