the great majority of the honorable Salaf said we accapt what the Quran and Hadith Revealed without give how(takyeef), or resemblace(tashbeeh). As for some of those who claim to follow salaf today they are Mushabiha(resemblers-) because the gave physical attributes to Allah and that is Kufr. You must know and believe that otherwise you have not understood Tawheed properly.

@sultaneducation, About your remark of the salaf giving the attributes of creation, such as leg, hands,and other suppossed statements of kufr, you should know that all they 'the ones who follow the salaf ' simply say what Allah himself has said about himself or what he has revealed through his messenger Mohammad s.a.w without adding any interpretation or distortion to it like some groups do today. But rather simply state what has been stated about Allah, by Allah and his Messenger.

The Names and Attributes of Allah can not be numbered, there is no limit. Our knowledge as human is limited as you know and the Muslim Scholars such as Imam Abu Hanifa (radi Allahu anhu) saif that a Muslim must know at least thirteen WITHOUT LIMITING ALLAH TO ONLY 13 ATTRIBUTES. Some scholars mentioned 7 attributes in their books and called them Dhaatiyya meaning attributes of the self. And they said that those specific 7 can not be attributed with their opposites. Like one can say Allah

one can say that the Attribute of Life is Dhatiyya because the opposite of life is death and ALlah is not attributed with death ( ma^thallaah). But another attribute like AL-Ihyaa'(to give life) can be attributed with the opposite meaning. We can say ALlah also gives or creates death.

But why only these 13 or 7? why should i just know these when Allah affirms many more in his book and on the tongue of the messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wasalam over and over again? We believe as muslims that Allah has completed our deen for us, even as salam as farsi said to one individual we have been told how to attend the bathroom, so how can it be that when it comes to the dhaat of Allah we cannot rely on what he informs us?

I just ask for you to read my comments carefully and ponder.And in response to your comment, our Religion is complete and part of it's perfection is to know and believe that Allah is Perfect and His Attributes are Perfect (without a how or likeness to the creation) unlike the lies of todays greatest enemies of Islam who falsely call themselves Salafis. I asked Maalik, al-Awzaaee, Layth Ibn Sad and Sufyaan ath-Thawree - rahimahumullaah - concerning the reports related about the Attributes, so they all said: Leave them as they are, without asking how.

You are repeating correct statements used by snakes to mislead Muslims. Allah is not a body, you have to accept that And all the AYah's or HAdiths that apparently attribute bodliy attributes to Allah are to be explained with tanzeeh, so that one can protect Imaan from tashbeeh.

to say that we must do ta'weel is fine and this is one of the valid paths of AHlus-Sunnah. and other scholars chose to give more specific meanings to some Ayahs such as Imam Bukharee and Imam Ahmad. I really hope you know the meaning of what you wrote because if you do then we are not in disagreement.

Your translation 'without asking how' is very misleading. The narration is 'Bila Kayf' meaning without APPLYING a how to Allah and that is because Allah is clear of having a how (Physical hands, feet a face ect) a 'how' is used for describing the creations.

al-Asfarayiniyy in at-Tabsir fid-Deen & al-Asbahaniyy in his book Hilyat al-Awliyaa narrated when Imam Ali was asked How is Allah he replied: Allah created what is described with a how. So the word how does not apply to Allah

...and also in Sharh Usoolul-Itiqaad Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaaah of Imaam al-Laalikaaee(p. 118) and the chain of narrators is hasan.

You must accept it. Allah is not a body and He does not occupy a place up over the ^arsh nor does he come down at night like the Mujjassima(anthropomorphists) claim. I advise you to follow Ahlus-Sunnah and not those who claim falsely to follow the salaf.

this is a mistranslation of the Arabic word Qadm which could mean foot but not when speaking about Allah, Al-Bukhari is a great Muslim scholar that does not give Allah physical attributes. whoever believes Allah has a leg or body parts has blasphemed and is required to repent by re-taking the Shahada.

there are many Ayah's and Hadiths that could be twisted to mean something else. this is why we have to follow the legacy passed down by the Prophets family and companions who emphasised that Allah is not a body, light or spirit.
