  • SOME HERE ARE PAID BY QANTAS TO GIVE POSITIVE COMMENTS

  • I never go to toilet on a plane, end up crashing with my trolleys down on national tv !

  • Qantasas spirit will always try to keep us safe no matter what goes wrong, They really are the spirit of Australia Stong. I always feel safe on my national airline, and i think all auzies like me agree, including those overseas who have felt our strong spirit of Australia.

  • What happens if you walk out of your house and then get struck down by a luggage bag?

  • id rather fly with an aussie airline than those shifty ass gooks any day

  • IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME??????

  • Typical Boeing ,if it's Boeing I ain't going !!!

  • Typical Boeing ,if it's Boeing I ain't going!!!

  • I would hate to be in the bathroom...

  • Qantas is getting worse...

  • on ba 767 the flaps weren't working so they had to keep trying and getting a guy to put his thumb up if they were working lol;)

  • Actually, it didn't plunge. The captain was doing an emergency dive to 10 000 feet for oxygen in the plane. They got a small point wrong

  • @bngauw Your right they have so much time before they ended up like air Helen from greeece and all being dead or passed out from lack of oxygen.

  • qantas plane is very old such as 747 767

  • Yes they are. Qantas still using them on some route but they will soon to be replaced. Such as Boeing 747 to be replace with Airbus A380 and 767 with 787.

  • They are the Best Pilots in the World. They are still the Safest. Any more comments from those that do not know?

  • @riplstrip It's not just the pilots of an aircraft that make the airline safe, it's a myriad of things that go on in the background like maintenance and such. Pilots in general are basically all trained in the same fashion and there are many airlines around the world who are just as good and safe to fly.

  • @celticlofts You are correct in your observations overall. Forget your mechanical and electronic failures, The Pilots are your last resort. Pilots in General are NOT trained as well as QANTAS Pilots. This depends on Aircraft and Training time in such that makes a difference. Of course there are other Airlines that go through the same training. Emirates and Singapore come to mind.

  • Respond to this video... Are You nit picking Cetic ? I am telling it as it stands. No Major Accident. What is your reply ? and please do not be silly about this. I hold a CPL and not a ATPL.

I do not fly the big ones.

  • @riplstrip: My point was that if you fly for a company that has a thousand aircraft the chances of being involved in an accident are much greater than flying with an airline which has much fewer aircraft in its fleet. Of course the laws of averages will go against you. I mean are you honestly claiming that Quantas pilots are somehow better than say British Airways pilots or Aer Lingus pilots or American Airlines pilots.. I don't think so.

  • @riplstrip: Well I'm very happy to hear that the airline has had no major accidents, as I'm sure the folks who fly the airline are too.. I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest sympathy on hearing that you're unable to fly the big ones .. alas you might console yourself in the knowledge that the skies are must safer as a result of it :-)

  • @celticlofts What do you mean "the Big ones" what are you on about? if you mean big aircraft, we have bigger aircraft than BA and any of the American Airlines. BA has about 100 more aircraft than Qantas, that shouldn't make a difference. BA is also younger, than Qantas..yet they've still had more crashes. I'm not saying Qantas pilots are better, but they're pretty damn good.

  • it didn't plunge. the pilot was lowering the plane to balance oxygen levels. and the hole was as big as maybe a mini car.

  • Not doubting the severity of the incident, but for god's sake, the "plunge" was very much intended, and, indeed, saved their skin! But I guess "controlled descent" doesn't sound nearly as dramatic.

  • i hate it how the media dont have a clue about what they are saying or be over dramatic, they just make the situation worse and make a joke of themselves.

  • Bet they thought they were going to see Ben and Jacob

  • Lol "minivan" LOL!!!

  • grt aus airline but withint 6months qantas will not be exist if downturn continues to raise

  • i flew on a qantas flight to china and we had to turn back because TCAS was working or something then we got put on a 747 and we couldnt leave because there were a problem with the flaps not coming down put we finally got to china

  • I love the misinformation that news puts out... It would have been more apporopriate for that news caster to say the aircraft made an emergancy decent. Idiots

  • Exactly what I was thinking. But people don't know that until the captain explains it to them.

  • misinformation kicks ass

  • Engine shut down/s

    Panels falling off

    Landing gear issues/fail x2

    Irregularities in maintenance records

    Jack screw problems

    Rudder problems

    Toilet problems x2

    Grounded passengers

    747 Power failure

    Aborted takeoff

  • And yet no fatalities.

    Awesome pilots qantas have!!!

  • Very hazardous, those toilet problems.

  • 2008

    Hole in 747 mid-air

    A330 Plunges mid-air

    2x 747 Collision- airport

    Fleet grounded x2

    Emergency landings

    Hydraulic leaks x3

  • IT DID NOT PLUNGE!!!! in the event of a depressurisation, the pilot's first action is to put on supplemental oxygen, then make a rapid descent to a more suitable height (around 10000-13000 feet). when a hole busts in the fuselage, the plane doesn't fall uncontrolably, it is put into a controled descent.

the air is being sucked out --> plane gets lighter with less air inside. why would this cause it to fall if it was fine when heavy?

  • I said the same thing. It's stupid. The news needs to inform the public properly. There are less injuries and deaths in aviation then there is on our highways daily. Only reason aviation gets so much coverage is cause 1 airplane can carry 200+ people. Sigh. LOL I should go into News and report it properly. BAH. Waste of my time.
