Rock Star: INXS Contestants Interviewed

I remember watching this show back in 05 or 06. When you think about it, it was kind of pointless to have female singers there. If you know anything about INXS, you just KNEW female singers would not fit in there. You just knew that the band wasn’t going to go for female singers.

Of course it makes sense to have female singers in terms of reality show but you HAD to know they weren’t going to win.

The final 3 were all males.

The problem with INXS is though they once had a lead singer with remarkable taste and poise - the fact is the rest of the lot have horrid taste and are cheesy commercial opportunist types. This INXS reality show is the worst chapter in INXS history.

Tara's the only real rock star there, she already had the albums, tours, video's and ACTUAL hits in her tickle trunk....those other dinks were only on a crappy reality show and think they're stars....too funny!!

Real artists do not come from these stupid idol contest shows..thats all just entertainment for 12yr old girls..the REAL artists actually have talent and make it on their own! Having a recording contract should be EARNED through blood and sweat...not won in a contest because a bunch of grade school students liked what you were wearing and voted for u.Grow up and go buy a CD by some real musicians instead of some Hollywood processed flavor of the week divas who only want to look good in a video!!

Ty had a recording contract with his band Dakota Moon, released 2 Albums and toured with Tina Turner.

I so wanted Jordis to win. I never agree with the band's choice in stuff like this though. Season 2 I wanted either Toby, Dilana, or Storm to win. Although I prefer Toby and Storm as solo acts. So Dilana was my first choice for season 2. I only had one choice in season 1 because IMO, season 1 had less talented singers than season 2. In season 2 I like something about everyone. But in 1, there were so many that I just didn't like.

I agree with you about Jordis and the others. Although I really liked Marty as well. The thing is, you could tell Jordis, Marty, Storm, and Toby were all really great people also (not saying Dilana isn't but there was a diva side to her). Someone like JD with his machinations is not somebody I would trust to be in my band. He played it like a reality game show and seemed the weasel. Having seen the footage it makes me wonder why INXS would want someone like that in their band.

Saw Suzie in the Queen rock musical "We Will Rock You" - Toronto production....she was awesome in it! I'll bet when she had sung Bohemian Rhapsody on the show, that she never imagined she'd be in the Queen musical a year later.

She's really great!

Thanks for posting this. I was looking forward to this segment on Friday, but missed it because I had to take my niece to school. I really enjoyed Rock Star:INXS last summer. In fact, 2 days from now I'll be seeing the band live in Kitchener.

I'm glad someone was happy I posted it. My wife just got back from seeing INXS in Toronto and she loved it. I wish I could have gone.
