Osbourne was at his best in the early days of Sabbath..., just rock'n'roll, sweating giving it fucking everything! For pretty well the last 15 years, he's really just been stumbling around the stage like some sort of brain dead mutant who's had a lobotomy. But ya got ta love him!
Ozzy is the best....and he's got a wicked sense of humour too. I'm glad he has Sharon - she's a perfect match for him. They have a great family and Ozzy is a fantastic musician. Wouldn't it be cool to have had Ozzy for a dad? :)
Ozzy in the live aid era kind of reminds me of insane aunty at a wedding.. highlights sequins and eyeliner are not a good look for a fat 40 year old man.
Hate to say it but I'm totally right. Ozzy solo was way bigger than Sabbath ever was. A lot of that credit goes to Sharon, who was a genius as a manager. This was way before their reality show. I saw Ozzy in concert in the 90's and he was a bloody mess on stage, singing off key and other shit but still a killer show.
this is provably the most lucky person ever...how the hell...somebody like him...with no opportunities to be anybody...find the musicians he found...to make his work...because Ozzy has never made anything more than the lyrics in a song...he don't compose no song in his life...
I agree with skilleye. I mean, no question sabbath was a total BAND, and every member shone and brought something unique, but Tony's dark riffs without Ozzy's demented voice just wouldnt have the same power.

CORRECTION TO MY PREVIOUS POST.... the first glimpse we see of ozzy as i had mentioned in the below posts is actually at the end of his career with sabbath where he had already lost the passion for the black sabbath concept.0:30 and he later says this is the point where randy rhodes had came into his life and we all know this was the bud of his solo career
ozzy was given the moniker of prince of darkness during his early years with sabbath because... he FUCKIN presented and sounded like a prince of darkness. when i say prince of darkness do u think bleached hair, eyeliner and a hollywood glam metal rhinestone jacket or do you think of how the sound of early sabbath made you feel initially..?. yes that feeling of this is the most intense and dark thing ive ever heard
It makes me sad to see the first two parts of this documentary and how ozzy was then and then to see this third part and the first glimpse we see of the "solo career" ozzy he is wearing eyeliner, has bleach hair and a fucking hollywood glam metal rhinestone fucking jacket.
I agree, but then again, That was Sharon's fault. Ozzy just went along with it, but frankly he's always made kick ass music so that doesn't really bother me as much
@skilleye I don't think so. Ozzy was a good but not excellent vocalist. Tony is most primarily responsible for Sabbath's success. This comes from a 43 year old accountant.
@skilleye exactly and the proof is in what happened when Dio joined they were know were near as good as they was . but then again Sabbath's last 2 records with Ozzy weren't the same as the records that came before they sounded more like a rock band than a metal band so maybe Sabbath was on it's way out anyway who really knows
Maybe he is a good drummer, but not a great one, and I hate his actitude, I don't know there is something about the way he speaks and talks, in general, about the way he express himself that I just cant hold on...and also because of the way he treated Mustaine...I would preferred listen to James opinion about Ozzy and than lars the asshole opinion...hehe..It seems that all he says is just to call atention or to other people think "oh yeah..its great"
That moment when you realise this is real music.
And WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MUSIC TODAY??????!!!!
