  • WOW..... this dude is an idiot. Expert village my ass! I am ashamed at what is considered an expert in fitness today.

  • the hindu squat is so much more than he describes.expert village is really mis informing the world,with thier so called experts.

  • moving slowly with weight is no different to moving fast without.

    the only diff. is the energy pathway your body uses - phoso/glyco/lactic or a combo. the reason 'heavy weights make you slower' is because that's not training for very short duration explosion (pyro). You get what you train for. Even fat and scawny dudes can jump high/punch quick/sprint. Weight training will help if you use pyro weights - eg: olympic lifters n sprinters aren't slow.

  • He isn't right, the Hindu Squat is done with inhaling on the way up and exhaling down.

    Although he isn't teaching the correct form.

  • Actually, you are wrong, in Hindu Squats the breating is different. You inhale on the way up and exhale on the way down.

  • do both hindu squats and barbell squats. i did hindu squats and my thighs got so huge fast twitch muscles ot developed and i can twitch the thigh muscles just seating down.

  • Yeah. And how many times during your normal daily routine are you lifting 400 lbs.?

  • these are way better than barbell squats becuz hindu squats gives you that explosiveness and flexibility that you need to for sports, martial arts,. you can squat 400 lbs. but they only make your legs slower and less agility.

  • That makes no sense... bulky large legs make you less agile... Squats in general make you stronger and assuming you didnt gain any weight, youll be more agile.

  • rasgeet, what is your problem. search "matt furey" who discovered the effectiveness of the hindu squats. barbell squats are good but if you dont do plyometrics, running,stretching, those barbell squats will make your legs less explosive. i mean rotational andexplosive strengh not maximal strength slow and steady that the barbell squats develop.

  • Interesting comments so far. I was actually ready to poke fun, but his form is pretty good. Granted, if he loaded up a bar and tried to perform, he'd probably get crushed. But he's got the BW form down.

  • how come so many americans in their late-teens early tweenties think that just because they have been working out (badly) at some body & fitness and got a low bf% they are an expert. Seems like every other of these geezers think they are coach-material.. "you'd want your knees to track your second toe". Geez.. Get a clue!!

  • lol that's great! I agree. Funny how many "experts" there are. Man, he's ruining the hindu squat. And hindu squats are such an amazing exercise
