I like it but you could use a slide on that slide guitar of yours and make it sound a million times cooler. I mean no disrespect but the way you are playing it there you might as well pick up a regular guitar.
Hi Curt: That's a good one. Enjoyed your singing and playing that dobro/guitar. I'm working on this one on the banjo, but it has been a hard one for me - but I'll keep plucking - :>)) Gwen
Hi Curt: Your singing was great - you need to do more of it. Rocky Top won't be my first one on You Tube - not that good at it right now, especially the second part - I'm still working on it though. But may try one soon - might be my last - :<)) Gwen
I would like to hear that. I love the sound of the fiddle. You might try playing my video in the background and make a video of you play with me. That would be great and you have my permission. I know our Youtubers would like it.
Thank you Sherril! this guitar is an eye catcher, everyone likes it. The more I play it the more I like it. It has a great sound plugged or as an acoustic. Most of the time I play it as an acoustic into a mic.
This has always been one of my favorites too. I'm going to sing more in some of my future videos. I have Detroit City down pretty good, but thye talking part, where I jump on a south bound train.
Since I play by ear, it took me a while to learn what each fret and each string sounded like. I memorized where everything was. Now I can play almost as good as I speak. If I can hum it I can play it.
Thank's! I love bluegras, with the hammerons, bending and pulloffs of the strings. I'm still working on doing pulloffs. I try to incorperate some bluegrass licks in most of my music. My favorite is to mix Country and Bluegrass together. This is a style that I have developed teaching myself how to play. I play strickly by ear. I can't read music. I'm just learning the names of the chords I play.
Thank You! I have done it many times since post on here. I can do it with my eyes closed. I have always wanted to learn this song and it is the only one I have sang. Maybe I'll do more someday, but for now I just pick.
Thank You Sherry! I'm glad you liked it. I like Buck he has become a pretty good friend. I have been watching his new series on Hank and I love his music. I grew up to old Hank's music. I love the old Country, Bluegrass and Folk songs the best.
Please come back and visit my channel and share it with your friends. Can't have to many friends.
Thank you! I love this Fender, the first time I played it, I knew I had to have it. I have many guitars and every one have a different tone. I also have a Gold Tone Electric 6 String Banjo, it sounds great in Country and Bluegrass music. I have a couple of video's using it. Please check them out.
Thank's I'm glad you like it. I'm sure with a little practice I can do it better. I really get the jitters in front of a camera or on stage. I've been play around town as much as I can to get over it.
This is a Fender Resonator Electric, it has a great sound pluged in or unpluged. I love it, it sounds really good with the kind of music I play. I feel that I'm not that good, but I am struggling to get better. I only wish I had started playing when I was a lot younger.
I think your singing is fine for that song!! It is meant to be sung like regular folks sing, That is why so many of us country folk love that song!! Can you imagine how awful it would sound if sung opera style!! Unless its grand ole opry! you are doing it right as far as I'm concerned!
