Ahhh, I love this show. I love the characters, the actors, the plot. I keep rewatching. And I really would love this ending too! But I'm so confused.

It's probably just me but I feel a little disappointed. The producers spent twice as much time emphasizing si tu jing saving bei yun fei and even more time on wen xiang and jian nan's love story. But I think they completely undercovered the jing er being a princess thing. If it's really that easy to just be like hey, let's not kill her..then why didn't the king just do that before? I think he could have convinced his mother like this earlier. And is there really no public pressure

or government pressure on something like this? The future queen might have been part of a zhao fan de organization...I don't quite believe everyone's going to drop that.

I'm also a little displeased with the dowager queen. I love her acting! But I don't find it convincing that the dowager queen listens to whatever her niece and son tells her. What kind of queen was she?

If yun nan wang was there witnessing the last queen's death, how the hell did he get out of the palace?

And why would the queen be by herself when she's dying? I don't get it. And also, why does she only have one child to protect?

I also don't get why nobody seemed to know that yun nan wang was the last queen's older brother

I'm sure he had a really prominent position in the court before the revolution. Why wasn't he killed?

If he has such an influence, and such a large army now...

Of course, he might be a good person..but why didn't he take the chance to revolt a long time ago? Doesn't he want to revenge the deaths of his sister and brother in law?

And even if he didn't have the power then, why was/is the current royal family not afraid of that ever happening?

Even xiu xing has been plotting the kingdom's fall since the start of the show. And by the looks of her, she should have been around si tu jing's age. Which means she probably doesn't even remember her parents. Wouldn't the queen's older brother be much more of a threat?

Like I'm sure the guy who threw the old king off his throne must have had a lot of power. So he must have been some kind of leader. How could he not recognize the queen's brother?

Haha okay. I should totally be doing something more productive. Last thing without going overboard. Nara's an awesome actress. But I don't find this scene convincing. For example, if I were going into a dangerous place to meet a dangerous person, I would not easily believe him. And furthermore, even if I found my long lost uncle, I wouldn't hug him right away. Wouldn't that be awkward?

He doesn't want to revolt against the current government. He's only angry that the current emperor wants to take away part of the land the previous emperor gave him as thanks for his efforts in the revolution.

He doesn't avenge his sister & bro-in-law's death because he was against the match in the first place. He only wanted to save his sister and niece in time, and was sad that he was late (his own fault).

being a "wang", it means that he was one of the leaders in the revolution. The queen even said that she should've listened to her brother telling her that the emperor was a terrible man. He was there to finalize revolution, and save his sister at the same time. He probably kept it down after his sister died.

Queen is by herself because there's no one else in the palace to protect her. Everyone'll be either dead or running away as fast as possible.
