Greatest movie in my eyes, this song shows the true meaning of life to cherish what you have in this point of time and not to worry what the future holds but move on and not dwell in the past.....
i listened to this yesterday the 10th anniversary of 9/11 it makes me feel sad yet great that we will killl the terrorists.i feel like this song gives hope.
@mathewsgame No, but it was used in a fan-made Avatar trailer and that's why people think Klaus Badelt did the score to Avatar which is nonsense. James Horner always does Cameron's movies.
I can't understand how can ppl upload such an amazing piece in MONO :((((( I've looking vor longer version but I CANT put mono track to my mp3 player:(( It's worse than stereo in 32kbps...
lol amanda mumba probly sang this because shez the one in the film the one who playes myra i think lol hehe u no at the strt were his anaged wife gets shot then he goes back in time she gets knocked down i no the answer to y he cnt change the past when god says its time to go its time to go lol i love this movie it rulez i like the part were he apears in there mad time of stone age the best and on from tht
I'm with you on the brilliance of this piece. However, there's a reason why the composor didn't repeat this track over and over. it's why it's such a great track homie!! If you like repitition and kick ass score, I recomend "eXistenZ". Good movie, beter score!! Out
Seriously I could listen to this all day, feels like a ton of bricks are being lifted of my shoulders and my life is becoming less hectic as the song gets into the chorus. To me, this song almost feels personal, like my soul is being cleansed almost. This is one of the great things of life, a beautifle master-piece that gives goosebumps because of it's brilliance and artistic nature.
Oh the memories of my first ever love are locked up in this song, every time i listen to this the lock is unlocked and out pour the memories. It makes me sad because i could never be with the first woman i ever loved and this song reminds me of that :(
I honestly don't blame you for extending this glorious song, it's such a beautiful sound, like Bullet for my valentine's intro'. It's a shame all BRILLIANT songs (and that means brilliant, not 'good') are so short! It's annoying.
Era -era.
Era - impera.
Enigma - roundabout.
Sigur Ros - Njosnavelin.
If you like this song you'll probably like these, they have the same peaceful tone to them.
At that point the ultra short brilliant song was repeated with cross fading. The fading begins with the end of the first text phrase. It's not the best compilation, but what do we care: the song is damn brilliant.
I was making a comment to a previous person's post...why don't you pay attention a bit better next time, whoever you are, TheTheMoon...obviously you haven't read the rest of the comments below where 'gogo245' was curious if it was extended...
Just curious...How is TheLaLuna1, not TheTheMoon1? What's the point in adding the extra 'The' in your name...when 'La' already means 'The'?? ...just sayin' (:
@HerrWagnerfreund It's either gaelic (an ancient language that few still know) or the actual eloi language (which could have been created for this movie or it actually exists).
I love this song. Especially because these songs are often christian songs, and that kind of ruins it for me. This song really makes you feel peaceful.
Can someone please tell me what is name of choir's vocal style (set of voices and progression style) ? I remember, back when i was kid, of few songs using choirs almost exactly like this, and similarly styled melodies, and i am trying to track them down for quite a bit of time :)
For me, its wonderful. Brings back memories, and, for me, has an otherworldly touch. (unrelated to movie's theme. )
El comentario de Jeremy Irons, acerca de que todos tenemos una màquina del tiempo dentro de nosotros;los recuerdos nos llevan al pasado,y los sueños al futuro es realmente fascinante! me identifico totalmente.
i dont get one thing in this movie: main part of the movie is set in 802 701 year.. after the fight with jeremy irons the TM stops in 635 427 810 !! its like 635 MILLION years later and we could see deserted wasteland and skull-like entrences, in general world dominated by morlocks... i cant believe that within 800 000 years ppl evolved into two separated races and after 635MILLION years nothing changed... wtf ?
It's also nonsense that people in 800,000 years will still be able to speak English because of some stones... Everyone knows that in 800,000 the Greater Swiss Empire will rule the entire Galaxy.^^
But no one can learn a language as perfectly as shown in the movie by some signs. Who told them what the words mean? Who taught them grammar, vocabulary, pronouncation, or the alphabet to mention the most basic reason why this is impossible? I mean, they had to do it that way because the audience would be quiet annoyed if the Eloi didn't speak English and the professor didn't speak their language. No communication, no movie. But that doesn't change the fact that it's unrealistic.
@HerrWagnerfreund The Eloi spoke perfect english in the movie because the professor had to understand them somehow for the sake of the audience but in the original book the Eloi did not speak english only their own language. The professor leaned it very quickly because it was extremely simple, just as you expect for a society that does nothing all day except having fun and being eaten by the Morlocks. so they had no reason to develop it
Because it was spoken until the 18th century even as an official language in a lot of states, and we have thousands of books and other sources. Therefore we know a lot of vocabulary and grammar. By some stones, you cannot learn a language. And after 800,000 years, no one still knows a language.
@HerrWagnerfreund I just re-watched this movie yesterday, and I think I have a good hypothesis that could help explain it. The uber-morlocks, the same way they controlled the eloi peoples' fear, probably inspired them to collect and study the ruins stones in the first place. They probably also fed the knowledge of the grammer, alphebet, etc into their minds. Why would they do this? I have no idea. But it would explain how the eloi managed to learn it, as well as why the language survives.
