Both the dancers and the musicians should've rehearsed a little bit more; they did quite good, but they didn't quite make it.

Ive played this piece with the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony a few years back. Brings back great memories :D great job, a few mistakes but they were well enough covered :)

i was in 6th grade playing the clarinet when i first played that. it was kinda hard for me at certain parts but it wasn't for our school band... for a additional orchestra i was in.

the music is good....dancers on stage good idea....I always imagined this music in movement anyway....however, the dancers were perhaps not sufficiently rehearsed thus they lacked the musicality.

TenStarsplus !!!!!! Fantastic pantomime by the dancers and sorcerer and his aprentice!! I thought the orchestra did a fantabulous job on this extremely intricate work!!!! I don't know why but I'm always confusing Paul Dukas who wrote this, with Emil von Reznicek, who composed Dona Dianna, unless it was because they were contemporaries and acquaintences!!!! Also both works have very similar powerful intense undercurrents and movements!!!! I loved this performance!! Kudos to all participants!!!!

just so you know, this show was for kids, mostly under 10 (I know, I went there with my daughter) so you can't expect the dancers to come from the Royal Ballets!!! And the dancing WAS meant to be funny! You're telling a Disney story here!

Orchestra sounded great minus the one or two errors. it is a very tough piece. Great job. I feel bad for the dancers. probably wasn't their fault. Took away from the orchestra.

This piece is so much harder than it sounds.

My state youth orchestra is doing it and it's really hard. The rhythms are so complex. And the harmonic at the beginning is a killer on the pinky. I get hand cramps so easily in this piece. (I play cello)
