@gozac123 It starts with triplets doing snares and crashes on each count the crash. 4 times. After that he continues with the triplets on the snare with 4 hits. Then there are two bursts of four in 32th notes with inbetween the 4 notes 1 16nth count rest, this on each tom and just 2 plain notes on the octobans. The next crash is the first count of the new bar. I May have made some mistakes with the timing.

Somebody knows what pedal or effect is Petrucci using in the minute 7??? I want an effect like that!!! I have heard some tests people do with the boss acoustic simulator and it sounds good but like an electroacoustic guitar with metal strings, and here it sounds more like nylon strings. These guys are awsome!

@ivanleggs Yeah, thats John's custom Music Man guitar and he had a piezzo switch installed into his guitar. So yeah, if you get one of those you would have to install it into your guitar, otherwise buy a guitar with one already installed. And yeah I dont really like Boss's acoustic simulator either haha.

For all those who love this band (like I do) I also recommend Bozzio, Levin, and Stevens.. Certainly different but in the same vein. Terry Bozzio and Steve Stevens are not exactly slouches at their craft either. I think LTE is a bit heavier but, well, If you like what's happening here around 7:01... I think they're worth a serious listen.
