i don't like the sound of cobra pipes. i have a yamaha v star 650 with jardine slip on exhaust and its a deaper louder and better sound than my buddy with a 1600 kawasaki vulcan that has cobras on it so not a big fan of the cobra sounds it just sounds like a cheap exhaust system plus they blue quickly
Hey, Just so I'm not a total jerk, I do own 2 1100 V-stars. best bike for the money ever made. And I have an Electra Glide so that's saying something.
I'd say the Electra Glide and the V-star are an equal ride on long trips. I've done 400+ miles in one day on both numerous times. Have never gotten a numb butt on either. Glide does have music though. I like that.
First off if you've got a real hypercharger and not just a shell, it does give you a performance gain. Any increase in airflow does that. And secondly thanks for proving once and for all that Cobra pipes are the worse sounding pipes you can buy. I can not believe anyone buys these pieces of crap. Last used bike I bought that had Cobra pipes, I took them off and threw them in the trash. But hey, that's just my opinion.
sweet ride..got a question about the hypercharger though...ok i guessin it adds a bunch more horsepower but at what rev rang...is it like down low or wide open that it works it's magic
Dont listen to Gruuvin the Hypercharger actually does add extra power. If the dyno charts dont prove it for you actually riding a bike with the hypercharger on it will. Just ask people who actually own a hypercharger if they notice the difference.

no magic... no nothing. Its just for looks. The hypercharger give NO performance gain.
