Those changes are for making the guitar look better.
To improve the sound get hte recitalbox or tonerite (google them)
They do cost money a free way is to put the guitar in front of high quality speakers and play orchestral music in all keys let it resonate the top and strings.
It will accelerate the play in period of the guitar and improve the sound permanently.
@wolf69a No; the plastic saddle will sound better than bone in a classical guitar. If you want something besides plastic, use TUSQ. Be aware though that your saddle may be glued in. Yamaha used to glue them in years ago, and I don't know when, or if, they stopped doing that. So it may be tough to get out. You have to melt the glue.
I'm not sure of the brand..but it's a china made one, i believe most guitar shops would sell this, ask for classical guitar one..It could be around USD15.
I haven't tried EJ45c (composite strings) but I have used EJ45LP..and I must say it is good. Currently I'm using EXP46 Classical Hard Tension which last 3 times longer. Sound wise ..I prefer EJ45 series..I wanted to try another brand Savarez but haven't had the chance..maybe you can tried it first and let me know. :)
I have my old CG101 Yamaha. Need to change strings. What you think of the EJ45c (composite strings). Or other brand/model sets of strings that you think is best. Open budget. Tks for advice.
Hello sir, I'm about to buy a C40M this weekend. I've been playing guitar for 10 years but it's the first time I ever put my hands on a classical one. Thanks for the tip on the strings, I use D'Addario on my electrics already =)
BTW, could you please explain a little about how to file the fingernails to get a better sound?
Again, thanks for the videos and hope you can help me with the nails too. See you.
Hi, I like the matte thingy for C40M, looks smooth. For left hand fingernails, cut it really short and for the right hand fingernails, cut it curved at the angle of attack..length wise, not to short and not too long..a mix of nails and flesh. File your nails using an emery board, most pharmacy sells this, but I prefer to use the file like the one in the video.
