  • @mumpump My special thanks goes to Puryx aka Christian Rønde who let me use his music for the soundtrack originally created for a demo called Nucleophile

  • Dude. Great music. Stunning graphics. Absolutely the most beautiful CGI I've seen in a long time. I could sit here and watch this for hours. You should do a full-length DVD. =-)

  • Does this video have a point to make other than, "look at the pretty colours as you listen to really crappy music"?

  • Ooh boy, someone ripped the Neucleophile soundtrack. I approve. You have excellent taste in music, my friend.

BTW, what did the professor think of this project?

  • I wish we could have realtime screensavers like that some day :)

    Aleksandar - this is excellent!

  • Thanks. I would love to create it if I only had the time :)

  • Amazing.

  • excellent

  • Nice idea, cool to see the scene bleeding outwards too :) outreach ftw!!

  • Thanks! I was influenced by the scene from the C64 era. But lamely, I have never attended a demo party...

  • it doesnt matter what you use, its how u use it

  • Is this realtime? If no, why not? :)

Also, cute Nucleophile influence there ;)

  • No, I wish it was realtime but Im not that familiar with real time techniques/tools. Its Houdini.

Another influence was Sincere by TBC. Its one of the best demos I have seen.

  • It would be pretty easy to render with basic lambert and ssao. But 1M particle count?! Maybe with CUDA...? I have no idea.

  • My question would be: The best for what? Then, we can go into everlasting debate. But the truth is, the best tool is the one you know the best. And the quality of work depends on the artist.

  • Thank you all!

  • Yes, max is simple and easy to learn. But its not for well suited procedural effects. Softimage ICE is somewhat close to Houdini.

  • Pew Pew, awesome

  • This is amazing. I'm just starting to learn Houdini, and it's extremely complicated. Keep up the great work.

  • awesome akirasan!
