is the poor boy wild caught or has been abused cause i remember i had 2 moluccan cockatoos and they were both wild caught and feather picked just like yours and screamed like yours! r.i.p. conalay and peaches :'(
Aww poor baby :( Why do people get birds just to neglect them?! They are a hell of an investment. I played this to see what my familys blue crowned conure would do. Hehehe, he talked back.
@jaimelynnFL macaws only scream if they want attention. If you get a macaw you at least have to take it out of its cage and interact with it once a day if not they'll begin having a neurotic tempure like plucking its wings and screaming...
we have two scarlet maccaws that were in a similar situation though we are lucky that now they are doing quite well. in fact cody, the male, loves interacting with the family and i think anyone with the heart to take in an animal thats been through so much is a very kind hearted person. just like my mother :)
Wally came to live with us March of 2005. Sometimes he's a pain in the butt... but my husband says "he's our pain in the butt!" We love him despite his quirks.

Wally is gorgeous, even without all of his feathers :) It's wonderful that you've taken him in! How long have you had him?
