  • That's actually really impressive.

  • @CounsilHan Thanks man.

  • dang it some guys get all the fun!!!

  • i wanna try to make my 78 f250 a rock crawler

    it would be pretty funny

  • nice work but wondering if he is coming the same way

  • @RockRacer1982 Its a shame you had to sell it :/

  • Too much power. Don't need it. All you need is a 22RE with a Marlin Crawler Doubler. It'll crawl so much better.

  • Yeah I have a 94 runner and im looking to put the 2jzgte twin turb in it. Nobody in my town will be able to fuck with it. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS TURBOOOO

  • @xxxdylanstonexxx That is going to be sick! My buddy had a SASed 94 with the 7M and that was cool. 2JZ is going to be sick! Be sure to post up some awesome, good quality videos.

  • did it run hot on hot days, and did u run a stock pick up trans so u can do dual transfer case?

  • @leadandbrass1 I only had a cheap single electric fan installed. Yes, it ran hot some days during long periods of slow crawling. In the description I talk a little about the drivetrain, but I ran a 86-87 toyota turbo truck tranny. Because I had rear heat and nice interior, I decided not to mess with duel cases on this one and just be happy with the 4.7 gears.

  • @RockRacer1982 sounds sweet, is the trans from the diesel dually motor home yotas?

  • @leadandbrass1 22R-TE 2.4 cyl gasoline engine from the Toyota pickups and 4Runners. Tranny code R151F.

  • @RockRacer1982 thanks for the info we have had yotas in the fam for a long time. i had no clue to a turbo gas yota. I found a 82 truck in a field, if the price is ok it will be a fun winter project. i just dont know what to do 7mm, 4bt cummins or do a 22re with a mitsubishi tdo3 turbo from the junk yard. all i now is im not picking parts in the snow.

  • amazing runner man

  • thats so badass do you remember what tire pressure you were running

  • can you explain the steps you took to put the stray 6 from the supra like what changes and modification i been thinking of doing the same for a long time already thx

  • Hey man great video... one word of advice though. When you wheel keep your arm in cause if she tips you're screwed

  • like i always say, its funner in the runner. Great rig, sick vid.

  • @motosportjunkie Thumbs up for this comment!

  • @RockRacer1982 Thanks lol. I have an 88 blue 4runner and thats what i always tell my friends when i give them rides.

  • bf goodrich sucks

  • Im guessing those front "fender flares" are to make it street legal or keep the dirt out of your face??

  • @cobiafish Budget flares for the coppers.

  • i wish my 4runner was fast...

  • were did you get your back bumper from

  • @evilcanadian43 My buddies and I built it.

  • fool for puttin a petrol engine in a 4x4... coulda put a turbo diesel and do it with less effort and actually dig into the ground than scrape like a pansy

  • 4runners after being in one first hand are shit there slow get stuck easy stock...buy a jeep

  • @mikel3445 hahaha jeeps suck big time!

  • why do you need 260 hp to crawl up rocks?

  • @okbye1 the stock engine is garbage like even 5speed its slow as balls

  • Would have liked this video without the annoying background music.

  • like the radio action, not to mention the truck itself

  • Comment removed

  • Im wondering why you dont have a lock in your rear wheels.

  • @Lite203 I had a new 4Runner e-locker diff installed, just didn't have the switch wired at the time.

  • @Lite203 I was having trouble because I didn't have the rear locker wired up.

  • very nice rigg man

  • u mean doesnt help having shit tyres~~! get some muddies!!!

  • hey i want to do the supra swap with my 93 4runner. could u give me some advice.

  • @calikidcal1 My buddy who helped me has a site. Suprachared com

  • @calikidcal1 I am doing it to a 1980 model Hilux, it's a big task

  • turn the music off it killed the vid!

  • my buddy caleb now owns this runner, lowered the lift some, runs 40's, bobbed with a partial exo.. it's tits now!

  • @dustinopp Yep, definitely made it even better with his mods and changes.

  • i been on all the trails in the jeep n gotta hand it to ya this yoda is doin a amazing job man .... and the engine swap just make that thing that much sweeter.. keep it up man ... *THUMBS UP*

  • @xXxpaWLxXx Yeah, there are some gnarly trails/obstacles in Area BFE. Thanks man!

  • Makes me miss my 87 22rte truck with a supra ct26 turbo on it.

  • I basically would want to keep my truck street, dirt or mud, not to big on the rock crawling sceen. would i still need to body lift and axle swap? Plus would you prefer the 2jzgte or 7mgte?

  • @Dcoffeyjr1979 It can be done w/o the lift and SAS, but it's going to add lots of frustrating hrs. Maybe not so much leaving the body lift out. You will just need to plan on hammering your firewall in some is all.

  • Thanks for the compliments everyone including go4broke92, bobross07, and sarzamineiran!

  • I like the truck. I have a 87 4x4 pickup that I want to do the same thing to. What would i need besides the motor

  • @Dcoffeyjr1979 A body lift and solid axle swap is would be necessary prerequisites. The truck originally had no body lift and the stock IFS suspension. Lots of time wasted there.

  • that dude is concentrated, sweet truck though

  • I have the same tires on my YJ. 75 MPH all the way to badlands 110 Miles away. Then wheel all day with little to no problems. Love em!! Nice rig man.

  • great! 4Runner forever!

  • Is that the lexus toyota 1MZ-FE V6 aposed to the 1UZ-FE V8

  • @daveduznotrull It's actually the 7M-GTE Supra motor.

  • very nice all u need is tires

  • @Mr03terminator I ran swampers previously and am now running them again on my current Toyota. I was originally driving this 100 miles a day to and from college hence the high mileage tires.

  • that bov sounds nice on 1:30..love it!

  • @d4mi3nBr0th4 I dug it too. Thanks.

  • 0:28 eaven my Jeep Wrangler JK can do better than that

    still pretty good off-raoder... (not)

    lol

  • so it hase a supra engin?

  • Can you swap a supra engine into a 90 4 runner thats what I got just kinda curious, becuse I also have a 88 supra with a good engine in it just not drivable.

  • @RainG36 The original swap that my buddy did was on his 94 4Runner. He has probably done just as much 1st gen runners as 2nd.

  • would you recommend a decent-low cost lift system, maybe 2-3". for same type of vehicle?

  • Trail Gear is the newest big Toyota specialist, taking some of the Toyota gurus from other companies. They have been able to drop their prices more than the others in some areas. Might want to start there. Their products aren't necessarily the best, but they may be the cheapest.

  • @thaLISTnation u know nothin faggiot

  • @thaLISTnation You are either joking, or never been. I feel bad if it's the later.

  • Cool vid, sweet rig! what trails are the videos taken on?

  • @h22ej8 Area BFE, Moab UT.

  • Awesome, I haven't made it out to BFE yet but it's on my to do list for the next trip out in June.

  • June eh? We will be camping there in April. Very cool place and it's nice to know that the area will never be closed to OHVs.

  • It's nice there in april as well! We usually camp down in Kane Creek even though they've fenced 95% of it now (sucks). 1st or 2nd week of June is usually when we make it out, a little warmer but still not unbearable and you miss all of the May mayhem!

  • thats a bitchen ass 4runner i like it very mucho

  • dude cleanest wheeler 4 runner iv seen

  • Should have seen it when I bought it from the original, old owners.

  • thats the longest list of mods ive ever seen on a full bodied toyota 4x4

  • Well they weren't all big deals, but I like to be thorough in descriptions. Crap, I accidently deleted you comment on the other vid!

  • Dude thats the most bad ass rig I've yet to see... just different tires ...... ANYWAYS man badass rig to bad you had to sell it but you wife better give you some brownie points for it.... p.s. way to step up your a good man puttin the family first

  • Thanks Balowin. Yeah, I may never have a rig as capable as this (or my last Toyota 4x4). I wish I could have showed off the capabilities of this one better before I had to sell her. Those tires were chosen because I originally had to daily drive it. The wife realizes the sacrifice I think and appreciates it.

  • Why did you sell it?

  • My wife and I are planning on having another kid soon and fitting 3 car seats in the back would have been tight.

  • all you need is some bogger tires, and you will be ready to climb anything. I have a 1981 toyota pick-up, and i put and 8 inch lift and with 38's on it.

it drives like a dream, and it can go anywere, if you put Bogger tires on em

  • Cool. My Toyota rockcrawler prior to this was an 82 pickup. The new owner of the Runner just installed 40" MTRs though. Looks sick now!

  • dinkum83 said "why did you put a turbo6 in a surf", which would be a HILUX SURF 4runner. they are common in europe and australia and are turbo diesel. mine is from japan and is RHD

  • Ah thanks. Well, I changed out the motor on this because I hydrolocked the stocker following my Gramps through a river. My buddy was into the 7M motors at the time and had some to spare.

  • hey i have a 1987 4runner and was wanting to put the supra turbo in mine and was just wonderin if it bolted right to it or did you have to make modifications....

  • If you used the stock W56 tranny and a 5M bellhousing, it will bolt right up. The motor mounts bolt up also.

  • good driving skillz mate, but why have a turbo 6 in a surf.. there shit forbys....

  • Why have a turbo 6 in what? Not sure I understand the last part.

  • DOH! My baby's gone to another owner. Had to take her far away to another state so I may never get to see her again :-(

  • where did you get the gage pod for the pillar?

  • I found it on gaugepod.

  • How much you asking for it

  • $5,900 OBO. More pictures can be viewed on IH8MUD. Of course that is mainly a Land Cruiser site so there's not as much interest there as some of the other sites I have it posted on.

  • what year supra?

  • It's the older MKIII 86.5-92.

  • wait this4runner has the straight 6 from the suprs in it?

  • It does.
