Bruce is such and admirer of great music and great musical talent. He absolutely loves to perform with other talented people, especially people who can do certain things he cant. He is clearly an admirer of Vedders and his vocal range of which Bruce does not posses. As a Springsteen fan I love watching him do things like this, or when he plays with John Fogerty or Dylan or even Warren Zevon when he was still alive.

Eddie is the fan. He is the male Sheryl Crow. Check out the other Springsteen stuff he covers live solo. A better example is the Who and Pete

Townshend. Pete and Eddie have so many live collaborations doing both Who, Townshend and PJ stuff. He also has stuff with REM, Petty and many more. I love Bruce but he is not Eddie's only idol.
