This song sounded a bit different than your other stuff (in a good way). I liked the change of dynamic in the song, quiet and mellow at the beginning and then building it up with the hook.

Awesome "oooh" parts in the background. They are so simple and translucent, but the song wouldn't be the same without it. I absolutely love the chorus, it is one of your best.

Despite some of the comments stating otherwise, I think that the theme of this song is captured wonderfully in the chaotic movements within. Sure it doesn't precisely fit the standard pop parameters, but I fail to see why that is a bad thing.

I think that the song structure is going to confuse people. There needs to be more cohesiveness throughout the song. The only thing that anchors each part is the story of the lyrics. I like the second part of the verse where you used more diminished chords. But I think that the second chord of the chorus or the "i am so far gone now" part doesn't resonate very well. I still love your music, I just think your songs will benefit from more structure. This is just one opinion though.

Music can be anything that the artist wants it to be. There is a Classical Concerto called "Tacet" Tacet means don't play, or No Noise. When the Artist performed it, he walked out to his Piano (Outside concert), sat there, opened the score, and then just sat there. The music was what you heard, Birds, people shifting, coughing, talking, the wind. So its all in what the artist wants to get across.

I agree that this one is a bit too chaotic to have mass appeal, but it still works within the framework of the song. The entire song is about someone losing their mind so it is appropriate that the structure be off kilter. Personally, I feel that the chorus is actually one of the more "people friendly" parts of the song. The Chilli Peppers have certainly done well with similar progressions.
