I wonder how can people not understand this without some videos?.. I mean come on, it's logical, that if you have 4 fingers, you should use all of thom in order to achieve the comfort and speed which is neceserely needed. I use my pinky on my left hand (fretting hand) but when I started bass I got to where I could use my index, middle, and ring so fluidly that I never bothered with the pinky, but now I see that these past four years went to waste. The pinky can be so useful. I've started using it and I feel like it's getting more coordinated. Thanks for the post

good advice. I had issues when I started playing with this. now I'm much faster but I also play alot differently. I use alot of 3rd chords where I play the 3rd an octave hight like play f# on the e string with my index and the a on the g string with my pinky
