hmm i know vario, hirobo have kits and heli world in their catalog have 2 but theyre slightly different.. the hh-65a im pretty sure has the extended flir nose and ec-155 is your common medical dauphin from what im aware of
@dauphinnut2011 OK. Well that's progress. Looks like an HH-65C Dauphin 2 with the extended nose. Now who built this beautiful machine? Hopefully, they will come along and be able to answer your question. I'm going to throw out a guess that it was $5,000.
I do not know, but since you are a Dauphin nut, maybe you can help. You can find pictures of the Dauphin with serial number 6582 described as HH-65A and HH-65C models. It can't be both, can it? I think this comes from a Vario kit. I tried to search the usual ScaleRCHelis, RunRyder, etc., but no luck.
Maybe I can help, I'm an AMT (Aviation Maintenance Technician) in the US Coast Guard. In regards to the HH-65A and HH-65C, the last letter is simply the series designation. The Alpha models as we call them in the CG are no longer in use we are now using the Charlie model. The difference being the upgrades to various systems radios, engines, etc. The Charlies came with a longer nose cone than the Alfas to facilitate a larger radio/radar configuration/upgrade on the helo.
